Abstract This article reviews a number of Spanish/English legal dictionaries, evaluating the relative merits and features of each. Translating legal terms requires an understanding of both the legal context in which the term is used and the legal context in which the translation is intended. In this piece, the author uses his updated bibliography of the first 200 years of Littleton's Tenures to examine many aspects of early English legal printing. These include the development and evolution of the content of early legal materials, as well economic and other factors driving the market for printed law books. Summary Reference publishing is in an era of competing technologies: print and electronic. For large multivolume reference books, the transition from being primarily a print resource to being primarily electronic is well advanced, perhaps nearly complete. For many smaller reference books, such as dictionaries, thesauruses, and almanacs, the transition is less advanced; in fact, it seems likely that print and electronic editions of such works may coexist for years to come. There are good reasons for this to happen, but this situation also poses challenges to librarians, publishers, and patrons. This article reviews some of the aspects of this transitional era in terms of what has been learned so far and what may develop in the future. 相似文献

SUMMARY Researching initiatives and referenda in Wyoming is fascinating, partly because Wyoming was one of the first states to consider the option of initiatives for its citizens. This makes for an interesting history. Wyoming is also unique in that it has the most stringent initiative requirements in the country, which makes for an elaborate and rigid process. The result is a limited number of successful ballot measures and a collection of honest attempts. Fortunately, researching Wyoming initiatives and referenda is not as difficult as getting them passed. An annotated bibliography is included with helpful Wyoming-specific resources. 相似文献
