为了克服排序学习算法不能处理包括名词性特征的复杂数据类型的局限性,设计一种新的排序学习算法.在决策树学习算法中,采用新的等级不纯度定义,修改决策树的分裂规则,得到具有直观解释的排序算法,并给出了相关理论基础.实验结果表明:排序树的平均等级损失明显优于感知机类算法和序回归类算法,且具有较快的收敛速度.基于决策树的排序学习算法,可以处理名词性数据和选择相关的特征.  相似文献

The logic of using a sequential decision-making approach using college grade point average (GPA) and test scores for teacher licensure decisions within the conjunctive decision-making model is discussed and contrasted with the compensatory model for decision making. The major issues to consider in choosing between the conjunctive and compensatory models are (a) whether there is a linear (or at least monotonically increasing) relationship between each predictor variable and the criterion variable and (b) whether an excess of one predictor variable can compensate for a deficiency in another variable. If linearity (monotonicity) and compensation are reasonable assumptions, the compensatory model is generally preferred. However, for nonlinear and noncompensatory situations, such as teacher licensure where the purpose is to set a cutoff score to represent minimal competence, not to predict the degree of success, the conjunctive model is more appropriate. Some have suggested using college GPA and licensure tests in a compensatory model for licensure decisions. However, given the lack of content validity of the GPA for the purpose of licensure, and given the lack of comparability of GPAs across institutions (and indeed within institutions), a compensatory model using test scores and college GPA seems inappropriate.  相似文献

Mean decision power (MDP) is an important criterion of a new reduction model, and relative decision power (RDP) and amount of rules (AR) are key parameters of MDP. This paper presents two important properties: relationship between RDP and AR, and relationship between MDP rule set of parent decision table and MDP rule set of child decision table. Multiple measures, such as multiple content domains or multiple types of performance, are used in various testing programs to classify examinees for screening or selection. Despite the popular usages of multiple measures, there is little research on classification consistency and accuracy of multiple measures. Accordingly, this study introduces an approach to estimate classification consistency and accuracy indices for multiple measures under four possible decision rules: (1) complementary, (2) conjunctive, (3) compensatory, and (4) pairwise combinations of the three. The current study uses the IRT-recursive-based approach with the simple-structure multidimensional IRT model (SS-MIRT) to estimate the classification consistency and accuracy for multiple measures. Theoretical formulations of the four decision rules with a binary decision (Pass/Fail) are presented. The estimation procedures are illustrated using an empirical data example based on SS-MIRT. In addition, this study applies the estimation procedures to the unidimensional IRT (UIRT) context, considering that UIRT is practically used more. This application shows that the proposed procedure of classification consistency and accuracy could be used with a UIRT model for individual measures as an alternative method of SS-MIRT.  相似文献

Rough set theory has proved to be a useful tool for rule induction. But, the theory based on indiscemibility relation or similarity relation cannot induce rules from decision tables with criteria. Greco et al have proposed a new rough set approach based on dominance relation to handle the problems. In this paper, the concept of dominance matrix is put forward and the dominance function is constructed to compute the minimal decision rules that are more general and applicable than the ones induced by the classical rough set theory. In addition,the methodology of simplification is presented to eliminate the redundancy in the rule set.  相似文献

States are increasingly using test scores as part of the requirements for high school graduation or certification. In these circumstances, a battery of tests or, with writing, analytic traits are considered that usually cover different aspects of the state's content standards. Because pass or fail decisions are made affecting students' futures, the validity of standard-setting procedures and strategies is a major concern. Policymakers and legislators must decide which of these 2 standard-setting strategies to use for making pass or fail decisions for students seeking certification or for meeting a high school graduation requirement. The compensatory strategy focuses on total performance, summing scores across all tests in the battery. The conjunctive strategy requires passing performance for each test in the battery. This article reviews and evaluates compensatory and conjunctive standard-setting strategies. The rationales for each type are presented and discussed. Results from a study comparing the compensatory and conjunctive strategies for a state high school certification writing test provide insight into the problem of choosing either strategy. This article concludes with a set of recommendations for those who must decide which type of standard-setting strategy to use.  相似文献

The effects of different schedule requirements at reinforcement on patterns of responding by pigeons were assessed under conjunctive schedules with comparable response-number requirements, Under one conjunctive schedule (conjunctive fixed-interval fixed-ratio schedule), a response was reinforced after a 6-min interval had elapsedand a specific minimum number of responses had been emitted, Under a second conjunctive schedule, a response was reinforced after the 6-min fixed interval and upon completion of a tandem schedule requirement (conjunctive fixed-interval tandem schedule), This schedule retained the same required minimum number of responses as the first conjunctive schedule, but responses were never reinforced according to a fixed-ratio schedule; the tandem schedule was comprised of a fixed-ratio and a small (.1 to 10.0 sec) fixed-interval schedule, Under the conjunctive fixed-interval fixed-ratio schedule, responding was characterized by an initial pause, an abrupt transition to a high response rate, and a second transition to a lower rate that prevailed or slightly increased up to reinforcement, Under the conjunctive fixed-interval tandem schedule, pauses were extended, response rates were lower, and the initial high rate of responding was generally absent, The above effects depended upon the size of the fixed interval of the tandem schedule, The distinct pattern of responding generated by conjunctive fixed-interval fixed-ratio schedules depends upon occasional reinforcement of fixed-ratio responding and not merely on the addition of a minimum number of required responses.  相似文献

为了获得认知无线电系统更高的频谱利用效率,基于最小总错误概率准则推导了软判决协作频谱感知最优判决门限的闭合表达式,并且分析了各种频谱感知参数对最优判决门限的影响.理论分析表明,所提出的最优门限可以获得虚警概率和漏检概率2种性能指标的折中.从仿真结果可以看出,平均信噪比和软判决方案对最优判决门限影响较大,而样本数量对最优的判决门限几乎无影响.对于MRC和MDC两种软判决方案,随着协作用户数量的增加,最优判决门限值随之增加并且趋近于某一极限值.而对于EGC软判决方案,协作用户数对其最优门限值影响很小.  相似文献

This article focuses on the development of decision‐making skills and environmental concern by 11‐ and 12‐year‐old students through computer‐based, scaffolded learning activities. The enacted activities provided necessary scientific information and allowed for the consideration of multiple aspects of the problem, the study of the effects of every possible solution and the formulation and balancing of criteria. The optimization strategy for decision making was adopted, because it allows for the development of compensatory thinking which is more relevant to actual situations of decision making. Twelve students participated in the pilot enactment of the proposed activities. Data collection relied on students’ reports and pre‐ and post‐ tests as well as a closed questionnaire designed to measure students’ environmental concern. The teaching intervention proved quite successful in enhancing the decision‐making skills of the participating children. Moreover, students’ performance on the environmental concern questionnaire correlated in interesting ways with the improvement of decision‐making skills.  相似文献
