ABSTRACT The aims of this study were (a) to describe the kinematics underlying the phenomenon of the knee of the swing leg passing medially in front of the athlete during the single push (SP) phase of the block sprint start, and (b) to determine the relationships between block phase pelvis range of motion (RoM), 1st step width and block phase performance. Three-dimensional kinematic data (250 Hz) were collected from eleven competitive sprinters (100 m PB: 11.17 ± 0.41) performing maximal effort block starts. The joint angles of the rear hip with respect to the pelvis and the pelvis segment angles with respect to the laboratory coordinate system were calculated during the block start phase to the end of the 1st stance. A combination of pelvis list and rotation (not hip adduction) was coupled with the thigh of the swing leg moving medially during the SP phase. A very high positive correlation was found between pelvic list RoM and 1st step width (r = 0.799, p = 0.003). No other significant correlations were found. Attempting to reduce pelvic RoM or changing frontal and transverse plane hip joint angles to minimise medial thigh motion is unlikely to lead to an improvement to performance. 相似文献

AbstractThis article attempts to conceptualise the notion of the foreigner in relation to immigrant early childhood teachers. Sparked by Kristeva’s challenge, to live with and as others without ostracism or levelling, it highlights tensions that arise in a juxtaposition of the Aotearoa/New Zealand early childhood curriculum document, Te Whāriki and other guidelines for cross-cultural practices, with perspectives on the foreigner and foreignness. Situated in the neoliberal sociopolitical and cultural landscape of Aotearoa/New Zealand, the analysis foregrounds and re-frames orientations towards immigrant teachers as they may play out in the early childhood realm. Kristeva’s insights into foreigners’ raw and intimate experiences provide a freeing lens to emphasise influences on and consequences of a foreigner’s otherness. While Kristeva’s challenge may be a never-ending story of a utopian future in education, its use in this analysis is intended to provoke an awareness of complex conceptualisations of foreignness and of tensions that could subvert the aim of working towards this, possibly elusive, ideal. 相似文献

职业的特殊性对体育教师的身体形态要求有别于其他职业。运用文献资料、访谈、问卷调查等方法探究身体形态与体育教师职业形象的关系,表明：公众对体育教师职业形象外在仪表中的体重和身高两项有较高要求,肥胖可降低其职业能力,进而有损职业形象地提升。体育教师职前拥有良好的体形,但职后10年内体重增加,超重和肥胖发生概率略高于其他人群,产生的原因也体现出独特性。运动时间和量剧减、饮食习惯意识薄弱、饮食无规律等不良生活方式是引起体育教师肥胖的重要环境因素,由此提出相应的策略。 相似文献

Part-time vocational engineering curricula provide a response to a number of present-day demands related to economic developments. Their aim is to transform experienced higher technicians into engineering managers through a combination of knowledge derived from past experience in working positions and in new situations, with courses and activities in an academic institution. Synergy between the two streams can be achieved by specific means such as dual tutoring by the academic institution and the company, training in the capacity of synthesis regarding technological developments in progress, observation and analysis by the learner of his/her own work station, field research on team management and the writing of a final professional dissertation in the company. 相似文献

This study investigated whether text-picture integration is facilitated when text and pictures are presented simultaneously instead of sequentially. Participants memorized general and specific sentences and pictures. It was expected that due to text-picture integration, participants should falsely recognize specific versions of the sentences and pictures even after having studied only their general versions before. Sentences and pictures were presented simultaneously or sequentially with the picture either preceding or following the corresponding sentence. Contrary to expectations, text-picture integration was only observed for picture recognition and was not influenced by temporal contiguity. Findings are explained by the use of simple materials that did not sufficiently tax working-memory capacity to allow for any benefit of a simultaneous text-picture presentation to occur. 相似文献

The new prevalence data regarding the estimated global number of human immunodeficiency virus positive (HIV+) cases, i.e., including people who are either aware or unaware of their HIV infection in 2010, lead many to wonder why the
increase in incidence has reached today’s unprecedented level and escalated within such a short time. This, in spite of prevention
campaigns in countries affected by HIV/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) with their urgent messages aimed at preventing
HIV transmission by promoting changes in individual’s behavior. This article analyzes the background of the prevention strategies,
in particular their political, social and legal concepts in terms of human rights, and reveals traits of human behavior not
considered thus far. A radical reappraisal is necessary, at social and legislative levels, as well as options additional to
current concepts. When ethical issues come up, they become blamed for outmoded moralistic positions. However, ignoring the
reality has led to dire consequences from prioritizing individual human rights over society’s collective need to prevent the
