The need is considered to integrate the concept of information in the course of the development of a new info(rmo)logical and documentological paradigm through the concept of an intellectual product that is realized by the use of sign systems. This paper presents an ontological approach to generating automated medical technological records (MTRs). The medical organizational TR meta-ontology has been developed based on the paper variant of 63 technological records that are used at the Medical Center of the Bank of Russia. The paper describes the key elements of an automated MTR. The MTR ontology for bronchial asthma attack is used as an example.  相似文献

This paper describes a new multi-method technology PAKS-M (Progressive Aggregation of the Classified Situations by many Methods) for the multi-criteria choice. This technology provides reducing the dimension of the attribute space, constructing several hierarchical systems of composite criteria and an integral quality index that aggregates initial attributes as well as the classification and/or ordering of multiattribute objects using different combinations of several decision-making methods. The technology is based on the knowledge of experts and/or the preferences of a decision maker (DM). It significantly reduces the time and complexity of solution of a multi-criteria choice task, and allows a decision maker to conduct a meaningful analysis of the results. This technology was used for the multi-criteria selection of a prospective computing complex.  相似文献

Student persistence and completion are paramount in higher education, and institutions are employing targeted programs and initiatives to address these concerns. The academic library can play an especially important role in these efforts, given its unique interdisciplinary mission and its integrated instructional programs. With a foundation in both higher education and library and information science literatures, this article describes how one academic library engaged in cross-campus programs, partnerships, and initiatives to contribute to student success efforts. Other libraries may find these examples useful as they consider how to frame their work in the context of their institutions’ student persistence efforts.  相似文献

Thermodynamics is a fundamental foundation of all engineering disciplines. A vast majority of engineering undergraduate programmes contain one or more courses on thermodynamics, and many engineers use thermodynamics every day to analyse or design energy systems. However, there is extensive anecdotal evidence as well as a wide range of published literature indicating that students often struggle to understand thermodynamic principles. In an effort to understand students' attitudes and perception of thermodynamics, including their expectations, experience and frustrations, an investigation was conducted. Following a review of the literature on the teaching and learning of thermodynamics in engineering, a survey questionnaire was developed and administered to close to a 1000 students in 17 thermodynamics classes at 13 universities in 7 countries. Survey results were analysed using statistical methods. This paper presents the findings of this investigation.  相似文献

This paper draws on the Academic Literacies approach to examine tutor/student relations in the production of academic texts. We address issues associated with learning to write in such contexts, through exploring the perspectives of two groups of non-traditional students as they reflect on their experiences in navigating educational contexts in a Brazilian public university. The term non-traditional is used here to refer to students from social groups whose previous generation had no, or very limited, access to university. In order to explore the “hidden features” of the contextualized nature of academic writing, we present two cases: students from Angola and from Campo, both groups not traditionally represented in Brazilian universities. We explored the development of writing in academic contexts by examining tensions identified by these students and their tutors/teachers as they engaged with academic literacies.  相似文献

In this wide-ranging review essay, the author engages Christian Higher Education: A Global Reconnaissance, a book edited by J. Carpenter, P. L. Glanzer, and N. S. Lantinga (2014). His remarks focus especially on the five chapters of the book that survey Christian higher education in nations where he has direct experience: Brazil, Kenya, India, South Korea, and the United States. An extended reflection, both philosophical and practical, is then offered on a common task of Christian higher education across many cultures: how to develop and sustain a holistic education that promotes Kingdom prospering, above and beyond national and commercial purposes. He makes the case for a liberating education that seeks to instill a dynamic combination of integrative thinking and character formation. The essay ends with practical advice as the author encourages fellow educators to focus their efforts on faculty development, general education, and cross-cultural partnerships as the keys to building and sustaining a liberating education.  相似文献
