OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of a structured interview protocol (NICHD Investigative Interview Protocol) operationalizing universally recommended guidelines for forensic interviews. METHOD: The NICHD Investigative Protocol was designed to maximize the amount of information obtained using recall memory probes, which are likely to elicit more accurate information than recognition memory probes. Forensic investigators were trained to use the NICHD protocol while conducting feedback-monitored simulation interviews. The utility of the protocol was then evaluated by comparing 55 protocol interviews with 50 prior interviews by the same investigators, matched with respect to characteristics likely to affect the richness of the children's accounts. The comparison was based on an analysis of the investigators' utterance types, distribution, and timing, as well as quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the information produced. RESULTS: As predicted, protocol interviews contained more open-ended prompts overall as well as before the first option-posing utterance than non-protocol interviews did. More details were obtained using open-ended invitations and fewer were obtained using focused questions in protocol interviews than in non-protocol interviews, although the total number of details elicited did not differ significantly. In both conditions, older children provided more details than younger children did. CONCLUSION: The findings confirmed that implementation of professionally recommended practices affected the behavior of interviewers in both the pre-substantive and substantive phases of their interviews and enhanced the quality (i.e., likely accuracy) of information elicited from alleged victims.  相似文献

MBE growth of ZnSxSe1-x thin films on ITO coated glass substrates were carried out using ZnS and Se sources with the substrate temperature ranging from 270℃ to 330℃. The XRD θ/2θ spectra resulted from these films indicated that the as-grown polycrystalline ZnSxSe1-x thin films had a preferred orientation along the (111) planes. The evaluated crystal sizes as deduced from the FWHM of the XRD layer peaks showed strong growth temperature dependence, with the optimized temperature being about 290℃. Both AFM and TEM measurements of these thin films also indicated a similar growth temperature dependence. High quality ZnSxSe1-x thin film grown at the optimized temperature had the smoothest surface with lowest RMS value of 1.2 nm and TEM cross-sectional micrograph showing a well defined columnar structure.  相似文献

Sixty deaf and hearing students were asked to search for goods in a Hypertext Supermarket with either graphical or textual links of high typicality, frequency, and familiarity. Additionally, they performed a picture and word categorization task and two working memory span tasks (spatial and verbal). Results showed that deaf students were faster in graphical than in verbal hypertext when the number of visited pages per search trial was blocked. Regardless of stimuli format, accuracy differences between groups did not appear, although deaf students were slower than hearing students in both Web search and categorization tasks (graphical or verbal). No relation between the two tasks was found. Correlation analyses showed that deaf students with higher spatial span were faster in graphical Web search, but no correlations emerged between verbal span and verbal Web search. A hypothesis of different strategies used by the two groups for searching information in hypertext is formulated. It is suggested that deaf users use a visual-matching strategy more than a semantic approach to make navigation decisions.  相似文献

The structural characteristics and optical and electrical properties of molecular-beam-epitaxy (MBE) grown ZnS0.8Se0.2 thin films on indium-tin-oxide (ITO) glass substrates were investigated in this work. The X-ray diffraction (XRD)results indicated that high quality polycrystalline ZnS0.8Se0.2 thin film grown at the optimized temperature had a preferred orientation along the (111) planes. The transmission electron microscopy (TEM) cross-sectional micrograph of the sample showed a well defined columnar structure with lateral crystal dimension in the order ofa few hundred angstroms. Ultraviolet (UV) photoresponsivity as high as 0.01 A/W had been demonstrated and for wavelengths longer than 450 nm, the response was down from the peak response by more than 3 orders of magnitude. The thin ZnS0.8Se0.2 photosensor layer, with a wide energy gap and anisotropic electrical property, makes a transmission UV liquid crystal light valve ( LCLV) with high resolution feasible.  相似文献

瞿葆奎先生在《中国教育学百年(中)》(《教育研究》1999年第1期)一文中谈到:《人民日报》于1949年11月14日发表了节译苏联凯洛夫主编的《教育学》(1948年俄文版)第二十一章《国民教育制度》(《人民日报》题为《苏联国民教育制度》,于卓节译);继而在1950年3月28日,《人民日报》发表了节译的凯洛夫《教育学》第十二章《劳动教育》(《人民日报》题为《苏联的劳动教育》,蒋洪举节译);1950年4月3日的《人民日报》,又译载了冈察洛夫著的《教育学原理》(1947年俄文版)的"序言"、凯洛夫《教育学》第一章《教育学的对象和方法》的第五节《教育学是科学》(《人民日报》题为《论教育科学》,沈颖、南致善合译,并认为凯洛夫主编的这本《教育学》是理论与实践相结合的"巨著")。这对当时急于了解苏联社会主义教育经验和理论的人来说,乃是"雪中送炭"。此后教育界迅速掀起了学习苏联教育学的热潮,尤其是学习凯洛夫主编的《教育学》热。这可以说是中国教育学百年中的第三次热潮了。70年后,本刊重新发表《论教育科学》这篇译文,保持原样,以示纪念。  相似文献

The Deaf Identity Development Scale (Glickman, 1993) was modified to include hearing individuals and examine how hearing and deaf adults identify themselves. Statistical analysis based on 244 deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing respondents revealed a significant interaction between hearing status of self and parents on the hearing, marginal, and immersion scales of the modified version but not on the bicultural scale. Codas are more marginalized, less immersed, and similarly 'hearing' in comparison to deaf persons with deaf parents. Hard-of-hearing respondents with deaf parents endorse more hearing values and fewer deaf values in comparison to deaf counterparts and also appear to be more marginalized. There were no significant differences between deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals with hearing parents. Compared to hearing respondents with hearing parents, deaf counterparts were more marginalized, more 'hearing,' and equally 'deaf.' Strong professional affiliation with the deaf community resulted in scores that differed significantly from those for individuals not as strongly affiliated. We discuss implications for identity development.  相似文献
