The behaviors of irradiation swelling, irradiation creep and thermal-cycling fatigue induced by fast neutron fluence and developed in the LMFBR pressure vessels are analyzed on the basis of experimental data. From the interactions of the irradiation swelling, irradiation creep and thermal-cycling fatigue, the failure criterion for the design and safety surveillance of the pressure vessels can be expressed as a(frbuilt|t/tc)u+b(frbuilt|N/Nf)v+c(?/?s)w=1, where t is time, tc is creep rupture time, N is number of cycles, Nf is number of cycles to failure, ? is strain, ?s is swelling strain to failure, and a, b, c, u, v and w are parameters or constants. The tangential tensile strain produced by the irradiation creep, thermal-cycling fatigue and hydrostatic pressure of the liquid sodium coolant may be combined together with the irradiation swelling strain ? as a whole. The inter-relationships between the behaviors of irradiation swelling, irradiation creep and thermal-cycling fatigue developed in the LMFBR pressure vessels are discussed.  相似文献

This study aimed to understand the process of change within Wilderness Therapy. It used grounded theory to explore development and change during the programme and relate this to theories of adolescence and engagement, particularly for adolescents in the care system.

Data collected from interviews with 11 adolescents were analysed using constructionist grounded theory. The wilderness environment, the staff, and the activities were identified as interactive factors that facilitated personal development. The analysis demonstrated the influence of early engagement in overall change. Relational factors interacted with an appropriate level of support and encouragement during activities which led to the adolescents experiencing success and increases in self-worth, self-esteem and efficacy. Improvements in self-efficacy, social skills, and anger management, as well as increasingly more positive views about the world were demonstrated in all participants who completed the programme.  相似文献

This study investigated whether students' approaches to learning were influenced by the design of university courses. Pre‐ and post‐evaluations of the approaches to learning of the same group of students concurrently enrolled in a conventional course (lectures and tutorials) and an action learning‐based course (project work, learning groups) were conducted. Students who reported themselves as more ‘typically deep’ in their approach to learning were consistent in their approaches across the different environments. However, students who reported themselves as more ‘typically surface’ were influenced to adopt deeper processing strategies in the action learning design. Students explained this ‘deep shift’ in terms of the greater expectations of learner activity and responsibility in the action learning design.  相似文献

We have taken the liberty to assign the name Jamie to our profile of the young child based on norms and theories of child development including Piaget, Gesell, Kohlberg, Erikson, and many more. The purpose of this paper is to trace the historical emphasis and development of media-related research. The positive and negative aspects of this research are reviewed. Early research with its inherent methodological problems is followed by more recent studies involving aptitude treatment interaction. Recommendations by practitioners and researchers alike, as well as trends for future research, are presented.
