禅宗是中国佛教中最大也最具民族特色的一个派别。它虽然尊来华传法的西天二十八祖达摩为初祖,但实际上,禅宗真正的创立者应是唐代的慧能。慧能的高徒有南岳怀让、青原行思、荷泽神会、南阳慧忠。不过四人中只有南岳、青原二家弘传最盛。南岳下数传形成伪仰、临济二宗,青原下数传分为曹洞、云门、法眼三宗,这五宗因同属禅宗,故世称“一花五叶”。在此“五叶”中,又只有临济、曹洞二宗流传最久最广,因此可以说,中国禅宗的代表派别就是临济宗和曹洞宗两家。追溯禅宗五派的创立,它们均与闽人有密不可分的关系。其代表宗派临济、曹洞的… 相似文献

禅宗的思想主张对中国文化产生了深远影响。本文拟就唐代禅宗对近古中国的思想解放潮流之影响谈几点粗浅的意见。 一 禅宗是佛教中国化的产物。它因主张以禅定概括佛教全部习修而得名。印度佛教只有禅,而没有掸宗。“禅”是梵文“禅那”(Dhyāna)的略称,意译为“静虑”、“思维修”,是印度各教派普遍采用的一种习修方式,在佛教中尤具有特殊的意义。禅宗以不立文字,以心传心的“教外别传”相标尚,据说这可以上溯到释加牟尼的“拈花示众”。据载:“世尊在灵山会上,拈花示众。是时,众皆默然,唯迦叶尊者破颜微笑。世尊曰:‘吾有正法眼藏,涅采妙心,实相无相,微妙法门,不立文字,教外别传,付嘱摩诃迦叶。’”此后,从摩诃迦叶起,传释迦牟尼“正法眼藏”,以心传心,传承不断。及至菩提 相似文献

阿难与大迦叶,同为佛陀生前指定的传法之人。因性格与对佛法理解的差异,二人每每引起矛盾与冲突,其结果往往是以阿难的退让妥协而告终。总括来说,两人之间较大的冲突主要有四次：（1）发生在佛陀生前,起因于佛让大迦叶为弟子们说法,大迦叶由此迁怒于阿难;（2）佛陀涅榘后,大迦叶列举阿难危害佛教之“九突吉罗罪”,试图将其开除出第一次结集大会,但没有成功;（3）大迦叶借弟子还俗之事,讥讽阿难,使之难堪;（4）阿难询问大迦叶有关佛陀传法之事,遭到大迦叶的呛白。上述冲突虽事关佛教发展的方向,但并非你死我活之争,所以,最终大迦叶还是将法传给了阿难。 相似文献
