War II. Taught in a literary and historical vacuum under the thematic umbrella of “courage and survival,” the novel has been
criticised as an example of “perpetrator as victim” representation. Because of its assumed high “truth value,” life-writing
positions itself very specifically as a narrative of a “witness” recounting her story. The resultant authentication of suffering
may thereby render issues of historicity effectively irrelevant. Diverse interpretative communities may thus read the novel
in incompatible ways.

This article critically considers the discourse on school bullying through the conceptual framework of lenses and argues that a macro lens has been utilised by school bullying researchers to bring into focus the characteristics of the individuals involved and the types of actions used. By considering earlier understandings of bullying, the article illustrates how this macro lens has become a metalens through which school bullying is understood. This has had implications for how bullying is understood and addressed, as well as for how vast numbers of school-aged children are perceived and treated. The article argues that the macro lens needs to be replaced with a wide-angle lens, so as to bring the social, institutional and societal contexts into view. 相似文献

Reading difficulties (RDs) are easily noticed by classmates, may cause frustration in the affected students, and are often accompanied by emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal problems at school. Although interviews with students with RDs have revealed bullying experiences, whether RDs actually increase the risk of bullying involvement has not been investigated before. We tested the association of self-reported RDs with peer-reported involvement in bullying in a nationally representative sample of 17,188 students (grades 3–8) from 1045 classrooms in 147 schools. Results indicated that experienced difficulties in the most fundamental learning skill seem to put students at risk especially for victimization at school (viewed by peers as victims and bully/victims), when gender, level of schooling, self-esteem, and difficulties in math were taken into account. In general, over a third of students with RDs were involved in bullying as victims, bullies, or bully/victims, compared with approximately a fifth of students without RDs. 相似文献

通过细读海尔曼的《小狐狸》,发现家庭中的女性处于从属地位,男性对其施加父权压迫。父辈的财产传男不传女,女性的财产继承权被剥夺,女性在家庭中没有决定权。父权社会不给女性提供工作的机会,将她们的活动范围局限于家庭中,造成了女性对家庭中的男性的经济上的依赖。通过分析《小狐狸》中三位女性的人物形象,展现出由于父权价值观,三位女性均受到压迫和束缚,尽管个人的反应不同,但都变成父权压迫的牺牲品。 相似文献
