为解决上下位机串口通讯的仿真问题,以温度检测仿真系统为例,给出了具体的解决方法。系统以Proteus为平台,VC++和KeiluVision3为开发工具,虚拟串口软件SUDT Serial Null模拟RS232串121连接,上位机采用MSComm控件进行串口程序编写,实现了在一台计算机上单片机与PC机之间串口通讯的仿真。  相似文献

Reverse transfers, students who transfer from four‐year to two‐year colleges, now make up 20% of the two‐year college enrollment. This paper will describe reverse transfers in terms of demographics, educational goals, and academic performance. Data from thirteen two‐year colleges includes official student records on a 1984 class of newly enrolled students and a survey of this same cohort.

Reverse transfers differ significantly from two‐year natives in terms of race and other demographic characteristics. Reverse transfers were older, more likely to be married, employed full‐time, and had higher socioeconomic status indicators. Reverse transfers’ parents were more likely than native students’ to have earned a college degree.

Two‐year students who had already earned a college degree had short‐term occupational goals aimed at upgrading job skills or making themselves more employable. Those who had not yet earned a degree were most likely to aspire to the bachelors degree. Reverse transfers earned significantly higher grades than natives. Reverse transfers were less likely to be enrolled in remedial courses or to indicate a need for special help in basic skills in order to succeed at the two‐year college.  相似文献

Education funds in Brazil comprise local revenue and intergovernmental transfers. This study analyzes the importance of budget structure on government spending in education by estimating the effects of two characteristics of the fiscal arrangement: (i) a minimum spending rule, and (ii) a set of intergovernmental transfers. The minimum spending rule has increased educational spending only for municipalities that were below the minimum; for those above the minimum, we find a negative effect of the rule. Whereas our results indicate that the minimum rule has increased investments in low-spending municipalities, it has not affected spending in personnel for high-spending ones. We then analyze whether the sources of funds matter to government spending by estimating the flypaper effect of intergovernmental transfers using an instrumental variable method. We find a significant flypaper effect for redistribution transfers. Interestingly, we do not find flypaper effect for other types of intergovernmental transfers.  相似文献

This study examined financial transfers from adult children to non-co-resided elderly parents in Hong Kong, and it tested the parental repayment hypothesis regarding motives for transfers. Specifically, the research question is whether financial transfers are a function of the education or earning capacity of adult children.

Based on data from a representative sample of adult children who provided financial support to their elderly parents aged 60 and above, we used multiple regression models to identify the correlates of the amount of transfers from children to their mother or father living apart.

We found evidence supporting the parental repayment hypothesis, that providing security in old age is the children's repayment for parental investment in their education. There is only a weak relation between the number of children and the transfers. This calls into question common assumptions about the extent to which a decline in fertility poses a threat to the extent of familial support of older persons in the coming decades.  相似文献

This paper examines pupil school mobility in urban Kenya using African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC) household survey data which contain information on pupil transfers between schools. The aim is to identify which school characteristics attract the greatest demand for incoming transfers. The analysis reveals that there are frequent transfers in the slums than in the non-slum settlements; that transfer are in favour of private schools; and that quality is the main motivation for the transfers. Quality schools are perceived to have good discipline and better teacher performance. Given these results, should the Kenya government recognise the ‘low cost’ schools found in the slums which serve nearly half of the pupils and devise mechanisms of funding them?  相似文献

通过对中国沪、深股市2006-2008年175家上市公司股东大宗增减持公告信息进行研究发现:减持样本在公告前,增持样本在公告后有显著的正累计异常收益,投资者在大宗增持公告后买入是一种较好的投资策略;公告后的信号效应对市场的影响大于公告前转让行为,对于上市公司股东大宗股权转让的信息披露监管比交易行为监管更为重要;公告前数据显示存在牛熊市不对称价格影响,熊市减持样本有公告前股东操纵股价迹象。本研究对全流通下市场监管和投资者策略选择具有一定意义。  相似文献

For many underrepresented minority students, the path to the baccalaureate degree begins with initial enrollment at a community college. Unfortunately, only a small percentage of students interested in transferring actually do transfer to a 4-year institution. Of these transfers, few graduate with a baccalaureate degree within 6 years of initial matriculation at their community college. This study was completed to see if the graduation rates for underrepresented minority community college transfer students vary depending on the type of receiving institution. In addition, an analysis was conducted to determine if the factors that best predict timely graduation for these transfers vary by ethnicity. Results from a suite of logistic regression models indicated that the factors that predict timely graduation for underrepresented minority transfers were not the same for each ethnicity. The most predictive factor for African-American transfers was enrollment in a 4-year transfer program at the community college. For Hispanic transfers, obtaining some type of credential before transferring was most predictive of timely graduating with a baccalaureate degree. On the other hand, the Grade Point Average (GPA) at the receiving 4-year institution was most predictive of timely graduation for Asian transfer students. The study was not able to conclusively determine the types of institutions that were the most successful graduating minority community college transfers.  相似文献

Reverse transfer students, those students who matriculated at four-year colleges and then transferred to two-year colleges, have been enrolling in community colleges since at least the 1960s. Consisting of both undergraduate reverse transfers and post-baccalaureate reverse transfers (individuals who already have at least a bachelor s degree), these students represent at least 16 % of community college enrollments nation-wide. A concern about the admission of reverse transfers is that they may take enrollment spaces, particularly in selective programs, at the expense of potential students with no previous college experience and with weaker academic backgrounds. Analysis of documents written about reverse transfers indicates that their enrollment has been justified under a variety of rationales, including providing a second chance for these individuals in school and in the job market.  相似文献

While intergovernmental transfers are widely used in improving local education, how local governments in non-democracies allocate fiscal transfers, given they are not electorally accountable, remains unclear. We study the impacts of the 2006 Chinese Education Finance Reform, one of the world’s largest education transfer grants, on public school spending. By comparing 1600 Chinese counties that were treated differently in timing and matching ratios, we show natural experimental evidence on how heterogeneous top-down and bottom-up accountabilities affect the allocation of transfer grants. On average, intergovernmental transfers did not increase the total spending levels of local public schools. The causal mechanism is that the transfers crowded out preexisting local public education investments in extra-budgetary accounts that were not scrutinized and audited by upper-level governments. Heterogeneity analyses further demonstrate that the policy only improved public school spending in counties where public employees had greater means of holding local governments accountable.  相似文献

We estimate the impact of external financial support on the labor supply of students during their tertiary education. Using a dynamic labor supply model and accounting for the endogeneity of income from private transfers, we find a significantly lower likelihood of being employed for transfer recipients. Our results suggest that private transfers lead to a shift in students’ time allocation, lowering their hours devoted to working and increasing their time devoted to studying. We find evidence for a psychological component of receiving transfers through an increase in the perceived risk of failure in academic studies.  相似文献
