The interest in assessment for learning (AfL) has resulted in a search for new modes of assessment that are better aligned to students’ learning how to learn. However, with the introduction of new assessment tools, also questions arose with respect to the quality of its measurement. On the one hand, the appropriateness of traditional, psychometric criteria is being questioned in the context of assessment for learning. On the other hand, it has been argued that new criteria need to be formulated to acknowledge the unique features of assessment for learning. The issue dealt with in this review is what quality criteria are specifically relevant to AfL. Studies using (peer) assessment for learning were evaluated with regard to use of quality criteria under two perspectives: their recognition of educational measurement criteria, as well as their consideration of student involvement in the assessment of learning. The selected studies were analyzed to determine what specific criteria were utilized in (successive parts of) the assessment cycle (i.e., the process of construction, administration and follow up of an assessment). Our results indicate that quality criteria are dissimilarly connected to the distinct steps of an assessment cycle, which holds as well for the attention given to student involvement in assessment for learning.  相似文献

In Holland there are not many opportunities of obtaining a university degree through studying in the evenings and at weekends. Only a few faculties have facilities and even these are limited. It is known, however, that at the moment there are no less than 10,000 students with full-time jobs (approximately 10% of the total number of university students). Finding adequate accommodation for this group is one of the major problems in the present educational system at Dutch Universities.The most important aim of the investigation reported in this paper was to establish a profile of the evening (or working) students, on the basis of personal and background data, motivation and the problems they had to cope with. We presented to the working students questions about the structural aspects, the didactic processes and the organisational planning of a curriculum at a possible future Evening University of Holland.This report recommends that an early start be made on an educational institution, organised nation-wide but with local departments, which focuses especially on working students.Translation: Drs. For river basin management, the reliability of the rating curves mainly depends on the accuracy and time period of the observed discharge and water level data. In the Elbe decision support system (DSS), the rating curves are combined with the HEC-6 model to investigate the effects of river engineering measures on the Elbe River system. In such situations, the uncertainty originating from the HEC-6 model is of significant importance for the reliability of the rating curves and the corresponding DSS results. This paper proposes a two-step approach to analyze the uncertainty in the rating curves and propagate it into the Elbe DSS: analytic method and Latin Hypercube simulation. Via this approach the uncertainty and sensitivity of model outputs to input parameters are successfully investigated. The results show that the proposed approach is very efficient in investigating the effect of uncertainty and can play an important role in improving decision-making under uncertainty.  相似文献
