大学生社会参与有政治、经济、文化参与三个维度。大学生领导力包括构建愿景、战略决策、工作实践、人格影响和人际交往五个维度的领导能力。编制大学生领导力和社会参与问卷,向广州市域内的5所全日制本科高校随机抽取大学生发放问卷开展调查,回收有效问卷550份。结果显示:大学生领导力与社会参与呈显著相关,社会参与是大学生领导力提升的重要因素;对"社会参与"贡献较大的是"文化参与"和"政治参与"维度,对"大学生领导力"贡献较大的维度依次为"工作实践>战略决策>构建愿景>人际交往>人格影响";职业教育的社会性和文科专业课程知识的社会性对大学生社会参与影响较大。当前大学生领导力教育的侧重当是指导学生积极投身文化和政治两方面的社会实践。  相似文献

校长作为学校的最高负责人,其领导力水平的高低直接影响着学校组织目标的实现程度。领导力是校长综合素质的体现,校长依靠自己的职权、知识、能力和个人魅力,引导着学校的发展,具有教育性、引领示范性和多重性特点。根据工作内容和领域的不同,校长领导力可划分为行政领导力和教学领导力。其中,教学领导力是校长领导力的核心,行政领导力为教学领导力的发挥提供支持性的环境。欲提升校长的领导力,应该进一步明确校长角色定位,加强校长培训,改善校长领导环境。  相似文献

在组织管理中,价值领导力是一种核心领导力,是运用价值领导艺术解决管理实践中的问题、调控组织或个人行为、实现组织目标的能力。它是区别于行政领导力(运用政治手段)和经济领导力(运用经济手段)的一种新型领导能力,也称"文化领导力"。教育本身意味着价值传承、价值引导和价值教化,是关系到价值使命的事业。"培养什么样的人"的问题,最关键的是形成什么样的价值观问题,当前青少年发展中存在的最大问题也是价值观问题。社会转型期出现的价值混乱、价值断裂和价值冲突迫切要求校长形成和提高价值领导力;传统学校管理活动中价值领导和价值教育的不足也要求不断地强化价值领导力。  相似文献

美国学者曾将校长的教学领导力初步界定为“明确教学使命”“管理课程与教学”和“创设学校风气”三个方面。我国学者研究指出:校长的教学领导力是校长根据一定的教育理念,围绕办学目标,借助行政能力和非行政因素,直接或间接主导、影响学校的整体教学的行为和历程。校长领导教学的目标是提高教师的教学效能,增强学生的学习效能,提升学校发展的整体效能。因此,校长的教学领导力不能简单等同于校长的教学行政管理力,而是一种影响力和综合力。综上所述,可将校长的教学领导力大致概括为:校长在科学的教学思想指导下,结合教学目标,决策、组织、调控学校教学工作的活动和过程,促进学生和教师的发展,进而推动学校发展的能力和素养。  相似文献

校长教学领导力是校长的核心能力。采用量化和质性研究相结合的方法,构建我国校长教学领导力模型,包括四类教学领导行为、八个情境因素及其作用。指导教学组织、策划教学活动、提供教学条件三个层面的行为,是由内而外、层层相联的,监控教学情况贯串于前三种行为之中。八个情境因素包括学校因素和教育管理体制方面的因素。校长教学领导力行为越靠近核心部位,越会受到学校情境因素的影响。  相似文献

This continuous research within Nordic engineering institutions targets the contexts and possibilities for leadership among engineering education program directors. The IFP-model, developed based on analysis of interviews with program leaders in these institutions, visualizes the program director’s informal and formal power. The model is presented as a tool for starting a shared discussion on the complexities of the leadership of engineering program development. The authors liken program development to hunting in teams. Each individual expert in the program is needed, and all experts will need to work and collaborate for the same target. This calls for strategic and long-term thinking of engineering education development. Institutions should support the development of both formal structures as well as informal leadership skills among their program directors, but never fall for the temptation to see the program director as the only actor on the stage.  相似文献

This study provides a new conceptualization of educational leadership with a multilevel and integrative approach. It examines the impact of multilevel leadership (MLL) on the effectiveness of technical educational institutes through the mediating effects of organizational communication, bases of power and organizational culture. Data were collected from 153 heads of engineering and management institutes across India along with 306 subordinates working in coordination with the heads of the institutes. The subordinates assessed leadership and organizational communication and the leader assessed the remaining constructs. An inventory is developed and validated to assess MLL. The MLL directly predicts organizational effectiveness (OE). Organizational communication, use of personal power and organizational culture mediate the effects of leadership on OE. Multilevel leaders can promote organizational communication, use of personal power and organizational culture for higher effectiveness of technical educational institutions.  相似文献

Effective school leadership is a vital component of successful educational organizations, and the increasing complexity of schools requires leaders to employ contingent skills and contextualized approaches. We examined administrative approaches and challenges at an educational center of a juvenile detention facility in Abu Dhabi. Qualitative data for analysis were collected through interviews from administrators, a social worker, and teachers. Specific challenges encountered by the leaders of the juvenile center included support and communication issues with parents, discontinuity in juvenile students’ education, organizational and systemic problems, policy constraints, managerial pitfalls following early releases, curriculum suitability and delivery issues, problems involving follow-up and progress management of students, and difficulties regarding the general motivation and rehabilitation of juvenile students. The findings illustrated the significance of leaders’ roles in juvenile education and the staff relationships that influenced the fulfillment of leaders’ roles.  相似文献

Research on educational leadership emphasizes the importance of having institutional leaders heavily involved with advanced instructional programming. Best practices for developing educational leadership in higher education health care and medical faculties have to be better understood. Within the framework of a seminar series, researchers and practitioners were involved in a dialogical process of inquiry, coupled with an explicit activity-oriented approach emphasizing empowerment among educational leaders. In a reflective paper, 10 participants of the seminar series elaborated on what it meant to develop and to ‘take’ leadership in your professional role and which factors that were identified as adding value to the development of professional leadership expertise. Qualitative content analysis was conducted resulting in thirteen categories reported in relation to Wenger’s theory of communities of practice. The findings show that educational leadership involves processes on the levels of students, teachers as community and at the organizational level. The individuals created a place for backstage conversations at which they got opportunity to develop their thinking and inspiration to break new ideas into their own educational communities. In addition, a systemic approach is essential for the effective implementation of educational leadership to reach all levels via interaction and communication across an organization.  相似文献

The purpose of this phenomenological study was to capture first-hand accounts of K-12 educational leaders whose school districts were directly affected by the deadly 27 April 2011 tornadoes in rural Alabama, USA. This study was framed by the literature base of leadership; specifically crisis leadership and resilience theory. Findings are organised under the headings of crisis management, crisis leadership characteristics, post-crisis support and crisis preparation. In this study, educational leaders demonstrated resilience in the face of adversity and took decisive steps to rebuild not only their schools but also their communities as well. Additionally, leaders expressed the importance of sharing their stories with others so that the lessons they learned in response to the tornadoes would not soon be forgotten. The study concludes with reflections about crisis planning and implications for future research as well as a call to action to improve crisis management in K-12 educational settings.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a secular educational franchise, educating the globally advantaged and potential future leaders. Drawing on Bourdieu, this article involves original interpretivist research, reviewing data surrounding the international IB school and its educational leadership. It presents findings pertinent to the remarkable pervasiveness of Christianity and Christian values in the orientation of IB directors in a Western European context.

IB directors foreground Christianity in their make-up. In the fluid global market-place of IB schools, consistency is rare, and highly valued. Through Bourdieu, IB directors emerge as islands, with relative freedom from the State. They lead a secular school, with an implicit Christian orientation. The IB purposefully pluralises the culture of the IB experience through the IB learner Profile (IBLP). In the main, IB school leadership rejects the operational consistency of the IBLP and embraces pluralism through the consistency of Christianity.

The international school is an incubator for Anglo Christian values providing cultural laundering, ontologically tied to the imperial gaze in this globalised neo-liberal schooling context: the international gaze.  相似文献
