基于CSSCI的文科学者H指数实证研究   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
从CSSCI中选取文学、历史学、哲学、法学、经济学和图书馆、情报与文献学6个文科学科学者2002-2006年的数据,计算出学者的被引次数C、被引篇数P、篇均被引次数CPP和h指数。分析表明被引次数C与h指数的相关性最大,计算表明对文学和历史学而言Gl nzel-Schubert公式的估计值更接近实际h指数,而其余学科的h指数大多数数据落在Hirsch公式和Egghe-Rousseau公式估计值之间。在所研究的6个文科领域中,Hirsch公式估计值与实际h指数的Pearson相关性较好。  相似文献

从Egghe-Rousseau模型和Glanzel-Schubert模型出发,推演出h指数与总被引次数C之间的幂函数关系模型(即h-C幂律关系模型),此模型与之前的实证结果相符。模型中幂指数最大值为0.5。Hirsch模型可视为本模型的幂指数取最大值时的特殊形式。本模型应用的关键是洛特卡系数α的取值或估计,h=C~(α/(α~2+1))是一种近似简化形式。  相似文献

h指数用于高发文、高引用的学者评价是有效的,但对低发文、高引用的学者进行评价存在缺陷,且数值易于雷同,不易区分。P指数在学者研究绩效评价方面具有同h指数相一致的维度,它不仅考虑学者的被引次数(c),而且考虑学者的研究质量指标——平均被引率(C/N)。以图书情报与文献学科领域49位专家为例,对比分析专家的发文量(N)、被引次数(c)、平均被引率、专家h指标、g指数、p指数,并进行相关性分析。结论:p指数优于现有的h指数、g指数,更具有评价的合理性,应在更大范围内进一步使用。  相似文献

在h指数启发下发现一个新的学术排序指数--f指数,该指数与学科相关,综合了数量与质量因素,普适于学科、国家、机构、期刊、学者多层面学术排序,其计算公式为:f=(100×HCP)/(P)×(100×C)/(TFC)=CPP×(HCP)/(TFC)×104≥0其中P,C,HCP分别为论文、引文和高引论文数,TFC是相关学科的总引文数,CPP=C/P是平均引文.22个学科、 18个国家、 18所大学、 10种期刊和10名学者的f指数被具体测算.实算数据表明f指数值处于 0~100之间,f≥1表征优秀.  相似文献

认为P指数在期刊绩效评价中体现了数量(被引次数C)与质量(平均被引率C/N)的平衡,应用P指数进行学术期刊评价是一种有益的探索。以法学期刊和教育学期刊为研究对象,对比分析P指数在不同学科期刊中与期刊载文量(N),被引次数(C),自被引率(SCR),5年影响因子(IF5)、期刊h指数、特征因子组合(EFS,AIS)等指标的差异,进行相关性分析,并得出以下结论:P指数简洁易计算,区分度好、支持动态变化排名、与多个关键评价指标相关性好,且在优秀学术期刊识别方面具有较好的可靠性,具有一定的现实应用前景。  相似文献

为更深刻地理解h指数的特性,收集了学者、期刊、研究机构、大学和国家5个层面共8组h指数以及论文被引指标数据,实证研究h指数与论文总被引C之间的关系.结果表明:h指数与论文总被引C之间具有形如h=Cb、幂指数b介于0.360到0.420之间的简单幂律关系,论文总被引C的增量对于h指数的增长具有规模效应递减的规律.  相似文献

以中国医学科学院73位从事临床科研的博士生导师为样本,分析不同学术年龄组在各学术影响力指标上的表现差异,并采用方差分析和相关性分析辅助优选指标。得到的优选指标包括发文量、总被引次数、篇均被引次数、h指数、A指数、g指数和累计影响因子,其中与“平均量”相关的篇均被引次数、A指数更适合于评价中国高水平学者的学术表现;而m熵指数不太适合于评价中国学者的国际影响力;中国科研人员的评价应该注意学术年龄这一因素。  相似文献

h指数自2005年被Jorge E. Hirsch提出后,因其具有计算简单和适用范围广等特点而引发了学术界的广泛关注。许多研究者在h指数的基础上,对h指数进行修正,并提出了多种衍生指数。为深入了解这些同源性衍生指数间的关系,评估它们在不同层次人才评价中的应用效果,选择15种主要类h指数,以2008-2011年SCIE收录的农业科学领域114 643篇论文为研究对象,采用探索性因子分析方法对15种指数进行相关性分析,结果表明在大数据情况下A指数和m指数与作者论文质量密切相关;g指数、hw指数和R指数能更好地评价高产高被引作者;hw指数和χ指数在评价高产低被引作者时效果较好;π指数、χ指数、m指数、A指数、hw指数、e指数对低产高被引作者评价效果较好。  相似文献

以SJR为数据来源,比较分析了1996-2008年巴西、印度、中国、韩国4个国家发表科技论文数量、可引用文献量、文献被引量、自引量、篇均被引量、去除自引后的篇均被引量、H指数、文献引用率、国际合作量等9个指标。中国发表论文数最多,2003年后每年增加约3万篇。巴西、韩国文献引用率、篇均引用量高,且自引率低;印度居中等水平;中国文献引用率、篇均引用率低且自引率高;国际合作度巴西最高、中国最低。可见中国的科技论文质量与其他3个国家相比,还有一定的差距。  相似文献

从ISI数据库获得的期刊h指数和从Scopus数据库获得的期刊h指数高度一致,而期刊h指数与期刊影响因子IF可以作为相互独立的期刊评价指标;用不同学科的篇均被引次数fm作为归一化因子对h指数进行归一化处理后所得的hf指数可用于对不同学科期刊进行直接比较,hf指数越大的期刊品质越优。  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To conduct a bibliometric evaluation of the Journal of Ayub Medical College (JAMC), Abbottabad, Pakistan. Methods: The data of articles, citations and authors of JAMC from 1997 to 2006 were collected and analysed in terms of bibliometric parameters. RESULTS: The number of articles published per year ranges between 27 and 97; most of the articles (47.2%) have 11-20 citations. Three-author contributions ranked the highest (134; 23.43%); the most prolific authors contributed seven articles; 295 (51.57%) of the authors are geographically affiliated to the North West Frontier Province (NWFP), Pakistan; the most popular subject is Internal Medicine; journal self-cited references are 43; 7769 (77.94%) of the citations were from foreign journals; the most productive institution is Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad, Pakistan. CONCLUSION: The number of papers published in JAMC per issue has been increasing over the last 10 years, and the core region is NWFP, Pakistan. Original articles are the main type of papers for this journal. The publication is open for all fields of medical sciences.  相似文献

Traditionally, the number of citations that a scholarly paper receives from other papers is used as the proxy of its scientific impact. Yet citations can come from domains outside the scientific community, and one such example is through patented technologies—paper can be cited by patents, achieving technological impact. While the scientific impact of papers has been extensively studied, the technological aspect remains less known in the literature. Here we aim to fill this gap by presenting a comparative study on how 919 thousand biomedical papers are cited by U.S. patents and by other papers over time. We observe a positive correlation between citations from patents and from papers, but there is little overlap between the two domains in either the most cited papers, or papers with the most delayed recognition. We also find that the two types of citations exhibit distinct temporal variations, with patent citations lagging behind paper citations for a median of 6 years for the majority of papers. Our work contributes to the understanding of the technological impact of papers.  相似文献

The process of assessing individual authors should rely upon a proper aggregation of reliable and valid papers’ quality metrics. Citations are merely one possible way to measure appreciation of publications. In this study we propose some new, SJR- and SNIP-based indicators, which not only take into account the broadly conceived popularity of a paper (manifested by the number of citations), but also other factors like its potential, or the quality of papers that cite a given publication. We explore the relation and correlation between different metrics and study how they affect the values of a real-valued generalized h-index calculated for 11 prominent scientometricians. We note that the h-index is a very unstable impact function, highly sensitive for applying input elements’ scaling. Our analysis is not only of theoretical significance: data scaling is often performed to normalize citations across disciplines. Uncontrolled application of this operation may lead to unfair and biased (toward some groups) decisions. This puts the validity of authors assessment and ranking using the h-index into question. Obviously, a good impact function to be used in practice should not be as much sensitive to changing input data as the analyzed one.  相似文献

In science-technology research, papers and patents are used to represent science and technology, respectively. Detecting sleeping beauty papers and their princes in technology (patent field) could uncover dynamic knowledge contributions from science (paper field) to technology (patent field). However, previous studies have mainly focused on sleeping beauty in science. Some studies have examined SB patents in technology, but SB papers in patents are rarely studied and need to be further discussed. In addition, knowledge could flow along citations. Thus, if one paper is cited by one patent's reference (indirect citation), it also contributes to the patent, even though the patent does not directly cite it. At the same time, indirect citations are rarely discussed in sleeping beauty studies. This could lead to a loss of significant information. Therefore, to reveal the dynamic knowledge contribution from science to technology considering indirect citations, this study proposed a new method of mining sleeping beauty papers in technology and their princes. The lithium-ion battery domain is selected as a case study. The findings are as follows: (1) Most papers do not contribute knowledge to technology continuously, even when considering indirect citations, and the time-varying knowledge contribution strength changes significantly overtime. (2) The knowledge contribution strength with a time delay of more than 11 years occupies 80% of the total knowledge contribution strength. It is suggested that the window period of paper publication evaluation be extended. (3) 22 sleeping beauty papers in technology are detected. Nine papers are among the top 10 regarding the total knowledge contribution strength. (4) The princes of 9 typical sleeping beauty papers in technology are all papers. This implies that the awakening of these papers in technology was all provoked by scientific development.  相似文献
