从本体的建立、本体间的映射以及语义互操作服务三个方面构建了本体驱动的数字图书馆异构信息资源语义互操作框架,将信息资源互操作和共享的问题转化为本体间的映射问题,从而将有效实现分布式数字图书馆之间异构信息资源的语义互操作。构建本体的最终目的是实现推理,利用文献的等级结构和定义的属性可以在转化的MARC上实现推导文献间关系的目标。本体映射是解决不同本体间的知识共享和重用问题的主要技术。完成本体映射后所构建的领域本体服务器是进行信息互操作与集成的核心,是提供语义互操作服务的基础。 相似文献

互操作性是数字图书馆项目建设面临的关键问题.文章以NSTL网络服务系统为例,针对资源类型多样化、服务组件切分不合理引发的互操作问题,提出标准与规范先行、资源建设的开放性、信息服务的整体性、体系结构的适用性和扩展性等四条建设原则,从统一标准规范、统一基础信息和规范组件接口三个方面介绍系统三期建设中互操作机制的设计与实现.最后指出解决数字图书馆领域的互操作问题一定要严格定义互操作的内容、层次,确定实现的范围与边界,这样才能真正具有可行性. 相似文献

因特网已成为全球性的信息环境，我们可以跨越时空获取信息资源。然而，当用户使用自身社区的术语和元数据方案来检索信息时，现在的因特网技术还没有成熟到能提供专业信息设施。元数据担任很重要的角色来帮助实现社区导向的信息环境。本文进行了两项案例研究，包括建立专业主题词表(用于图书馆和图书馆信息科学资源主题网关(LIS)的核心主题词表)和用于地方社区门户网站的主题词表。从这两个案例可以看出小型的主题词表对专业服务是非常有用的，并且维护工作对词表的建立和应用是至关紧要的。为了在网络上建立专业信息环境，我们必须解决对元数据方案来说相悖的两个需求——社区中的专业化(或者本地化)和社区之间的互操作。这篇文章提供了一个概念模型来理解解决这个问题所要涉及的诸多方面。 相似文献

Most studies of collection development mask inadequate theoretical underpinnings with facile assumptions and dazzling statistical manipulations. This essay, in moving toward a model for collection development within both specific collections and library systems as a whole, seeks to demonstrate the full range and complexity of relevant factors. An enlarged theoretical grasp should help highlight both the possibilities and the challenges of existing approaches. SUMMARY Ariel files are the starting point for electronic delivery of interlibrary loan articles through ILLiad, Virginia Tech's interlibrary loan system. Despite some advantages to electronic delivery of articles to their desktops, a large majority of ILL customers continue to prefer print on paper delivery rather than electronic delivery. This fact has implications for introducing additional electronic services. Correctly choosing what services to impose on library customers, and what services to offer as value-added options, is fundamental to maintaining the credibility of libraries during these times of rapid change. 相似文献

ABSTRACT The history of the almanac in Croatia is reconstructed through primary research in bibliographic and archival sources. The almanac is a vehicle for knowledge communication in informal contexts, engaging both oral tradition and literary forms traceable to medieval literacy and ways of structuring knowledge. The history of the almanac in Croatia reflects the changing context of the book trade, literacy, and the evolution of language. Four main stages are identified: (1) the beginning of the annual almanac in the seventeenth century; astrological almanacs reflecting the sensibility of the Baroque period; (2) the Enlightenment's stimulation of almanac publishing in the spirit of contemporary secular reforms in agriculture and education; (3) nineteenth-and twentieth-century almanac trade, showing complex and overlapping networks for the production, distribution and appropriation of printed almanacs;(4) roughly the end of World War II, when the almanac slowly moved out of the role of a popular mass medium and into specialized niches represented by regional, diaspora, and religious almanacs. 相似文献
