金钱与爱情
[1] When the Romantic Movement was still in its first fervor, it was a I common matter of debate whether people should marry for love or for money. The young people concerned usually favored love, and their parents usually favored money. In the novels of the period the dilemma was felicitously solved by the discovery, on the last page, that the  相似文献

With the development of cross-cultural mass media,it seems clear that only with cross-cultural communicative skills can people fit themselves well for their jobs in today’s society. As a media professional,he or she is a receiver of a large amount of media data domestic and abroad, and on the other hand,he or she is also a participator and a creator of media communication products. Therefore,it would be more urgent to enhance the cross-cultural competence of media talents so that they are able to qualify for cross-cultural communicators. The study of ethnic stereotypes,a perceptional factor in intercultural communication, may throw lights on fostering cross-cultural communicative competence for media majors.  相似文献

Qu Xin-ling, a small county magistrate in the Tang Dynasty, because he applied a policy of benevolence to his people, loved his people deeply and particularly sympathized with the solitary, was remembered by his people by building the mausoleum, setting up the ancestral hall and erecting the monument for him after he deceased, the moving memorial ceremony was held year after year when the old men in the villages rushed to offer wine to him, the common people there, no matter young or old, all weeped for him while burning joss sticks in a long line. This article widely searches his documents and materials, picks up the rare historical relics of him and combs his native place, scholarly honor, official career, very popular morality and achievement and people’s praising and cherishing him over a thousand years one by one, and thinks this is “a precious legacy” that is worth summarizing and inheritting, it is also greatly helpful for purifying the society of today, encouraging those who are in power working loyally for their people.  相似文献

The access to a vast array of resources is facilitated by the Internet, which, in its turn, does not promote learning by itself as children and young people often use it passively. As a consequence, the teachers' role is regarded essential so that they are helped to interpret and analyze available information critically. Nowadays, when referring to the web and its importance in the teaching and learning process, people no longer think of read-only contents, but in the supporting infrastructure which allows to create and share contents and a space for collaboration, discussion and ideas associated to the concept Web 2.0. The blog, as a means to deploy the concept "on-line interaction" is, according to Granieri, "The most accessible and natural tool for sharing and publishing, in addition to text, images movies and also sound, will be increasingly disseminated, because of increasing speed of data transmission" (2006, p. 31). It is therefore natural that the use of the blog is more and more frequent as a resource, pedagogical strategy or other capacities at all levels of teaching (Gomes, 2005). Taking advantage of the blog educationally is a recurrent approach in Portugal in recent years. Some work in this area is being closely supervised. The method takes into account the complex thinking model (Jonassen, 1996), more or less explicitly, and is carried out by children and young people in elementary schools. In this paper, a case study is presented based on some blogs, focusing on: the methodology for collection of text and multimedia materials; treatment and analysis of data with the NVivo software; findings and further evolution perspectives.  相似文献

I When you were at secondary school, was there a careers adviser? Did he or she tell you that if you worked hard you could do any job you wanted once you left school or university? That's what happens a lot in the UK, but many young people in Britain today are finding the reality of working life very different to the promise the careers adviser gave them.  相似文献

A young teacher learns that "experience" is woven out of haunting memoriesWhy did the memory of that dead child seek me out on this beautiful day?Till then, no intimation of sorrow had come to me through the dazzling revelations of a summer that sang.It happened many years ago. I had just arrived in a small village in Manitoba, Canada, to finish the school year as replacement for a teacher who had fallen ill or simply, for all I knew, become discouraged.  相似文献

Wall deposition occurs in spray dryers when dried or partially dried particles contact and adhere to the walls during operation, thus reducing the yield of product collected. Wall deposits also present a product contamination risk and a fire or explosion risk when spray drying products that oxidize exothermically, such as milk powder. Re-entrainment is the resuspension of spray dryer wall deposits into the main gas stream for collection as product. Literature suggests that the process for re-entrainment of particles from spray dryer wall deposits is strongly dependent on particle size and gas velocity.  相似文献

Objective: To assess the associations between body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), and cardiometabolic risk factors in young and middle-aged Chinese women. Methods: A total of 3011 women (1938 young women, 1073 middle-aged women), who visited our health care center for a related health checkup, were eligible for study. BMI and WC were measured. The subjects were divided into normal and overweight/obesity groups based on BMI, and normal and abdominal obesity groups based on WC. Cardiometabolic variables included triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), fasting blood glucose (FBG), homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), and blood pressure (BP). Results: The prevalence of overweight/obesity was significantly higher in middle-aged women (32.4%) than in young women (12.0%). The prevalence of abdominal obesity was also higher in middle-aged women (60.3%) than in young women (36.2%). There were significant differences in the comparison of all related cardiometabolic variables between different BMI (or WC) categories in young and middle- aged women groups, respectively. After adjustment for age, partial correlation analysis indicated that both BMI and WC were correlated significantly with all related cardiometabolic variables. After adjustment for age and WC, although the correlation coefficient r′was attenuated, BMI was still correlated significantly with all related cardiometabolic variables in young and middle-aged women. After adjustment for age and BMI, partial correlation analysis showed that WC was correlated significantly with TG, FBG, HOMA-IR, and HDL-C in young women and significantly with TG, HOMA-IR, and HDL-C in middle-aged women. Conclusions: The prevalence of overweight/obesity and abdominal obesity was high in Chinese young and middle-aged women. BMI was a better predictor of cardiovascular disease and diabetes than WC in young and middle-aged women, and moreover, measurement of both WC and BMI may be a better predictor of cardiovascular disease and diabetes mellitus than BMI or WC alone.  相似文献

放松(英文)
What does it mean to relax? Despite hearing this term thousands of times during the course of our lives, very few people have deeply considered what it's really about. When you ask people (which I have done many times) what it means to relax, most will answer in a way that suggests that relaxing is something you plan to do later—you do it on vacation,in a hammock(吊床),when you retire,or when you get everything done. This implies,of course, that most other times (the other 95 percent of your life) should be spent nervous,agi-  相似文献

In the past, the Ainu people of Japan and eastern Russia used to celebrate the bear festival, in which the sacrifice of a bear is involved. The festival takes place in September or October, but the preparation for it starts about three years prior to that.Preparation begins with the capturing of a bear cub. It is raised in the village amongst children, sometimes suckled by women. When it has grown big enough to hurt people, it is transferred to a strong cage.  相似文献

Hydrogen is starting to be mentioned as an alternative fuel to replace the fossil fuel in future transportation applications due to its characteristics of zero greenhouse gas emission and high energy effi- ciency. Before hydrogen fuel and its facilities can be introduced to the public, relevant safety issues and its hazards must be assessed in order to avoid any chance of injury or loss. While a traditional risk assessment has difficulty in prioritizing the risk of failure modes, this paper proposes a new fuzzy-based risk evaluation tech- nique which uses fuzzy value to prioritize the risk of various scenarios. In this study, the final risk of each failure modes was prioritized by using the MATLAB fuzzy logic tool box with a combination of two assess- ments. The first assessment was concerned with the criteria which affected the actual probability of occurrence. This assessment considered the availability of the standard that was applied to prevent the likelihood of the scenario occurring. On the other hand, the second assessment was focused on evaluating the consequence of the failure by taking into account the availability of detection and the complexity of the failure rather than only the severity of the scenarios. A total of 87 failure scenarios were identified using failure modes and effect analysis (FMEA) procedures on hydrogen refueling station models. Fuzzy-based assessments were performed through risk prioritizing various failure scenarios with a fuzzy value (0 to 1) and risk level (low, medium, and high) while a traditional risk assessment approach presented the risks only in forms of level (low, medium, and/or high). Availability of the fuzzy value enabled further prioritizing on the risk results that fell in the same level of risk. This study concluded that fuzzy-based risk evaluation is able to further prioritize the decisions when compared with a traditional risk assessment method.  相似文献

They have always complained(抱怨), more or less justly, that their parents areout of touch with modern ways, that they do not trust their children to deal with difficulties, that they talk too much about certain problems and that they have no sense of humor, at least in parents-children relationships.  相似文献
