The objective of the present study was to compare the toxicity and availability of Fe(Ⅱ) and Fe(Ⅲ) to Caco-2 cells.Cellular damage was studied by measuring cell proliferation and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release. The activities of two major antioxidative enzymes [superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx)] and differentiation marker (alkaline phosphatase) were determined after the cells were exposed to different levels of iron salts. The cellular iron concentration was investigated to evaluate iron bioavailability. The results show that iron uptake of the cells treated with Fe(Ⅱ) is significantly higher than that of the cells treated with Fe(Ⅲ) (P<0.05). Fe(Ⅱ) at a concentration>1.5 mmol/L was found to be more effective in reducing cellular viability than Fe(Ⅲ). LDH release investigation suggests that Fe(Ⅱ) can reduce stability of the cell membrane. The activities of SOD and GPx of the cells treated with Fe(Ⅱ) were higher than those of the cells treated with Fe(Ⅲ), although both of them increased with raising iron supply levels. The results indicate that both Fe(Ⅱ) and Fe(Ⅲ) could reduce the cellular antioxidase gene expression at high levels.  相似文献

Contrast tests were carried out to study the fatigue performance of the butt joints treated by ultrasonic peening, aiming at the improvement of ultrasonic peening treatment(UPT) on welded joints of a new material. The material is a new generation of fine grain and high purity SS400 steel that has the same ingredients as the traditional low carbon steel. The specimens are in two different states:welded and ultrasonic peening conditions. The corresponding fatigue testing data were analyzed according to the regulation of the statistical method for fatigue life of the welded joints established by International Institute of Welding(IIW). Welding residual stress was considered in two different ways: the constant stress ratio R = 0.5 and the Ohta method. The nominalstress-number (σ-N) curves were corrected because of the different plate thickness compared to the standard and because there was no mismatch or angular deformation. The results indicated that: 1 ) Compared with the welded specimens, when the stress range was 200 MPa, the fatigue life of the SS400 steel specimens treated by ultrasonic peening is prolonged by over 58 times, and the fatigue strength FAT corresponding to 106 cycles is increased by about 66%; 2) As for the SS400 butt joint ( single side welding double sides molding) , after being treated by UPT, the nominal S-N curve (m = 10) of FAT 100 MPa(R =0.5) should be used for fatigue design. The standard S-N curves of FAT 100 MPa (R = 0.5, m = 10) could be used for fatigue design of the SS400 steel butt joints treated by ultrasonic peening.  相似文献

The objective of the study is the cytocidal and inhibitory effect of energy-controllable pulse on ovarian cancer cell line SKOV3.Ovarian cancer cell suspension were treated by electric pulse with different parameters,.The inhibitory rate(IR) was assayed by modified colorimetric MTT methods,the growth curves of two test groups and one control group were also measured.and the ultrasturctureal changes were observed under electron microscopy(EM) and scan electron microscopy (SEM),It was found that the treated SKOV3 cell proliferated more slowly.IR was increased with the enhancement of pulse paramters,The ultrastructural study showed that morphological changes occured obviously.Swollen mitochondria,fracutured ridges,cytoplasmic vacuoles and membrane holes appeard in most of the processed cells,and a part of bilayer membrane was ruptured.It is indicated that irreversible electric breakdown occurred in some of the treated cells,and the electric pulse could kill cancer cell and inhibit its recovery and growth.  相似文献

The treatment of relapsing primary nephrotic syndrome in children   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Objective: To explore better therapy and reduce the rate of re-relapse of primary nephritic syndrome in children who had been treated with corticosteroids but relapsed. Methods: Eighty relapsers were enrolled from Jan. 1994 to Apr. 2000, who were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group (n=39) had been treated with tripterysium glucosides for three months, with the control group (n=41) members were treated with cyclophosphmide (CTX) by intermission intravenous pulse, with total dose of CTX not being more than 150 mg/kg. Prednisone, meanwhile, was given to both groups. The total treatment period of prednisone was prolonged by 12-18 months. Results: After following up for 3-7 years, the re-relapse rates of both groups were observed. The re-relapse rate of the treatment group was 28.2% to 29.3% in the CTX-controlled group. The re-relapse rates between two groups were almost similar, and with no observed significant difference (P>0.05). The side effect of tripterysium glucosides was less than that of CTX. Conclusion: For the treatment of relapsing nephritic syndrome in children, the combination of tripterysium glucosides and prolonged corticosteroid therapy is as effective as the regimen of CTX plus prolonged use of prednisone.  相似文献

Lignocellulosic biomass, being treated only with ammonia, treated with ammonia and then autoclaved, and treated with white-rot fungi after being mechanically chipped, were carried out to access the effects of lignocellulose degradation by white-rot fungi cultured on rapeseed straw. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic analysis was used to show that the white-rot fungus Bjerkandera sp. strain increase the susceptibility of straw to enzymatic saccharification by modifying the lignin component, revealing the effect of these pretreatments on enzymatic saccharification. Reducing sugar production from straws pretreated by ammonia/mechanical chipping/fungi degradation was 29.80? higher than the samples treated with ammonia/autoclaving, indicating an effective degradation of phenolic compounds. After ammonia pretreatment 41? of the straw was converted to RS(reducing sugars) (glucose 50?). After 5 weeks pretreatment with the white-rot fungus, 54.8? of rapeseed straw was further converted to RS, 74? of which was glucose; while only 12? of the control straw was converted (glucose 42?). The white-rot fungus Bjerkandera sp. strain degraded rapeseed straw preferentially at the early stage (before 20 d), and the degradation selectivity was 0.181 1 (cellulose), 0.364 1 (hemicellulose), and 0.454 8 (lignin), suggesting that removal of the phenolic barriers enhanced reducing sugar yield, and the efficiency of fungal pretreatment was comparable with that after alkali treatment, resulting a higher proportion of glucose in the hydrolysates.  相似文献

Effect of high intensity ultrasound on the allergenicity of shrimp   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
The tropomyosin fraction of shrimp proteins is potentially responsible for allergic reaction in individuals with genetic predisposition to allergy. However, there are no efficient and safe methods to reduce its allergenicity. High intensity ultrasound is known to change the structure of proteins. This study is aimed at assessing high intensity ultmsound's effect on the allergenicity of shrimp allergen. Shrimp and purified shrimp allergen were treated with high intensity ultrasound for 30-180 min. Extracts of treated samples were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) with pool serum of shrimp allergy patients and polyclonal anti-allergen antibodies and by immunoblotting after polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Shrimp treated with high intensity ultrasound showed a decrease in allergenicity measured with ELISA. A linear relationship between the immune response induced by treated shrimp allergen and the applied treatment time was observed. The decrease in allergenicity was confirmed by immunoblot assays with shrimp allergic patients serum. Allergenicity of shrimp allergen extracted from treated shrimp was higher than that of purified shrimp allergen with the same treatment time. Gel-filtration HPLC was applied for analysis of shrimp allergen after treatment with high intensity ultrasound. Some fractions were appeared with increasing treatment time. The results suggested that high intensity ultrasound could be used to reduce the allergenicity of shrimp.  相似文献

The effect of vermicomposting on kinetic behavior of the products is not well recognized. An incubation study was conducted to investigate C mineralization kinetics of cow manure, sugarcane filter cake and their vermicomposts. Two different soils were treated with the four solid wastes at a rate of 0.5 g solid waste C per kg soil with three replications. Soils were incubated for 56 d. The CO2-C respired was monitored periodically and a first-order kinetic model was used to calculate the kinetic pa-rameters of C mineralization. Results indicated that the percentage of C mineralized during the incubation period ranged from 31.9% to 41.8% and 55.9% to 73.4% in the calcareous and acidic soils, respectively. The potentially mineralizable C (C0) of the treated soils was lower in the solid waste composts compared to their starting materials. Overall, it can be concluded that de-composable fraction of solid wastes has decreased due to vermicomposting.  相似文献

Objective: To investigate the anti-tumor efficacy of dendritic cell (DC)-based vaccines pulsed with tumor extracts or RNA in a mouse model of intracranial G422 glioblastoma. Methods: Bone marrow-derived DCs were pulsed ex vivo with tumor extracts or RNA. Ninety female mice harboring 4-day-old intracranial G422 glioblastomas and 126 normal mice were treated with three spaced one week apart subcutaneous injections either with PBS, unpulsed DCs, G422 tumor extracts, RNA, DCs pulsed with G422 tumor extracts (DC/extract) or with RNA (DC/RNA). Seven days after the third immunization of normal mice, the spleens of 36 of them were harvested for cytotoxic T lyphocyte (CTL) assays and the others were challenged in the brain with G422 tumor cells. All the treated mice were followed for survival. Some mice brains were removed and examined pathologically when they died. Thermal fatigue checking is general failure of hot work die steels,which is relative with the structures and properties of the steels and the stress alternated during the employment.The Uddeholm test method on thermal fatigue is used to compare the behaviors of different samples,which are treated with plasma nitriding 、plasma sulfur-carbon-nitriding、boronizing or not treated.The results show that the nitriding improves the thermal fatigue property of the tool steel,while the plasma sulfur-carbon-nitriding and the boronizing impair the property.The mechanisms are induced as follows .By increasing the hardness and changing the stress distribution in the surface layer,surface treatment can decrease the plastic deformation and the temsile stress during the cycling.Therefore,the generation and growth of the cracks are restrained.On the other hand,as results of surface treating,in the surface layer the toughness declines and the expanding coefficient ascendes;the latter change caused the strengthening of the tensile and compressive stress during the cycling.Thus the resistance to thermal fatigue is weakened.Whether or not the surface treatment is favor to thermal fatigue of tool steels relies on which factor is dominant.  相似文献

Objective:To investigate the relationship between renal function and clinical outcomes among patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (ASTEMI), who were treated with emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods: 420 patients hospitalized in Peking University First Hospital, diagnosed with ASTEMI treated with emergency (PCI) from January 2001 to June 2011 were enrolled in this study. Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was used as a measure of renal function. We compared the clinical parameters and outcomes between ASTEMI patients combined renal insufficiency and the patients with normal renal function. Results:There was a significant increase in the concentrations of fibrinogen and D-Dimer (P<0.05) and a much higher morbidity of diabetes mellitus in the group of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD; eGFR<60 ml/(min·1.73 m2)) (P<0.01). CKD (eGFR<60 ml/(min·1.73 m2)) was an independent predictor of in-hospital mortality for patients hospitalized with ASTEMI receiving PCI therapy rapidly (P=0.032, odds ratio (OR) 4.159, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.127-15.346). Conclusions:Renal insufficiency is an independent predictor of in-hospital mortality for patients hospitalized with ASTEMI treated with primary PCI.  相似文献

Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms) is a prolific free floating aquatic macrohpyte found in tropical and subtropical parts of the earth. The effects of pollutants from textile wastewater on the anatomy of the plant were studied. Water hyacinth exhibits hydrophytic adaptations which include reduced epidermis cells lacking cuticle in most cases, presence of large air spaces (7~50 μm), reduced vascular tissue and absorbing structures. Textile waste significantly affected the size of root cells.The presence of raphide crystals was noted in parenchyma cells of various organs in treated plants.  相似文献

In this study,we examined the protective effects of Danshen both on endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs) in patients with hypercholesterolemia and on in-vitro EPCs of healthy volunteers.In the clinical study,we randomly divided 24 subjects with hypercholesterolemia into two groups(the control group and the Danshen-treated group).At the end of two weeks of treatment,the EPC cellular functions of both groups were tested.The results indicated that,compared to the control group,EPCs in the Danshen-treated group showed significantly better cellular functions,which was manifested in the cloning number,the proliferation capacity,the number of EPC adhesions,and cell migration.In the subsequent in-vitro experiments,EPCs were treated with vehicle,oxidized low-density lipoprotein(Ox-LDL,100 μg/ml),or Ox-LDL(100 μg/ml) plus different concentrations of Danshen(Danshensu 2,10,or 50 μg/ml,respectively) for 24 h.The results showed that Danshen treatments can prevent the detrimental effects of Ox-LDL on EPC cellular functions measured by proliferation capacity(0.24±0.08,0.37±0.11,0.30±0.04 vs.0.13±0.02,P0.05,P0.01,and P0.01,respectively),and adhesion ability(63.00±11.60,70.00±10.80,85.50±11.41 vs.40.50±6.85,all P0.01).Compared to the group treated with Ox-LDL alone,Danshen treatment significantly decreased the lipid peroxidation end product malondialdehyde(MDA) [(4.34±0.54),(3.98±0.47),(3.46±0.31) vs.(5.57±0.64) nmol/ml,all P0.01],increased the production of superoxide dismutase(SOD) [(29.74±0.71),(31.09±0.83),(30.41±0.65) vs.(14.76±3.99) U/ml,all P0.01],and lowered the expression of interleukin-6(IL-6) [(24.62±7.69),(27.04±3.14),(33.38±18.86) vs.(230.67±33.53) pg/ml,all P0.01] and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) [(41.72±6.10),(17.02±6.82),(3.73±2.26) vs.(228.71±41.53) pg/ml,all P0.01] in Ox-LDL treated EPCs.These results suggest that Danshen may exert a protective effect through its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory features.  相似文献

Objective:To evaluate the effect of chitosan(CH) and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) seed coatings and seedling sprinklings on two different maize varieties by measuring their phenology,the H2O2 presence,the catalase(CAT) activity,and the protein quantity.Methods:Seven groups of ten seeds for each maize variety were treated with CH(2%(20 g/L) and 0.2%(2 g/L)) or H2O2(8 mmol/L) by coating,sprinkling,or both.Germination and seedling growth were measured.One month after germination,the presence of H2O2 in seedlings in the coated seed treatments was evaluated.Protein content and CAT activity were determined under all treatments.Results:H2O2 seed coating enhanced the germination rate and increased seedling and stem length in the quality protein maize(QPM) variety.Seedlings had a higher emergence velocity under this treatment in both varieties.CH and H2O2 sprinklings did not have an effect on seedling phenology.Exogenous application of H2O2 promoted an increase of endogenous H2O2.CH and H2O2 seedling sprinkling increased the protein content in both maize varieties,while there was no significant effect on the CAT activity of treated seeds and seedlings.Conclusions:CH and H2O2 enhance some phenological and biochemical features of maize depending on their method of application.  相似文献

The shapes and geometrical parameters of nozzles are key factors for fluidics. The relationship among the reaction thrust, flow rate pressure, diameter do and length L of a cylinder nozzle is analyzed theoretically. The simulation of the flow field characteristics was conducted via the FLUENT computational fluid dynamics package. Effects of the inlet conditions and the nozzle dimensions on the reaction thrust of a water jet were addressed particularly. The reaction thrust experiments were performed on a custom-designed test apparatus. The experimental results reveal that a) the nozzle diameter and the inlet conditions exert great influence on the water jet reaction thrust; and b) for L≤4d0, where the nozzle is treated as a thin plate-orifice, the reaction thrust is independent of nozzle length; for L〉4d0, where the nozzle is treated as a long orifice, the reaction thrust can reach maximum under the condition of a certain flow rate. These findings lay a theoretical foundation for the design of nozzles and have significant value, especially for the future development of high-oressure water-let orooulsion technology.  相似文献

To determine the motion of a charged particle in a magnetic field produced by a current flowing along a long column conductor, the equation of the motion was established on the basis of Lorentz force. Qualitative analysis and quantitative solutions demonstrated that the motion contains nonlinear oscillation. The oscillation can be treated as the perturbation of the helical motion, Which the particle undergoes in a special condition. The general motion is superposition of two helixes, one as an axis spiraled by another. It is proven that the oscillation is stable.  相似文献
