This paper challenges a foundational conjecture of the Religion in Education Dialogue or Conflict (REDCo) project, that increased interest in religion in public and political life as manifested particularly in education is evidence of counter-secularisation. They go on to describe their feelings about the mission of their school. Meta-concepts,thinking skills and religious education

This paper proposes that the acquisition of meta-concepts and thinking skills in order to facilitate scholarly religious thought should be the principal aim of religious education in schools. As a result, the aim of religious education is primarily stated in cognitive terms and religious education is understood as closely related to education about religion. The educational value of this approach is explained in a cultural–historical perspective on learning. It is shown that there is a close connection between learning and development and that school learning especially contributes to development of pupils’ higher cognitive functions, if school learning aims at the acquisition of subject-specific meta-concepts and thinking skills. In order to apply these insights to religious education, the aim of religious education is reconsidered and some examples of meta-concepts and thinking skills that may serve as the content of religious education are discussed.  相似文献   

Re-telling the “Story So Far”: Reconsidering Sport and Spirituality in Light of the New Age

ABSTRACT

Sport and spirituality is a burgeoning academic area of study (Jirasek, 2015). To date, the field has been dominated by Christian scholarship (Watson & Parker, 2011). Incidentally, the history of the field is often narrated from a Christocentric viewpoint. Such narratives downplay, denigrate, or ignore the impact of other religious ideas. This article highlights New Age thinking as a primary driver of sport and spirituality, and problematizes exclusively Christianized historiographies of the field. Exposing connections to New Age figures and ideas, this article demonstrates the necessity of a more nuanced narrative of the field of sport and spirituality. It concludes by suggesting that scholars of sport should critically attend to the historiographical, theoretical, and methodological developments of a field, as these are inherently political practices.  相似文献

布努瑶民间信仰现状研究——以大化县弄冠村为例

中国的少数民族的宗教以民间信仰为主,作为瑶族一个支系的布努瑶族,同样如此。他们的民间信仰以密洛陀信仰为主体,同时信仰＂万物有灵＂的多神崇拜和祖先崇拜。由于受壮族汉族的长期影响,人们在布努瑶的宗教仪式和宗教典籍中发现道教和佛教的影子。随着社会发展的深入,与其他民族沟通融合的加强,布努瑶的各个方面都有了新的发展和变化,这些新发展和变化对其信仰的民间宗教同样产生了影响,使其更能适应现代人精神生活所需,同时有利于该地区的社会安定和谐。  相似文献   

民族伦理视野中的民间宗教及其功用

中华民族是一个多元一体的整体,文化在其形成过程中起到了关键作用。儒家文化为中华民族内部的族际伦理奠定了宽容开放的伦理基调,而民间宗教传统则在日常生活层面具体细微地雕琢共同的民族精神。承继先秦巫祝文化的遗存、糅合了儒释道三教精神、带有原始宗教色彩的民间宗教,对于中华各个少数民族的宗教信仰和生活俗常都有或多或少的影响,这增强了中华各民族间的精神联结,促进了民族混居地区各族生活习俗的趋同性,在一定程度上促进了文化认同与民族融合。但是民间宗教在当代社会中的现实处境,致使其文化功能部分丧失。  相似文献

从描绘内蒙草原风情到书写神秘复杂心灵,张承志不断在创作中建构自己的心灵王国。他改变的是单一的参照尺度,一如既往的是作为一个知识分子所承担的道义责任和对内心信仰的执着坚守。张承志对草原的深情叙述是对青春岁月的追忆,浪漫中夹杂一丝感伤;对哲合忍耶牺牲精神的盛赞,偏激中是对弱小受欺的愤懑和对人类理想、信仰缺失的担忧。张承志在贴近这些文化时,持平等与尊重之态,汲其营养的同时保有反思,其作品中极具地域特色的草原沙漠画凝聚着对生命的沉思,充满宗教情怀的叙述流淌的是一个正直知识分子的一腔热血。  相似文献
