Quantum computing technologies have become a hot topic in academia and industry receiving much attention and financial support from all sides. Building a quantum computer that can be used practically is in itself an outstanding challenge that has become the ‘new race to the moon’. Next to researchers and vendors of future computing technologies, national authorities are showing strong interest in maturing this technology due to its known potential to break many of today’s encryption techniques, which would have significant and potentially disruptive impact on our society. It is, however, quite likely that quantum computing has beneficial impact on many computational disciplines. In this article we describe our vision of future developments in scientific computing that would be enabled by the advent of software-programmable quantum computers. We thereby assume that quantum computers will form part of a hybrid accelerated computing platform like GPUs and co-processor cards do today. In particular, we address the potential of quantum algorithms to bring major breakthroughs in applied mathematics and its applications. Finally, we give several examples that demonstrate the possible impact of quantum-accelerated scientific computing on society.  相似文献

Semiconductors, a significant type of material in the information era, are becoming more and more powerful in the field of quantum information. In recent decades, semiconductor quantum computation was investigated thoroughly across the world and developed with a dramatically fast speed. The research varied from initialization, control and readout of qubits, to the architecture of fault-tolerant quantum computing. Here, we first introduce the basic ideas for quantum computing, and then discuss the developments of single- and two-qubit gate control in semiconductors. Up to now, the qubit initialization, control and readout can be realized with relatively high fidelity and a programmable two-qubit quantum processor has even been demonstrated. However, to further improve the qubit quality and scale it up, there are still some challenges to resolve such as the improvement of the readout method, material development and scalable designs. We discuss these issues and introduce the forefronts of progress. Finally, considering the positive trend of the research on semiconductor quantum devices and recent theoretical work on the applications of quantum computation, we anticipate that semiconductor quantum computation may develop fast and will have a huge impact on our lives in the near future.  相似文献

Collaboration is an important aspect for virtually all workplace environments. Workplaces often encourage and foster collaboration in a variety of ways with the purpose to collectively focus the group's attention on a specific problem and solve it as quickly and as efficiently as possible. While collaboration is generally viewed as a positive aspect of the workplace, the negative aspect—interruption—cannot be ignored. Interruptions are an important research area of human-computer interaction and with the growth of pervasive or ubiquitous computing on the rise, the number of interruptions we experience on a daily basis is also growing. It is for these reasons that interruption is and will continue to be a key issue in workplaces.This report presents the findings of a qualitative research project which explored interruptions in a mid-size software development company based in Ontario, Canada. The purpose of this research was to identify the types of interruptions (both on- and off-task) that occur during typical office software related activities, explore the contextual characteristics surrounding these interruptions, and identify methodologies that could be used to reduce the cost of interruptions and increase employee effectiveness and satisfaction.  相似文献

In the era of autonomous systems, the security is indispensable module for flexible computing environment. Due to increased computer power and network speed, a new computing paradigm, such as cognitive inspired computing, will emerge. Such a paradigm provides human-centered services that are convenient and enjoyable at any time, anywhere, and on any device. On the foundation of smart city environment, human computer interaction, intelligent services, and universal device connectivity, Cyber Physical Computing for Cyber Physical systems has recently been investigated. However, in this proposal, a cognitive inspired framework for securing CPS is scrutinized. The cognitive ability is conceded to the search engines by updating the PageRank ranking methodology. The proposed framework, named SecureCPS is trained with real time collective dataset for marking the relevancy of web page with the support the facial expressions. The eye regions are marked using Focal Point Detector algorithm. The framework is validated with machine learning models and resulted in achieving 98.51% accuracy and its outperforms the existing frameworks.  相似文献

Software as a Service (SaaS) is regarded as a favorable solution to enhance a modern organization's IT performance and competitiveness; however, many organizations may still be reluctant to introduce SaaS solutions mainly because of the trust concern—they may perceive more risks than benefits. This paper presumes that an organization will augment the trust of adopting SaaS solutions when perceived risks decrease and/or perceived benefits increase. To gain insights into this issue, a solution framework using a modified Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) approach is proposed. The core logic is to treat perceived benefits and perceived risks as two distinct themes so that a visible cause–effect diagram can be developed to facilitate the decision makers. A case study is conducted on a Taiwanese company—one of the world's leading manufacturers in the niche and specialized resistor markets. The findings suggest that the case company concern more about strategic-oriented benefits than economic-oriented benefits and more about subjective risks than technical risks. 以智慧芽专利数据库的量子信息专利文献为数据源,基于专利计量的研究方法从时间、地域、专利申请人等多个层次进行专利数据分析,及时追踪量子信息技术发展态势,重点分析了发达国家的量子信息技术发展状况,挖掘典型机构和高价值专利。研究发现:量子信息技术正处于发展上升周期,美国是量子计算的强国,中国在量子通信稍占优势,量子保密通信、量子计算机是量子信息技术的研究热点。最后根据研究结果,提出要从国家层面做好量子信息顶层规划,加强基础研究,培养一批高水平人才,产学研融合发展,打造量子信息产业生态。  相似文献

在新一代信息技术搭建的虚拟集聚空间中,如何打破传统组织边界建立非地理临近网络关系对数字赋能型企业成长具有关键作用,揭示不同虚拟集聚型网络关系对企业成长差异化影响的内在机制具有重要意义。本文聚焦云计算企业,整合网络和制度逻辑视角探讨了虚拟集聚型网络规模、互联性、角色多样性对企业成长的影响。结果表明:虚拟集聚型网络规模促进企业成长,网络互联性与企业成长呈倒U型关系,角色多样性促进企业成长,且制度逻辑差异对网络角色多样性与企业成长的正向关系、网络互联性与企业成长的倒U型关系均具有负向调节作用。该研究结论拓展了制度逻辑理论在虚拟集聚形态中的研究范畴,对数字化时代不同背景企业如何在虚拟集聚中协作共赢具有指导意义。  相似文献

This empirical article focuses on information seeking—related to personal development—via World Wide Web sites. In order to obtain detailed and valid data, free-form Web searches by 15 individuals were observed and videotaped. The 687 sites visited by the informants, along with their actions therein, were examined and coded. The study explores the entity focus and origin of the viewed WWW sites, as well as the tactics of moving within and between sites. Correlations between the variables are also analysed. One of the most interesting findings was that personal resources—documents within the user’s computer—are a part of the Internet, too, when they are connected to it. This observation highlights the potential importance of researching the ways in which internal and external search for information differs, and what roles local resources have.  相似文献

James Rachels’ seminal paper “Why Privacy Is Important” (1975) remains one of the most influential statements on the topic. It offers a general theory that explains why privacy is important in relation to mundane personal information and situations. According to the theory, privacy is important because it allows us to selectively disclose personal information and to engage in behaviors appropriate to and necessary for creating and maintaining diverse personal relationships. Without this control, it is implied, the diversity of relationships would diminish; relationships would “flatten out”, we might say. The aspect of the paper that addresses information flows (what I refer to as his information privacy theory) has been of particular interest to computer information privacy theorists. Despite its continued importance to computer privacy theorists, however, the information privacy theory appears to be contradicted by recent developments in computing. In particular, since the publication of Rachels’ paper we have seen an extensive amount of personal information collected. Further, recent developments in computing falling under the heading of social computing have brought about a new wave of personal information creation and collection. This paper will reassess and resituate Rachels’ information privacy theory in light of these developments. I will argue that the increasing collection of personal data will not flatten relationships as the information privacy theory predicts because such data lack contextual factors important to Rachels’ general theory. The paper will conclude by pointing to some areas where Rachels’ general theory and where his information privacy theory will continue to be relevant.  相似文献

Boolean logic performs a logical operation on one or more logic input and produces a single logic output. Here, we describe a microfluidic DNA computing processor performing Boolean logic operations for gene expression analysis and gene drug synthesis. Multiple cancer-related genes were used as input molecules. Their expression levels were identified by interacting with the computing related DNA strands, which were designed according to the sequences of cancer-related genes and the suicide gene. When all the expressions of the cancer-related genes fit in with the diagnostic criteria, positive diagnosis would be confirmed and then a complete suicide gene (gene drug) could be synthesized as an output molecule. Microfluidic chip was employed as an effective platform to realize the computing process by integrating multistep biochemical reactions involving hybridization, displacement, denaturalization, and ligation. By combining the specific design of the computing related molecules and the integrated functions of the microfluidics, the microfluidic DNA computing processor is able to analyze the multiple gene expressions simultaneously and realize the corresponding gene drug synthesis with simplicity and fast speed, which demonstrates the potential of this platform for DNA computing in biomedical applications.  相似文献

云计算是国家“新基建”战略的重要支点。云计算产业空间组织机理存在自上而下政府引导和自下而上企业自组织的双重特性,政府提升产业集聚的地区政策和云计算虚拟化、网络化技术属性之间看似矛盾的关系,是引发本文探索的起点。利用2010-2016年上海市1637家云计算企业数据,描绘城市内部云计算产业空间特性,并分析不同集聚模式对企业创新的影响效应。研究发现:(1)上海云计算产业呈现中心集聚、多点联动的空间格局,随着产业链向后端延伸,企业的空间分布越向中心城区集聚。(2)云计算产业仍然具有地理性,产业链内部专业化集聚和多样化集聚对不同技术类型企业创新的影响呈现梯度变化特征。政府应审视产业链内部不同集聚模式的创新效应差异性,进一步优化产业空间布局,促进创新资源在空间上的有效配置。  相似文献
