论桐城派德行教育思想

摘    要:中国传统文化中的德行观,是以儒家思想为指导,以仁、义、理、智、信为核心。现代化背景下的晚清时期,社会急遽转型,桐城派教育家经世致用,与时俱进;但一直坚守儒家德行观,竭力推行传统的德行教育。以桐城派教育文献分析为基础,结合教育家本人和教育对象生动事例的分析,归纳出进德尚志、奉公勤业、修己治人等桐城派德行教育思想。

Abstract:Virtue in Chinese traditional culture, rooted in the Confucianism, involves its core values of benevolence, righteousness, reason, intelligence and faith. During the late Qing dynasty in the background of modernization and the drastic social transition, Tongcheng school educators advanced with the times and advocated application in reality. Meanwhile, they stuck to the Confucian view of virtue and pursued the traditional virtue education. This article reviewed the Tongcheng school of literature on education in the case of educators and educational objects to summarize Tongcheng school’s virtue educational thoughts focused on virtue and morale, law-abiding and hard-working, ruling others by self-discipline, etc.
