Objective:To evaluate the effect of chitosan(CH) and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) seed coatings and seedling sprinklings on two different maize varieties by measuring their phenology,the H2O2 presence,the catalase(CAT) activity,and the protein quantity.Methods:Seven groups of ten seeds for each maize variety were treated with CH(2%(20 g/L) and 0.2%(2 g/L)) or H2O2(8 mmol/L) by coating,sprinkling,or both.Germination and seedling growth were measured.One month after germination,the presence of H2O2 in seedlings in the coated seed treatments was evaluated.Protein content and CAT activity were determined under all treatments.Results:H2O2 seed coating enhanced the germination rate and increased seedling and stem length in the quality protein maize(QPM) variety.Seedlings had a higher emergence velocity under this treatment in both varieties.CH and H2O2 sprinklings did not have an effect on seedling phenology.Exogenous application of H2O2 promoted an increase of endogenous H2O2.CH and H2O2 seedling sprinkling increased the protein content in both maize varieties,while there was no significant effect on the CAT activity of treated seeds and seedlings.Conclusions:CH and H2O2 enhance some phenological and biochemical features of maize depending on their method of application.  相似文献

TiO2 fibers were prepared via alternatively introducing water vapor and Ti precursor carried by N2 to an APCVD (chemical vapor deposition under atmospheric pressure) reactor at ≤200 ℃. Activated carbon fibers (ACFs) were used as templates for deposition and later removed by calcinations. The obtained catalysts were characterized by scanning electron micros- copy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Brunauer, Emmett and Teller (BET) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis The pores within TiO2 fibers included micro-range and meso-range, e.g., 7 nm, and the specific surface areas for TiO2 fibers were 141 m^2/g and 148 m^2/g for samples deposited at 100 ℃ and 200℃ (using ACFI700 as template), respectively. The deposition temperature significantly influenced TiO2 morphology. The special advantages of this technique for preparing porous nano-material include no consumption of organic solvent in the process and easy control of deposition conditions and speeds.  相似文献

Sedum alfredii Hance has been identified as zinc (Zn) and cadmium (Cd) co-hyperaccumulator. In this paper the relationships of Zn or Cd hyperaccumulation to the generation and the role of H2O2 in Sedum alfredii H. were examined, The results show that Zn and Cd contents in the shoots of Sedum alfredii H. treated with 1000 μmol/L Zn2 and/or 200 μmol/L Cd2 increased linearly within 15 d. Contents of total S, glutathione (GSH) and H2O2 in shoots also increased within 15 d, and then decreased. Total S and GSH contents in shoots were higher under Cd2 treatment than under Zn2 treatment. However, reverse trends of H2O2 content in shoots were obtained, in which much higher H2O2 content was observed in Zn2 -treated shoots than in Cd2 -treated shoots. Similarly, the microscopic imaging of H2O2 accumulation in leaves using H2O2 probe technique showed that much higher H2O2 accumulation was observed in the Zn2 -treated leaf than in the Cd2 -treated one. These results suggest that there are different responses in the generation of H2O2 upon exposure to Zn2 and Cd2 for the hyperaccumulator Sedum alfredii H. And this is the first report that the generation of H2O2 may play an important role in Zn hyperaccumulation in the leaves. Oar results also imply that GSH may play an important role in the detoxification of dissociated Zn/Cd and the generation of H2O2.  相似文献

To improve the working and living environment of submarine crews, an integrated system of CO2 removal and O2 regeneration was designed to work under experimental conditions for 50 people in a submarine cabin during prolonged voyages. The integrated system comprises a solid amine water desorption (SAWD) unit for CO2 collection and concentration, a Sabatier reactor for CO2 reduction and a solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) unit for O2 regeneration by electrolysis. The performances of the SAWD-Sabatier-SPE integrated system were investigated. The experimental results from the SAWD unit showed that the average CO2 concentration in the CO2 storage tank was more than 96% and the outlet CO2 concentration was nearly zero in the first 45 min, and less than 1/10 of inlet CO2 after 60 min when input CO2 was 0.5% (1000 L). About 950 L of CO2 was recovered with a recovery rate of 92%-97%. The output CO2 concentration was less than 0.2%, which showed that the adsorption-desorption performance of this unit was excellent. In the CO2 reduction unit we investigated mainly the start-up and reaction performance of the Sabatier reactor. The start-up time of the Sabatier reactor was 6, 8 and 10 rain when the start-up temperature was 187.3, 179.5 and 168 ℃, respectively. The product water was colorless, transparent, and had a pH of 6.9-7.5, and an electrical conductivity of 80μs/cm. The sum of the concentration of metal ions (Ru^3+, Al^3+, Pb^2+) was 0.028% and that of nonmetal ions (Cl^-, SO4^2-) was 0.05%. In the O2 regeneration unit, the O2 generation rate was 0.48 m^3/d and the quantity was 2400 L, sufficient to meet the submariners' basic oxygen demands. These results may be useful as a basis for establishing CO2-1evel limits and O2 regeneration systems in submarines or similar enclosed compartments during prolonged voyages.  相似文献

Mg-25 wt% Mg2Ni composite was prepared by sintered method,hydrided at 613 K and then ball-milled with 1.5 wt% PdCl2 additive for 51 h. The effects of PdCl2 on the hydriding and dehydriding behavior of Mg-25 wt% Mg2Ni composite were investigated. The absorption and desorption rate of the composite with PdCl2 is fast and the hydrogen storage capacity is more than that of the composite without PdCl2. The maximum hydrogen storage capacity reached 3.48 wt% at 373 K,and 5.05 wt% H at 453 K,respectively. The improvement of sorption and desorption kinetics is attributed to the catalytic effect of PdCl2,and the grain refining and lattice strain introduced by ball milling.  相似文献

Calcium carbide slag, generated in the hydrolysis process of calcium carbide, is an potential carbon capture reagent because its main ingredient is Ca(OH)2. Calcium carbide slag, a by-product of a resin factory was used as carbon capture reagent. The change of pH and electrical conductivity (EC) of the calcium carbide slag slurry with different solid-to-liquid ratios, as well as the capture efficiency and dynamics under different temperatures and flow rates of CO2 were studied. The properties of solid were characterized with XRD, TG-DTA, SEM and FT-IR before and after capturing carbon. The results show that the change of pH and EC were greater with low solid-to-liquid ratio than that with high solid-to-liquid ratio. The analysis of XRD and SEM show that the content of CaCO3 increased significantly, which improved that Ca(OH)2 and free CaO were reacted with CO2. The results of TG-DTA and FT-IR show that the physicochemical properties and microstructure of the slag changed after capturing CO2 because of the increase of CaCO3 content. All the results mentioned above improve the feasibility of utilizing calcium carbide slag to capture CO2 and offer a practical way for carbon emission reduction and disposal of wasted calcium carbide slag.  相似文献
