Yuanmingyuan, known in China as the garden of perfect brightness, is located in the western suburb of Beijing where there is rich water resources and green mountains and hills. During the reign of Qing Emperor Kangxi [1661-1722], the Everlasting Spring Garden was built on ruins of a Ming Dynasty garden and completed in 1690. The garden served as a summer palace where the emperor escaped the summer heat and handled court affairs.  相似文献

Chinese print can date back 1100 years. For example, carved bricks and stones in the Han Dynasty are actually ear, forms of woodprint. As a type of print art, wood board printing invented in the Tang Dynasty was closely related to life of ordinary people and helped to spread arts in ancient China. Buddhist sutra Vajracchedika printed in 868 AD is the important evidence testifying to the wood board printing of the Tang Dynasty and the world's earliest complete printed book still preserved today. "Birds Perching at Winter Sweet" is an exquisite embroidery work, The work features a vigorous and straight trunk of the winter sweet, shone by plum blossoms and with a pair of birds perching at the branches. The embroidered work was based on one of the ink paintings by Emperor Huizong of the Northern Song Dynasty [960-1127] which is now collected in the Palace Museum in Taipei. In the late 19^th century after Shanghai was forced to open to Western colonists, the Bund became the site of some of the earliest foreign settlements and now is known as one of the most recognizable architectural symbols of Shanghai. Cultural Origins
Huaiyang is known as the seat of capital founded by Fu Xi, a legendary emperor in pre-history China. It is said that the head bones of Fu Xi are buried here. His mausoleum is now called "Temple of Human Ancestor". A popular legend is widespread among local people that Fu Xi and Nu Wa (a legendary goddess) got married and created human beings with clay.
