长期以来,本校学报编辑部与外校学报编辑部交换的高校学报资料上千种,大多数高校得以利用也仅限于编辑部工作人员自己,未能走出学报编辑部;有一部分高校,其能被图书馆利用,面向全校师生,也存在这样或那样的不足.本文就地方高校图书馆对学报编辑部学报资源利用的意义、存在的问题及对策试作思考. 相似文献

高校学报青年编辑产生职业倦怠的原因是复杂的、多维的,其中既有青年编辑个人素质方面的原因,如知识与经验储备不足等;也有编辑职业特点方面的原因,如周而复始的机械重复、复杂的人际关系等;还有高校学报编辑部与学校管理制度的影响。为此,高校学报青年编辑应加强对编辑业务的学习,认真探求高校学报编辑出版工作规律,注意正确处理好与作者、编者、审者、读者等各类人员的关系;同时,学校和学报编辑部要对青年编辑在其工作、学习和生活上给予关注、关心与关怀,为青年编辑发展创造良好的工作、学习和生活环境,积极防止或干预职业倦怠现象的产生,从而提高工作效率。 相似文献

高校学报是反映高校教学和科研面貌的窗口。作为当今社会一种重要的信息载体,学报自身的学术价值已日益为人们所重视。但关于高校学报编辑部资料室的性质、任务,关于高校学报资料室的建设问题乃至高校学报有无必要建立资料室等诸多问题的研讨,尚不够深入。我们认为,高校学报编辑部资料室既是学报编辑部的一个不可缺少的组成部分,又是高校图书馆(确切地说是高校整个文献情报系统)的重要组成部分。它的建设不仅关系到学报编辑部的工作,而且对于整个学校教学和科研工作的开展也将产生不可低估的作用。 相似文献

Since Grossman’s seminal paper in 1972, there have been a number of studies concerning the effect of education on health and health care demand. Though several studies have distinguished between preventive and curative care, no study has investigated the effects of general education on the utilization of unnecessary emergency department use. We test whether general education reduces “potentially unnecessary” emergency department utilization and provide a measure of the resulting private benefits associated with increased education. Our results partially confirm our hypothesis regarding “potentially unnecessary” emergency department use. We find that moving from a high school to greater than high school education appears to reduce “potentially unnecessary” emergency department use, with the impact being greater among the insured. However, though reducing the education level from high school to less than high school increases “potentially unnecessary” emergency department use among the insured as predicted, it has the opposite impact on the uninsured. 相似文献

Abstract The head of department occupies a key institutional position yet the role is a complex and demanding one which is subject to pressures, conflicts and uncertainties. This paper examines aspects of the role of the head of department through the proceedings of a day conference for heads of department at one university. It highlights issues and concerns, and analyses them in terms of the cultural and organisational characteristics of universities as institutions. The role and influence of department heads on women in academia is understudied and weakly conceptualized. This article expounds on prior work, which identified limitations of department head literature, to put forth three problematic discourses that run through much of the department head research: the discourse of fairness, the discourse of collective good, and the training imperative. The discourse of fairness encourages an unproblematized adoption of fairness as a core criterion, ignoring the ways fairness may be conceptualized to benefit some groups over others. The discourse of collective good encourages department heads to seek out resolutions that maximize the ‘good’ for the department and its constituents but may perpetuate gender biases. The training imperative discourse places a heavy emphasis on training, regardless of whether training is or is not an effective means to address gender inequalities. Implications and directions for future work and practices are discussed in closing. 相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to provide documentation of a one year Pilot Mentoring Program (PMP) that was implemented within a department at a school of education within a private university. PMP was tied to the culture and specific needs of the department. It included seven newly hired faculty members and their mentor who were from various programs within the department. Even though PMP evolved over the course of an academic year, and was labeled a formal mentoring program, it was restricted to a trial basis.
