In order to find out the best way to assess students’ oral achievement and to see if quiz can be used as a valid measurement of oral ability,we conducted an experiment.Quizzes were given to students each week.The results of final exam and that of quizzes were compared to see if there is discrepancy between the two.The results of our experiment showed a high correlation between students’ quiz scores and exam scores.The class teacher can very well predict how a student will perform in the final exam.A way to assess students’ oral achievement is also suggested. 相似文献

The purpose of this essay is to argue that the genetic engineering may bring about benefits to human health and the environment.By means of research of secondary source collection,relevant evidence is selected,evaluated and organized into three main parts:improving agricultural environment,providing effective medical therapy and supplying safe and nutrition food to human body.In order to explain the benefits that created by genetic engineering technologies,examples based on opinions of experts and results of experts’ experiments are used.The research results strongly suggest that the genetic engineering has positive effects on environment and mankind.Base on those finds,the argument is justified that genetic engineering is certainly beneficial to the environment and human health.In the future,more attention and researches should be focus on the genetic engineering with the purpose of benefiting human beings and the natural worlds. 相似文献

Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis(SWH) is a great contribution to the study of the relationship between language and thought.This paper, with a dialectic view, aims to do some analyses to the SWH and arouse the readers the implications of the hypothesis on the second language learning. The analysis is based on explanations with examples. Instructional reform movements in the 1990s called for an effective and concurrent integration of various educational components. For effective classroom instructional reform, it was suggested that teaching method （pedagogy）, learning theory, and technology be promoted concurrently to form synergistic relationship. Thus, the primary purpose of this paper is to report a research that investigated the use of constructivism （learning theory） and technology in project-based learning （pedagogy） in elementary school classrooms. This paper consists of three main parts. The first part introduces the idea of integrating elements of pedagogy, learning theory and technology in a synergistic manner. The second part outlines the research findings of the extent of such integration in an elementary school. The final part of this paper provides suggestion on how these elements can be integrated in an effective and synergistic manner in order to bring about an instructional reform in education. 相似文献

This paper investigates how graph representation can be created for the mesh which is a discrete approximation of n-dimensional continuous space. The paper discusses the relationship between mesh dimensionality and the type and quantity of edges connecting each vertex with its neighbors. The objective of this paper is to explore the operation of magnet and professional development school （PDS） programs in a real life situation using an ethnographic study of Downtown Elementary School （DES-a pseudonym） that simultaneously operates as a PDS and a magnet school. The author spent almost three years at DES, located in the Southern United States, collecting data through participant observation, interviewing, and document collection. The purpose is to provide answers to compelling questions such as： What does it mean to have both magnet and PDS programs operating simultaneously in the same school as in the case of DES？ What can be learned from the experiences of the unique school-DES？ The paper provides an outline of both magnet and PDS programs and their operations at DES and analyzes how these programs are interrelated and intertwined. Some of the outcomes indicate that DES is about the only school in its locality that juxtaposes two innovative school reform programs. These programs impede each other＇s progress sometimes and in some cases feed off each other. There is a lot to be learned from the unique experiences of DES. Coupled with other conclusions, the author concludes that, PDSs, as school restructuring projects are intertwined with magnet schools＇ reform activity which is motivated by the drive to provide equity of opportunity to learn, particularly for poor, minority and black students in mostly urban areas who are at a disadvantage for various reasons. The final section of the paper takes a critical look at the issues at stake through the lens of critical multiculturalism. 相似文献

The purpose of this study is to investigate the integration of strategic management and quality assurance in higher education. The study presents how the value chain can be described in the strategy and quality maps, which are, respectively graphical representations of the strategic plan and the quality assurance system. The quality map is a new concept that explicitly takes into account the environment, strategic planning and the quality cycle of the institution. The coherent field of objects and relations of a theoretical nature; and thus it constitutes a favorable ground for the learning of the reasoning and justification. In geometry, even if the reasoning is assisted by concrete elements such as drawings, it is not based on actions or spatio-visual elements. Arguments based on mathematical properties are required in geometrical reasoning. A successful teaching of the geometry directly depends on the subject knowledge of the teachers. Another purpose is to map out the different kinds of justifications implemented by teachers related to such an activity. Analyses of the responses indicate that a large proportion of preservice teachers use visual elements for their geometrical constructions and they are tended to use naive empiricism concerning their justifications. 相似文献
