With the constant development of Chinese tourism industry,tourism in Chinese economy,accounting for a large proportion.More and more foreign tourists came to China,tour great mountains and rivers,tourist attractions,to understand Chinese national customs.In this way,the community of our translation and foreign-related tourist information guides the work of a higher demand to adapt to Chinese continued integration with the international tourism industry.The translation of tourist attractions in the tourism and cultural presentation plays a very important role.Especially at current time more and more foreign tourists come into China to have a trip.As a result,translation between Chinese and English is vital to this course.Due to the increase of the exchanges between China and the rest of the world,more and more foreign visitors come to China.However,the translation work of our domestic spots hasn’t been done well,and it causes a lot of misunderstanding to the foreign visitors,and influences our international communications.Especially,we will meet a lot of problems of translating the names of scenic spots frequently.Because these name come from different cultures and different countries,it is really hard to translate them properly.  相似文献

Cultural differences have a great effect on English learning,especially on college English reading.Reading is a crucial tool in acquiring information and knowledge.Culture cannot be separated from language.College English reading should focus on the differences of culture.It is important to understand how to lay stress on the differences in the course of college English teaching and learning about reading for increasing students’ ability of reading.This thesis analyzes the influence of culture on English reading and tries to set up a principle of teaching English through culture.To support my point of view,the relationship between language and culture is discussed first.Language is a part of culture and shaped by culture;it is also the carrier of culture and reflects cultural features of a community in which the language is spoken.Language and culture are closely related with each other.From the aspect of language teaching and learning,to teach a foreign language is to teach another culture;to learn a language is also to learn another culture.  相似文献

Product data management (PDM) is a unique technique that integrates and manages all applications, information and processes defining a product from design to manufacture, and to end-user support. However, exploration of valuable information and knowledge from the PDM system has become a key in improvement of efficiency and implementation of knowledge management in an enterprise. This paper introduces a data mining prototype system model based on PDM, and emphasizes some important techniques such as design of the prototype system framework, methods of data selection and integration of data mining prototype system and PDM. The model basically solves the problem of functional losses in mining and analyzing data in PDM. Application of data mining to PDM is meaningful to the ideas and techniques of PDM, and to the rapid development of data mining application itself. Also, it is useful in improving development and usage of enterprise databases.  相似文献

Diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer have been improved during the last decade; however, breast cancer is still a leading cause of death among women in the whole world. Early detection and accurate diagnosis of this disease has been demonstrated an approach to long survival of the patients. As an attempt to develop a reliable diagnosing method for breast cancer, we integrated support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighbor and probabilistic neural network into a complex machine learning approach to detect malignant breast tumour through a set of indicators consisting of age and ten cellular features of fine-needle aspiration of breast which were ranked according to signal-to-noise ratio to identify determinants distinguishing benign breast tumours from malignant ones. The method turned out to significantly improve the diagnosis, with a sensitivity of 94.04%, a specificity of 97.37%, and an overall accuracy up to 96.24% when SVM was adopted with the sigmoid kernel function under 5-fold cross validation. The results suggest that SVM is a promising methodology to be further developed into a practical adjunct implement to help discerning benign and malignant breast tumours and thus reduce the incidence of misdiagnosis.  相似文献

Language is used to exchange information,but it means far more than that.It is also employed to establish and maintain social relationships.Language has varieties.Only by acquiring the variety of language a speech community adopts can a person be accepted and establish a target social identity.The movie My Fair Lady is a good illustration to this point,and Eliza’s experiences of transforming from a poor flower girl to a charming"princess"are cited in this paper.Both linguistic features like phonology,grammar,syntax and lexicon,and paralinguistic characteristics like pitch,volume,intonation,manners and topics will altogether contribute to the construction of a social identity.The ultimate goal is to cultivate people’s awareness of social identity and be conscious to speak.  相似文献

This paper introduces a set of services for the creation of on-line surveys, questionnaires, exams and self-assessment tests within a virtual community system used in e-learning settings. The system, called "Online Communities", is a dynamic web application used as platform for blended learning activities by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Trento. The functionalities added to the platform are contextualized into virtual communities, where activities take place. This allows us to create, submit and analyze questionnaires within and/or outside the boundaries of a community. Furthermore, the system allows to manage libraries of queries organized by the teacher/administrator of the community according to topics and levels of difficulty, in order to produce tests and generate self-assessment sessions on behalf of students. The addition of a questionnaire/ poll/self-assessment tool to a virtual community system can add a lot of interesting features, mainly using the inheritance mechanism implemented among different hierarchically-connected communities. This paper will present these functionalities and highlight one of these services, precisely the one dedicated to self-assessment. In the system, self-assessment tests have indeed a double nature: (1) They are useful to students for checking their own level of preparation; and (2) They are useful to lecturers as an indicator of the level of preparation reached by the students. In order to encourage the use of the system within the whole educational process, and not to limit the real use of the service to the period of the final exams only, the possibility has been foreseen for each participant to share his/her own test results, comparing them with the other members of the community, and even offering real "challenges", thus transforming passive and "solitary" learning into something much more stimulating and "social".  相似文献

A number of dry bridges have been built to substitute for the roadbed on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, China. The aim of this study was to investigate the exothermic process of cast-in-place (CIP) pile foundation of a dry bridge and its harm to the stability of nearby frozen ground. We present 3D heat conduction functions of a concrete pile and of frozen ground with related boundaries. Our analysis is based on the theory of heat conduction and the exponent law describing the adiabatic temperature rise caused by hydration heat. Results under continuous and initial conditions were combined to establish a finite element model of a CIP pile-frozen ground system for a dry bridge under actual field conditions in cold regions. Numerical results indicated that the process could effectively simulate the exothermic process of CIP pile foundation. Thermal disturbance to frozen ground under a long dry bridge caused by the casting temperature and hydration heat of CIP piles was substantial and long-lasting. The simulated thermal analysis results agreed with field measurements and some significant rules relating to the problem were deduced and conclusions reached.  相似文献

Entrepreneurship education in the South Africa is often presented as a neutral discipline. Yet fundamental to any entrepreneurship education program should be the integration of key issues, such as ethics, values and social responsibility. This paper reports on a study that set out to explore student teachers experiences of engaging in an entrepreneurship education program specially enhanced to create an awareness of the link between entrepreneurship and social responsibility. It argues that exposure to a program of this nature is a powerful means to dispel the myth that entrepreneurship is a neutral discipline and that such exposure creates useful avenues for student teachers to examine their own constructions and perceptions of entrepreneurship and social responsibility. This paper draws on data constructed in a qualitative research project that engaged the tenets of symbolic interactionism in order to understand how students experienced the program and to understand their changing perceptions.  相似文献
