主要探讨话语标记语的使用对提高学生口语连贯性,从而促进英语口语交际能力的作用。话语特征和表达式的语言特征共同赋予话语标记以功能,而所有的话语标记都具有指别功能。这种指别功能为生成和理解语句提示语境坐标,实现增强话语连贯的作用。因此,外语教师应对话语标记语进行讲解,利用音频视频等语料范例和语料库资源组织教学,使学习者投入到真实的交际式的语言运用之中。 相似文献

The dramatic growth in the number of children learning English as a second language in our country has led to a corresponding
increase in the need to understand how teachers and schools can effectively teach children who are learning English as a second
language. Many teachers report not feeling prepared to meet the needs of these children (National Center for Education Statistics,
Teacher preparation and professional development: 2000. , 2002). The current study used focus group interviews to examine how Head Start teachers in one program addressed the special learning
needs of children learning English in their classrooms. Key challenges involved communicating with children and their families
in their home language. Teachers used other staff, parents, and children in the classroom to interpret. Strategies involved
visual aids, pictures, gestures, and a welcoming classroom environment. Resources used by teachers were professional development
and language skills of other staff. However, available resources were often underutilized and limited for teachers to use
in meeting the challenges the teachers faced in the classroom. Suggestions are presented for overcoming the challenges and
limited resources encountered by teachers, such as changes in preservice and inservice training opportunities, and second
language learning opportunities for teachers. Further implications for training and research are discussed. 相似文献

智能语音系统因其具有发音标准、资源丰富、操作便捷等特点,已逐步应用于英语课堂教学中。文章通过对智能语音系统支持下的课堂教学活动建构编码表,采用录像研究方法,对应用智能语音系统进行授课的英语课堂教学进行了深度剖析。研究结果表明智能语音系统在创设情境、教师讲授、巩固练习等教学活动中,能够提高学生在标准的英语环境中参与学习的积极性,激发学生听说的兴趣,培养学生学习英语的自信心。同时在师生互动、学生参与等方面也发挥了积极和重要的作用。 相似文献

Unfortunately, there is little research which supports the incorporation of flipped learning in the English as a foreign language classroom. Numerous studies have focused on flipped learning and other subject areas, but more research needs to be done on the English as a foreign language classroom. With this in mind, there are many effective tools available to enable teachers to create a communicative, English as a foreign language learning environment. This paper presents research about the effect of intensive work with diagrams on high school students' use of diagrams in geometry. It identifies three obstacles, culled from previous research, which students must overcome when examining and interpreting diagrams: Diagrams are particular; common usage confuses certain standard diagrams with the classes of objects to which they belong; and a single diagram can be viewed and described in different ways. The paper outlines the resources of the Geometric Supposer, a set of microcomputer software tools which were designed to aid students in overcoming these obstacles. The bulk of the paper presents evidence from students' papers and classroom comments indicating that over the course of a year's work students using the Supposer became more facile in their use of diagrams and were able to overcome each of the three obstacles.The preparation of this paper was supported in part by the National Academy of Education's Spencer Fellowship program. 相似文献

The need for including English language learners in the regular classroom at all phases of their linguistic and cultural development is presented within a Vygotkian sociocultural theory of human development. Based on the social primacy of development within this theoretical tenet, all aspects of development are viewed to proceed from social interactions. Effective social interactions that lead to development are distinguished by a heterogeneous collective experience of all participants in the interaction. In accordance with the sociocultural perspective, the educational goal of this heterogeneous group is to acquire and use cultural tools deemed appropriate to their time and place. As others’ cultures and languages become rich resources for becoming competent in one’s own culture, the cultural and linguistic diversity gained by including all students in the classroom becomes a powerful source of development for all. 相似文献

课堂提问是培养学生思维的重要手段。IRQA师生互动模式能有效提升课堂讨论的思维含量。本文以十节高中英语优质课为研究对象,分析IRQA模式在高中英语教师课堂上的实施情况,分析高中英语教师的课堂提问情况、学生在课堂上的回答情况、学生第一思考和第二思考情况。这些均为IRQA模式能否成功实施的关键因素。研究结果表明:现教师追问,合理运用学生第一思考和第二思考时间的意识和能力偏弱,且学生在课堂上的回答情况不佳。 相似文献
