Veterans are a unique population that can be found in libraries across the United States. Libraries of all types are developing new approaches to the veterans in their patron populations in the wake of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This study identifies several common strategies that libraries, especially public and academic libraries, are employing to support their patrons who are veterans, as well as distinctions in strategy according to library type. 运用《中国学术期刊综合引证报告》及《中国学术期刊全文数据库Web下载统计报告》的文献计量数据分析了期刊论文网上下载频次的年代分布和被引用频次的年代分布，对比了它们的峰值（百分数）和峰值与统计年的年限差，得到“去年发表的论文被下载多，前年发表的论文被引用多，当年发表的论文下载频次与被引频次的比值高”这一规律性认识。研究了文献的网上下载频次分布和被引用频次的分布，对比了它们的集中系数。鉴于文献网上下载指标的排序与被引用指标的排序并不完全一致，建议将它们都作为独立指标在综合评价中予以适当考虑。 相似文献

Governments and citizens alike are reaching maturity levels in their Internet adoption. With citizens using online channels for more and more purposes, governments around the world are moving to a ‘digital by default’ service delivery strategy. The question arises as to whether online channels are indeed suited for all purposes and are the “go-to” channels when citizens need information in a variety of situations. In this study, we compare data collected in 2008 and 2017 in the Netherlands to assess the evolution in channel behavior. The analysis suggests that channel preferences and general usage are indeed shifting towards online channels, whilst gaps in online usage between age groups are narrowing. However, the findings also show that this shift is not uniform across all tasks. For certain purposes, choices for traditional channels remain surprisingly resilient. The findings suggest that while online channels are maturing, they are still not ready to replace other existing channels for all types of services. Our findings call for continued attention to integrated channel strategies that incorporate the strengths of individual service channels. 相似文献

This study reviews the literature on the evaluation of bibliographic instruction in academic libraries from 1980 to 1993. Four main issues are discussed: (1) the reasons why librarians are evaluating, (2) to what degree they are evaluating, (3) what specific aspects they are evaluating, and (4) which methodologies are being used. Results indicate that, despite a growing interest in the evaluation of bibliographic instruction, the same pattern of limited systematic evaluation identified in 1980 continues to exist. Barriers to the successful implementation of evaluation, as well as possible directions for the future, are also presented. 相似文献
