Imagery and sentence versions of the keyword method of vocabulary learning were contrasted with three nonkeyword verbal-contextual alternatives. Subjects' definition learning in the imagery keyword condition was substantially higher than when subjects were presented the vocabulary in sentence contexts, when they generated sentence contexts for the words, when they made decisions about whether the words were used correctly in sentences, or when they were left to their own devices to learn the words. The learning benefits associated with the sentence keyword version were not as dramatic as in the imagery keyword condition. They were more evident when recall of any part of the definition was considered correct than when recall of the entire definition was necessary. These results indicate that the keyword method is a potent alternative to vocabulary-learning techniques that are regarded as effective by curriculum experts in reading. 相似文献

Although this hypothesis has important instructional and theoretical implications, little progress has been made on obtaining unconfounded tests of the hypothesis. This paper compares the Canadian and Chinese national strategies for digital records by the aspects of the term national, the status of digital records and their management, and the key features of the newly developed strategies of the two countries. By doing so, it aims at revealing best practices and/or lessons learned that are instructive to a wider information community for application and adaptation, irrespective of the existence of certain political and administrative differences. The comparison revealed one similarity that both countries recognize the lack of qualified professionals for discharging the duties of managing digital records, yet a number of distinctions in areas such as records focus, relationships between the development of the strategies and academic input, dedication of records management, and the role of national archives. It concludes that there are areas about which the countries can learn from each other, which applies in particular to Canada. 相似文献

根据我国与加拿大的引渡法,理论上可以直接进行引渡。但是,两国在引渡的条件、具体步骤与批准主体、引渡的临时强制措施等方面都存在一定差异,故而对直接引渡产生了障碍。因此,应尽快签订双边引渡条约,为两国在打击跨国犯罪方面的合作奠定法律基础,以适应两国刑事司法合作的需要。 相似文献
