of this important but unnoticed group of minute keratin cycling machines present in soil. We believe that Indian soil contains
many more such fungi which have not been isolated and we hope this article will create interest among students to isolate

中国是世界上生物多样性资源丰富的国家之一。作为全球性生物 巨大多样性"国家,中国具有多种多样的生态系统、植被类型、物种和遗传多样性。中国的植物尤其丰富,30,000种高等植物产于中国,其中乔、灌木 7,500种;中国的动物区系同样丰富。据统计已发现有6,347种脊椎动物(包括 1,24 4种鸟类和3,862种鱼类),特有植物物种多达 17,300种;特有脊椎动物 667种;中国西部 12个省、市、自治区,包括甘肃、贵州、陕西、四川、青海、云南6省,广西壮族自治区、内蒙古自治区、宁夏回族自治区、新疆维吾尔族自治区和西藏自治区等 5个自治区以及重庆市。土地面积 698万km2,约占国土总面积的70 %;有全国 75 %的植物物种数和动物物种数。中国西部省区人口总数为405亿,其中少数民族人口占相当比重。多民族文化状态造就了中国西部省区成为独特的生物 文化多样性地区;另一方面,中国西部省区面临农村贫困、自然资源与环境的退化和少数民族依然处于边缘状态的现实。本文讨论了中国西部省区的生物与文化多样性及其在经济发展方面的潜力。急需保护该地区的自然和文化,以达到可持续发展的目的。 相似文献

我国已签署并认真履行了《生物多样性公约》,法律体系基本完善、有专门的组织与协调机构不断加强生物多样性保护的宣传与研究,取得了一定的成果。但也还存在一些不足,必须通过提高大众的自觉保护意识、进一步完善法制体系建设、加大资金投入、争取多方支持、建立相应的信息平台和系统,并应采取得力措施减少工业污染、防止外来物种侵入、防止人类的无序活动等,才能使我国的生物多样性得到更好的保护,从而为我国的社会主义建设更好地服务。 相似文献

Abstract The discussion in this article is based on the premise that there is a need to include specialised knowledge about the environment and its resources into Environmental Education programmes in South Africa. The investigation is thus focused on the so-called species approach to sustain biodiversity. In this regard the conservation status of a number of threatened plants, mammals, birds and butterflies are surveyed. The aim of the survey is to illustrate which category of species could be considered for inclusion in Environmental Education research and programmes in South Africa. Sustainable development and the benefits of biodiversity conservation are discussed, inter alia, poverty alleviation through job creation, game-ranching and eco-tourism. The research is concluded with recommendations for Environmental Education programmes, educators and learners. 相似文献

2021年适逢联合国教科文组织"人与生物圈计划"发起50周年。我国于1973年加入这一全球性政府间大型科学计划,并于1978年经国务院批准成立了中国人与生物圈国家委员会。近50年来,人与生物圈计划的理念与我国自然保护地建设的实践深度融合,对推动我国生物多样性保护和自然资源可持续利用、助力生态文明和美丽中国建设发挥了重要作用。在联合国《生物多样性公约》第十五次缔约方大会(COP15)即将召开和人与生物圈计划发起50周年之际,文章回顾了这一计划在我国的发展历程,分析了存在的问题与挑战,并结合我国以国家公园为主体的自然保护地体系的行业背景,以及参与全球环境治理和共建地球生命共同体的新需求,就工作高质量推进方向做了展望。 相似文献

Abstract The authors examined environmental attitudes among foreign-born Latino Americans and differences in these attitudes associated with acculturation. Data were collected from Spanish-speaking students (N = 153) enrolled in 3 levels of English as a second language (ESL) courses and from English-speaking students (N = 39) enrolled in a Spanish as a second language course. Measures included the New Environmental Paradigm (NEP) scale, a 4-item acculturation scale, ESL course level, and demographics. Acculturation was negatively related to scores on the NEP scale, and Spanish-speaking students in lower level ESL courses scored higher on the NEP than students in higher level courses. These effects remained significant even when income and education were used as covariates. These findings suggest that culture is an important determinant of environmental attitudes. 相似文献
