In this paper, we use input and output maps to develop simple procedures to obtain minimal realizations for linear continuous-time systems. The procedures developed are numerically efficient and yield explicit formulae for the state-space matrices of the realization in terms of the system parameters, notably the system eigenvalues. Both systems with distinct eigenvalues and repeated eigenvalues are treated. We also present a procedure for transforming a realization obtained through the input or output map to Jordan canonical form. The transformation matrices required to transform the realization to Jordan canonical form are specified entirely in terms of the system eigenvalues. We illustrate the results obtained with several examples.  相似文献

An algebraic treatment of operational differential equations with time-varying coefficients is presented in terms of skew rings of differential polynomials defined over a Noetherian ring. Included in this framework are delay differential equations with time- varying coefficients. The operator equations are characterized by transfer matrices which are utilized to construct realizations given by first-order vector differential equations with operator coefficients. It is shown that the realization of matrix equations can be reduced to the realization of scalar equations. Finally, a simple procedure is derived for realizing scalar equations.  相似文献

Decomposition rules are derived for multiport-transformers, -resistors, -storage elements and -gyrators into 1- and 2-port elements, junctions and bonds. It appears that it is useful to extend the vectorbond, or rather multibond, notation recently proposed by the author with a “multibond array”. Canonical forms are introduced on the basis of minimal realization, because decompositions of multiport elements are not unique. A new type of coupling factor (“directed coupling factor”) is introduced for multiport-resistors and capacitors.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of delay-dependent stability of a class of uncertain Lur’e systems of neutral type with interval time-varying state delay and sector-bounded nonlinearity has been considered based on Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach. By constructing a candidate Lyapunov–Krasovskii (LK) functional, less conservative robust stability criteria are proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The reduction in conservatism of the proposed stability criteria over recently reported results is attributed to the candidate LK functional used in the delay-dependent stability analysis, and to the tighter bounding of the time-derivative of the functional without neglecting any useful terms using minimal number of slack matrix variables. The proposed analysis, subsequently, yields a stability condition in convex LMI framework, and is solved non-conservatively at boundary conditions using standard numerical packages. The effectiveness of the proposed stability criterion is demonstrated through standard numerical examples.  相似文献

The minimal realization theory for input–output maps that arise from finite- dimensional, continuous time, bilinear systems is discussed. It is shown that an observed bilinear system (i.e. a bilinear system together with an observation functional, but without a fixed initial state) is completely determined by its input–output correspondence, i.e. its multivalued input–output map. A precise formulation and proof of the result are given that continuous canonical forms for bilinear systems do not exist. This is done by adapting to the bilinear case an idea due to Hazewinkel and Kalman for the case of linear systems. In addition, the proof presented here has the advantage of not involving any algebraic geometry, which makes it considerably simpler than the original proof of the linear systems result.  相似文献

The problem of minimum phase robustness for a second-order mass-dashpot-spring system is studied. The allowable margin for multidirectional perturbations of the input and output influence matrices is derived in terms of structured singular value to guarantee minimum phase of the system. Within the margin, the minimum phase property can still be ensured even the actuators and sensors are not collocated. To obtain less conservative results, the perturbation matrix with minimal dimension is derived in the paper. Two examples are used to illustrate the proposed approach.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new image encryption method based on matrix semi-tensor product theory. Using Hyperchaotic Lorenz system to generate chaotic sequences, and then using this chaotic sequence to generate two fixed scrambling matrices. The plain image is scrambled by chaotic positioning sort scrambled method. Analogous to a chemical reaction, the plain image scrambled image is one of the reactant, then add a matrix which is related to the plain image information and extracted from the chaotic sequence (this matrix can be differ in size from the plain image matrix, different matrices can be intercepted and generated according to different plain image). This matrix is scrambled as another reactant, Apply the method of semi-tensor product to carry on the reaction (diffusion), finally get the product (encryption image). This method breaks the shackles of the traditional matrix operation and makes the reaction matrix have more forms. Compared with other experimental results, the proposed algorithm is more secure and available.  相似文献

Applying a state-space technique and the reactance extraction principle in the realization of multiport network functions by means of grounded active RC networks containing grounded voltage-controlled voltage sources (VCVSs) and using a minimum number of grounded capacitors, a new theorem concerning the least upper bound on the number of grounded VCVSs sufficient for the realization is proved. The obtained expression for the least upper bound allows one to generate the least upper bound on the number of VCVSs sufficient to realize each of all possible different types of multiport network functions.The proof of the theorem is based upon the use of results concerning the number of VCVSs sufficient and, in general, necessary to realize an arbitrary real multiport network function by means of grounded active resistive multiport networks embedding grounded VCVSs, and on the results concerning the possibility of choosing a convenient equivalent minimal system realization.  相似文献

We study the exponential stability and boundedness problem for perturbed nonlinear time-varying systems using Lyapunov Functions with indefinite derivatives. As the limiting function for the perturbation term, we use different forms and give stability and boundedness conditions in terms of the coefficients in these bounds. Contrary to most of the available conditions, we allow the coefficients to be unbounded. But instead, we put forward a condition that requires a series produced by coefficients to be limited and exponentially decaying. We perform our results on Linear time-varying systems and generalize many of the available results.  相似文献

Various aspects of analysis and synthesis of resistive n-port networks are considered in this paper. Two different characterizations of the network are examined, the Y matrix characterization and the K matrix characterization. Based on these characterizations, a set of equations is derived which relate the edge admittances with the elements of these matrices. When the K matrix is given, these equations are linear and can be solved analytically. When the Y matrix is given, the equations are bilinear and cannot be solved analytically. In this case, the problem is formulated as an optimization problem and techniques of nonlinear programming are used to obtain a realization. Synthesis from the Y matrix is finally extended to include sensitivity considerations.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of boundary control for a class of semi-linear parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs) with non-collocated distributed event-triggered observation. A semi-linear Luenberger PDE observer with an output error based event-triggering condition is constructed by using the event-triggered observation to exponentially track the PDE state. By the estimated state, a feedback controller is proposed. It has been shown by the Lyapunov technique, and a variant of Poincaré–Wirtinger inequality that the resulting closed-loop coupled PDEs is exponentially stable if a sufficient condition presented in terms of standard linear matrix inequality (LMI) is satisfied. Moreover, a rigorous proof is provided for existence of a minimal dwell-time between two triggering times. Finally, numerical simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed design method.  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of global exponential dissipativity for a class of uncertain discrete-time BAM stochastic neural networks with time-varying delays, Markovian jumping and impulses. By constructing a proper Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and combining with linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, several sufficient conditions are derived for verifying the global exponential dissipativity in the mean square of such stochastic discrete-time BAM neural networks. The derived conditions are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which can be easily solved by some available software packages. One important feature presented in our paper is that without employing model transformation and free-weighting matrices our obtained result leads to less conservatism. Additionally, three numerical examples with simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness and usefulness of the obtained result.  相似文献

Cross-hierarchical interconnectivity is a social process of transmission and alignment of previously separated pieces of knowledge from idiosyncratic contexts of individuals at different hierarchical levels in an organisation. This paper advocates that the management of interconnectivity can contribute to organisational competitiveness, especially in terms of adaptability, innovation, and cohesion. Based on the parameters of mode, actor's culture, time, direction, type of knowledge, and medium, a portfolio of interconnectivity is suggested and the core forms and mechanisms of interconnectivity, which are represented in the portfolio matrix, are discussed in depth. Finally, the specific culture of corporate executives and how it can be improved in order to encourage interconnectivity is analysed.  相似文献
