Fibrillar proteins form structural elements of cells and the extracellular matrix. Pathological lesions of fibrillar microanatomical structures, or secondary fibrillar changes in globular proteins are well known. A special group concerns histologically amorphous deposits, amyloid. The major characteristics of amyloid are: apple green birefringence after Congo red staining of histological sections, and non-branching 7-10 nm thick fibrils on electron microscopy revealing a high content of cross beta pleated sheets. About 25 different types of amyloid have been characterised. In animals, AA-amyloid is the most frequent type. Other types of amyloid in animals represent: AIAPP (in cats), AApoAI, AApoAII, localised AL-amyloid, amyloid in odontogenic or mammary tumors and amyloid in the brain. In old dogs Ap and in sheep APrPsc-amyloid can be encountered. AA-amyloidosis is a systemic disorder with a precursor in blood, acute phase serum amyloid A (SAA). To compare mid-infrared(MIR)and near-infrared(NIR)spectroscopies for the determination of the fat and protein contents in milk,the same sample sets with varying concentrations of fat and protein were measured in the MIR range of 3 200-700 cm-1 and NIR range of 9 000-4 000 cm-1.The spectral features in the two regions were analyzed.The MIR spectra of milk were characteristic due to the MIR inherent molecular specificity,whereas the NIR spectra were relatively characterless due to the NIR low selectivity.Partial least squares(PLS)regression models for fat and protein were developed by using both MIR and NIR spectra.MIR data with no pretreatment gave better results than NIR data.The square correlation coefficient(R2)and the root mean square error of prediction(RMSEP)were 0.98 and 0.10 g/dL for fat and 0.97 and 0.11 g/dL for protein.With NIR techniques,satisfactory results were not obtained with raw data.However,NIR data after pretreatment gave similarly good results to the ones using MIR method.This paper indicates that either of the MIR and NIR spectral methods is reliable for the determination of the fat and protein contents.  相似文献

In order to carry out decolorization, sludge protein solution, a dark brown close to black solution from activated sludge, was subjected to 60Co γ-ray irradiation in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. UV/Vis spectrophotometric method was used to investigate the effect of H2O2 on the coloration apparent kinetics and rate constants of sludge protein solution under γ-ray irradiation. In addition, the effects of irradiation dose, initial sludge protein solution concentration, and pH value on the decolorization efficiency of sludge protein solution were studied. Results showed that the decolorization apparent kinetics of sludge protein solution was a first-order reaction. The solution decolorization percentage increased with the increase of irradiation dose or the decrease of initial sludge protein solution concentration. The examination results of pH value showed that the sludge protein solution could be more efficiently decolorized in alkaline media than in acid media. Moreover, sensory evaluation and foamability analysis indicated that irradiated samples under H2O2 oxidation showed better sensory score and foamability.  相似文献
