教师群体共享的思维方式、信仰和价值观念构成的教师职业文化对于教师教学行为和观念的转变具有重要影响.由于对教学文化的特征缺少关注,致使目前的教师专业发展陷入低效,自上而下的教育变革也在一定程度上受到阻抗.探明教学文化的存在状态和特征对于教育改革的推进和教师的专业发展以及学校管理的变革都具有极其重大的意义.然而,文化的存在具有特殊性,作为一种符号形式的社会建构、理解和运用,作为社会事件中的意义与价值的象征系统,它的研究只能采取一种探索意义的阐释性科学的方法.教学文化研究既要关注宏观的世界文明类型影响下的教学文化类型和微观的学校教育环境影响下的教学文化构成与特征,还要在教学文化的影响因素与发展机制的研究的基础上,顺应教育回归生活的历史趋势,寻求教师职能与观念的转变的必然取向.  相似文献   

The use of microcomputer technology in a modular approach to reading and reading difficulties

This paper outlines the theoretical framework of a two-year two cohort study of inter-related modules to model reading in 300 grades 4, 5 and 6 readers, and describes the specially designed microcomputer programs written in Turbo Pascal to implement this modular approach. In brief, the modular approach postulates the interrelated phonological, morphological modules in processing words and sentence/paragraph processing. These three modules or components are subserved by 10 measurable tasks all implemented on the microcomputer (IBM-PC compatible) with reaction time measures as indices of the different facets of verbal efficiency. Statistical analyses of the large data sets for Phase 1 show the linear structural equation modelling fits the data reasonably well. In particular, the morphology task consistently explains between 32% to 44% of the variance in reading performance in the three grades. The findings lend themselves to specific approaches to habilitation in the different components or sub-components.This study was supported by a grant (No. 410-86-0048) from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada awarded to Che Kan Leong. Simon Lock and Jacky Lau were responsible for the microcompurter programming. Edward Danskin, Melvin Kelley, Donald Simmons, Louise Sellinger, Kristin Strauss and Tara Wiley carried out the experimentation with individual children in the schools. Community support programme: support for Chinese trans* students experiencing genderism

Abstract

Previous research on school experiences has often focused on lesbian and gay students. Far fewer studies have examined trans* students’ experiences, especially with respect to community support. And none of this work has addressed relevant issues in an East Asian Chinese cultural context, where transgender equality has been a hotly debated issue in recent years, and prejudice towards members of this ‘invisible’ population still persists. This paper highlights the school experiences of trans* students based on a literature review of international, regional and Hong Kong publications. A case study analysis of one Hong Kong community support programme is used as an example to highlight the important role that this kind of work can play in filling a gap left by the formal education sector. Findings suggest that, given the influence of genderism and deficiencies of in school environments, community support services provided by non-government organisations can play a significant role not only in raising public awareness, but also in filling education and service gaps for sexual and gender minority students.  相似文献
