Coopetition analyses the simultaneity of competitive and cooperative behaviours between rival firms. Scholars have focused their attention on strategic alliances, but specific coopetition issues are seldom addressed through in-depth studies. On the basis of inter-organizational relationships, coopetition provides partners with a competitive advantage by enhancing their knowledge creation and transfer, but exposes firms to the risk that rivals may capture their own knowledge. In this, it becomes necessary for firms to mix knowledge creation and transfer strategies with knowledge protection practices. This paper reports on a qualitative study of 37 firms and sheds light on the specific knowledge development process for the partners engaged in coopetition.  相似文献

如何战略性地整合专业化知识是高技术创业企业在市场竞争中取胜的关键,尽管一些学者在研究中提到“战略知识整合”,然而对其具体模式及影响尚缺乏深入的探讨。本文以中国4家高技术创业企业为研究对象,采取探索性多案例研究的方法挖掘战略知识整合的模式类型及其与高技术创业企业竞争优势的关系。案例分析结果表明:战略知识整合模式包含计划式知识整合和应急式知识整合,上述两种战略知识整合模式及其交互作用对高技术创业企业竞争优势具有积极影响。本研究有助于从战略形成的视角打开“战略知识整合”的黑箱,丰富和拓展战略知识管理视角和知识基础理论。此外,本文为转型经济情境下高技术创业企业如何获取知识的战略价值以获取竞争优势提供理论指导。  相似文献

本文探讨了战略联盟中的企业绩效问题.通过引入知识获取这一中介变量,把信任和冲突与企业绩效联系起来,并使用结构方程模型对它们之间的关系进行了检验.本文使用的数据来自127个德国联盟企业.研究结果表明,信任将通过知识获取的中介作用对企业绩效产生正向影响.而冲突对知识获取的影响作用并不显著,说明冲突可以不经过知识获取的中介作用直接降低企业的绩效.此外,企业的知识获取与其绩效呈现正向的相关关系,表明企业需要重视知识管理活动以增强竞争力.  相似文献

This paper examines firm-level performance implications of strategic alliances by employing knowledge management practices as intermediaries. Unlike previous research which focuses on partner firm factors, this study investigates how alliance characteristics (i.e., alliance scope and governance) affect interfirm knowledge sharing and creation, and how these two practices and their interaction in turn affect innovative performance. These questions are examined in a sample of 127 German partnering firms. Results show that joint ventures as opposed to contractual alliances are more effective and influential in facilitating knowledge sharing and creation. In contrast, the scope of alliance activities, while positively associated with knowledge sharing, has no direct relationship with knowledge creation. In addition to these results, the study also finds that knowledge sharing, knowledge creation and their interaction significantly contribute to partner firms’ innovative performance.  相似文献

合作R&D是竞争对手间组建战略联盟的重要动机之一,因此对研发活动的效率进行测量与评价是分析此类联盟的重要内容,而评价方法的设计与选择也是研究的重点和难点。本文尝试将数据包络分析(DEA)方法引入到竞争性战略联盟的效率评价领域,应用多时段生产效率变化指数模型,分析了医药产业中竞争性联盟对R&D效率的影响,并评价了当前竞争性联盟中研发活动的效率水平。研究表明,与竞争对手合作开展R&D能够在较大程度上提高组织的总体研发效率,促进产业技术水平升级。本文研究结果对企业如何提升技术创新能力具有启发意义。  相似文献

In many high technology industries, strategic alliances have become important for improving a firm's financial performance by providing knowledge that can be used to develop the capabilities needed to introduce new products. Therefore, researchers have examined those characteristics of alliances that can contribute to the performance of high technology companies. There is agreement that the structure and knowledge flows within alliances can affect a firm's innovativeness. However, to date, researchers have studied alliances as individual events or transactions, failing to recognize their synergistic effects as a coherent portfolio. Viewing alliances as a portfolio of strategic agreements, we suggest that portfolio characteristics will be associated with a high technology firm's innovative and financial performance. Also, we suggest that portfolio characteristics will influence absorptive capacity. We test these propositions using a sample of 2456 alliances formed by 143 biopharmaceutical firms. The results indicate that alliance portfolio characteristics and absorptive capacity jointly influence performance. The implications of these findings for high technology firms are discussed.  相似文献

 本文探讨了战略联盟中组织学习、知识创造与企业创新绩效间的关系。我们假设企业向合作伙伴学习新知识不仅会直接影响企业的创新活动,还会通过知识创造的中介作用间接影响企业创新的绩效。我们使用127个德国联盟企业数据的统计结果表明,两个假设都获得了通过。得出如下结论:联盟企业在通过学习获取外部知识的同时更应注重在企业边界内创造新知识,从而提高其创新能力和绩效水平。  相似文献

企业是一个开放系统,必须通过与外界环境不断进行沟通和交互才能维持其生存和发展。企业的网络结构可以使企业获得知识和信息优势,网络中企业之间的互动可以使企业得到知识外部性的好处,同时企业之间的互动会产生系统性的网络效应,使得企业的价值创造行为在企业之间的联系更为紧密,从而增加了企业进行价值创造的机会。在知识和信息已经成为企业竞争优势的今天,企业与其合作之间可以通过网络关系的建立而获取持续竞争优势。  相似文献

本文通过对重庆、深圳、西安等地建立了非对称竞争性战略联盟的近500名企业中高层管理人员的问卷调查,利用结构方程模型,从实证的角度,研究了非对称竞争性战略联盟中资源依赖性、关系风险和联盟绩效的相互影响。研究结果表明,非对称竞争性战略联盟中,资源的依赖性对联盟关系风险具有显著的正相关影响,关系风险对联盟绩效具有显著的负相关影响,而资源依赖性对联盟绩效只具有部分的负相关影响。表明在非对称型与对称型竞争性战略联盟中,资源依赖性、关系风险和联盟绩效三者之间的关系存在很大的差异,处于联盟中的企业应注意这种差别所带来的影响。  相似文献

Resource-based theory suggests that unique and tacit resources may be key sources of sustainable competitive advantage. This framework is particularly compelling for technology-driven firms, where knowledge-based strategic assets are critical resources. In this paper we argue that managers pursuing a resource-based advantage are impeded by two mutually reinforcing and potentially interacting barriers: [a] structural and procedural characteristics of the resource-allocation process, and [b] individual cognitive biases in decisions involving uncertain, long time horizon investments. While the competitive challenge of implementing resource-based theory arises from the strategy literature, we describe how firms must address problems that exist at the organizational and individual levels to achieve a sustainable advantage.  相似文献

资源的匮乏常常是技术创业企业发展中面临的主要困难。而战略联盟为技术创业企业提供了一种以资源互补、风险共担、利益共享为基础的合作和发展模式,成为技术创业企业把握创业机会、实现快速发展的有效途径之一。本文首先针对技术创业企业与大企业构建的战略联盟,从资源基础观和"战略-结构"的视角,建立了技术创业企业构建战略联盟的"动因-行为-收益"整体分析框架;进而对高技术创业企业海兰信公司进行了深入案例研究,分析了其通过构建战略联盟获取资源、实现成长的内在机制。研究发现,技术创业企业选择联盟战略后,可以通过与伙伴企业进行组织间的合作、沟通和学习,使资源得到互补,战略更加明晰,组织结构更加完善,从而实现创业企业成长和绩效提升。在此基础上,本文提出了技术创业企业构建联盟的"动因-行为-收益"模型。  相似文献

越来越多的国内高技术企业通过建立跨国技术战略联盟的方式进行技术创新与合作。本文通过量表设计、问卷调查并收集国内325家建立了跨国技术战略联盟的高技术企业有效研究样本,对提出的研究假设和理论框架进行实证分析,研究发现:第一,我国高技术企业在建立跨国技术战略联盟过程中,高效的合作机制的建立和具备一定的战略动机来安排联盟过程尤为重要;第二,有效的战略联盟动机可以正向调节跨国技术战略联盟合作机制和联盟稳定的关系;第三,在控制变量的检验过程中,越是市场化的企业、联盟合作时间越长,联盟的制度越稳定和成熟。高技术企业与合作联盟成员的文化距离和差异越大,联盟越不稳定。高技术企业具备一定的国际化经验可以提升跨国技术联盟合作中的质量。跨国合作技术战略联盟的企业之间具有一定的战略资源互补性,可以提高联盟的稳定性。  相似文献

技术战略联盟是合作伙伴资源共享、提高技术创新效率和共同创造价值的组织,但其创新活动往往伴随着各类风险,在实践中很多联盟的运行没有达到预期效果。如何降低联盟的运行风险,优化合作路径既是理论的前沿问题,也是实践亟待解决的难题。本文研究了技术战略联盟运行风险、协同合作与联盟稳定的关系,通过实证研究,结果表明:第一,技术战略联盟运行过程中利益冲突风险和分歧冲突风险会降低联盟的稳定性,而联盟依赖风险初期会提高联盟绩效,但随着依赖程度的逐渐加深,参与各方的自主开拓创新能力有可能受损,从而降低联盟绩效;第二,联盟内部的自主合作可以正向调节技术战略联盟运行中利益冲突风险、分歧冲突风险与联盟绩效的关系,并且削弱联盟依赖风险对联盟绩效的倒U型效应,从而起到协同优化的作用。政府扶持对技术战略联盟运行风险与联盟稳定关系的调节作用并不明显。  相似文献

Even though knowledge assets have been widely recognized as the principal drivers of firm's competitive advantage, few are the frameworks that have explained how these strategic assets are transformed into value and how the value creation process occurs. Also there is a confusing terminology in the literature surrounding many concepts explaining the dynamics of value creation. By conducting a Systematic Review – an evidence-based methodology for theory building – this paper seeks to define a ‘common language’ of the concepts used to explain this phenomenon, and build the assumptions of a theoretical model that explains how knowledge assets, through learning mechanisms, are linked, renewed, and leveraged into socio-technical processes or organizational routines, that in turn form the basis of organizational capabilities. As they are socially constructed, these organizational capabilities, when leveraged into products and services, generate value and provide firms with a sustainable competitive advantage and long-term superior performance. The model should therefore serve as a theoretical contribution to the literature and it has a further potential benefit to begin an inquiry, for both theory building and management, about the nature of firm's knowledge assets and organizational capabilities, and the sources of sustainable competitive advantage. 随着市场竞争的不断加剧,隐性知识成为决定企业竞争优势的根本因素。基于交易成本理论,该研究探讨了研发联盟中契约完备程度与隐性知识获取之间的关系,并分析了竞争强度与程序公平对上述关系的调节作用。通过来自于中国196个研发联盟样本数据的实证分析,该研究发现契约完备程度与隐性知识获取之间存在着显著的倒U型关系;竞争强度负向调节该倒U型关系,而程序公平对上述关系没有显著的影响。  相似文献

Knowledge has become the main competitive tool for firms. Just as knowledge is considered as the most important strategic resource, knowledge management (KM) is considered to be critical to a firm’s success. Several attempts have been undertaken to identify and define the different KM processes. From the literature review, four key dimensions stand out as affecting KM processes: knowledge creation, knowledge transfer, knowledge storage/retrieval, and knowledge application. The aim of this paper is to contribute to the KM and value literature by determining the importance of the different processes of KM for increasing value creation and value capture in firms. The context for the research hypotheses is the Spanish banking industry in 2010. The results support a positive relationship between KM and value creation, and between value creation and value capture.  相似文献

In this paper we examine the strategic role of data resources in emergent industries. We contrast the resource-based view and the relational view theories to examine how data resources can help organizations create and capture value. We compare two organizations from two different industries to understand how different types of data resources can provide a competitive advantage. We also examine the role of strategic partnerships in capturing value created through the exploitation of data resources. We conclude that while data often serve as a required resource for entry into new markets, strategic partnerships play a critical role in capturing value created through the exploitation of data resources. The emergent partnership structures are remarkably similar across the two organizations. They target rapid market expansion through encapsulation of data resources within highly scalable web services and the use of standardized legal contracts. We also find that temporal decoupling between value creation and value capture can expose firms to the erosion of the competitive advantage gained through investment in data resources.  相似文献

技能型战略联盟是国内外日益重要的企业战略合作形式,联盟成功的关键性决定因素是这种伙伴关系的事后维持,在伙伴关系的事后维持中,重要的行为要素则是信任.运用结构方程模型分析了技能型战略联盟中信任、知识获取、合作效应之间的关系,证实了增强合作伙伴之间的相互信任,能够有效地增加企业知识获取、增大合作效应,对指导企业参与技能型战略联盟、正确处理伙伴之间的关系具有重要的实际意义.  相似文献
