翻译理论在20世纪有了很大的发展,直译、意译两个概念在后现代语境下演变为归化和异化。一般认为直译和意译关注语言学层面的翻译问题,而在发生翻译文化转向的今天,归化和异化则主要关注在不同文化背景下的翻译问题,也就是说,直译和意译是翻译方法,而归化、异化是翻译策略。从中西历史上几次大的直译、意译之争以及学者们归化和异化的定义看,从直译、意译到归化、异化转变具有重要意义。在国际文化交流频繁的大背景下,翻译实践应该合理地处理四者之间的关系,促进翻译事业的发展。 相似文献

长期以来,翻译界一直把归化和异化这两种翻译方法看作是对立体,对二者的争论伴随着翻译理论和实践的发展而持续不断。本文通过分析归化和异化的概念,以及一直以来关于争论归化、异化与直译、意译之间的关系,对归化和异化各自的优缺点进行探讨。在此基础上,阐述译者在语言层面应采取归化的翻译策略,在文化层面应采取异化的翻译策略思想。最后指出归化与异化并不是对立关系,而是互补关系。 相似文献
