Interdependencia lingüística y desarrollo educativo de los niños bilingües

Resumen

La tesis central del presente artículo es que se puede adquirir una forma de bilingüismo beneficiosa, cognitiva y académicamente hablando, solamente a partir de un desarrollo adecuado de la habilidad en la primera lengua (L1). Se formulan y combinan dos hipótesis hasta llegar a esta conclusión. La hipótesis del «Desarrollo interdependiente» propone que el desarrollo de la competencia en una segunda lengua (L2) depende, en parte, del tipo de competencia desarrollada ya en la L1 en el momento en que empieza una exposición intensiva a la L2. La hipótesis del «Umbral» propone que existen niveles umbrales de competencia lingüística que el niño deberá alcanzar en ambas lenguas, lo cual evitará desventajas cognitivas y permitirá que los aspectos potencialmente beneficiosos del bilingüismo influyan en su funcionamiento cognitivo y académico. Estas hipótesis se insertan en un modelo de educación bilingüe en el que los resultados educativos se explican en función de la interacción entre medio ambiente, input del niño y factores del método educativo. Se sugiere que en muchas evaluaciones de programas de educación bilingüe no se han podido interpretar los datos porque en el diseño de investigación no se han incorporado estas posibles interacciones.  相似文献

Using the multimodal affordances of the interactive whiteboard to support students’ understanding of texts

The purpose of the study reported on here was to explore ways in which the interactive whiteboard (IWB) can support students’ understanding of texts. A Year 3 and a Year 4 primary school class in New South Wales, Australia, is the focus of the research. A qualitative case study was carried out using multimodal analysis focusing on the use of an e‐book displayed via the IWB. The results of the study indicate that the IWB can support students’ understanding of a narrative to prepare them to write a whole‐class response through providing increased access to a range of resources that are multimodal in nature. The way the interactive features of the IWB can facilitate access to multimodal resources to cater for student needs is also discussed.  相似文献

A deep vein thrombosis caused by 20209C>T mutation in homozygosis of the prothrombin gene in a Caucasian patient

Introduction:

Additional nucleotide substitutions in the 3′-untranslated region of prothrombin gene could explain some thrombotic events and also adverse pregnancy outcomes. We describe the first case of a homozygous 20209Ce;T mutation as the cause of deep vein thrombosis in a Spanish patient.

Case and methods:

The 56-year-old male patient with a partial tear of the Achilles tendon developed calf (tibial) deep vein thrombosis after immobilization and was treated with an anticoagulant. To determine if the deep vein thrombosis was of genetic origin, a peripheral blood DNA sample was analysed for the presence of the three most frequent mutations associated with thrombotic events: factor V Leiden (1691Ge;A), prothrombin (20210Ge;A) and methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase (677Ce;T). The presence or absence of the normal allele of prothrombin could not be determined using the PTH-FV-MTHFR StripAssay (Vienna Lab).

Results:

Comprehensive analysis showed that the patient had a variant interfering with the polymerase chain reaction product, we sequenced the entire prothrombin gene and found that the patient had a homozygous Ce;T mutation at position 20209; this interfered with the polymerase chain reaction product, which needs a C at this position to be able to bind to the wild-type probe present in the test strip.

Conclusion:

The homozygous 20209Ce;T mutation and the presence of the mutation 677Ce;T in heterozygosity explained the patient’s deep vein thrombosis because the combination of mutations would increase the risk of thrombosis. Suitable genetic counselling should be provided to the patient and first-degree relatives as it important to detect prothrombin gene variants that could increase risk for thrombotic events.  相似文献

Las ilustraciones como ayudas extratextuales que mejoran el recuerdo y el aprendizaje de textos expositivos

Resumen

El objetivo de esta investigación es el de conocer el efecto diferencial de un tipo particular de ayuda extratextual: las ilustraciones. Considerando que los textos narrativos mejoran el uso de procesos inferenciales, ya que facilitan la generación de modelos mentales, nuestro trabajo trató de encontrar la posibilidad de mejorar los procesos inferenciales y el aprendizaje a través de la incorporación del formato cómic en textos expositivos. Empleamos una muestra de 40 participantes, con una media de edad de 13 años, quefueron asignados de forma aleatoria a dos grupos: el G1 que leyó el texto expositivo en su formato estándar y el G2 que leyó el mismo texto pero acompañado de ilustraciones. Consideramos como medidas de la variable dependiente (grado de comprensión lectora) las medidas a nivel micro y macroproposicionaly las medidas inferenciales, referidas al modelo mental generado. Nuestros resultados mostraron diferencias significativas entre los grupos en todas las medidas de las variables dependientes, por lo) que deducimos que la presentación de ilustraciones facilita la generación de un modelo mental.  相似文献

In the past five years, there have been significant changes concerning the material and design properties of digital books, with an impact on children's enjoyment and learning from reading on screen. Despite the rapid advances in technology, research on children's digital books is disjointed. This is because of no consistent approach to the study of interactivity, an under‐theorised relationship between print and digital books, and a binary design focused on either learning or playful engagement with digital books. Drawing on the discourse reminiscent of digital game designers, some developers, scholars and professionals celebrate interactivity in digital books as a possibility to motivate and engage children in reading, while a body of experimental research documents the negative impact of interactivity on children's story comprehension and vocabulary learning. This paper presents an integrative framework based on a comprehensive literature review and a content review of the hundred most popular children's digital interactive books. The framework offers: (1) methodological guidance and a definition of interactivity based on five key categories; (2) theoretical guidance based on the third‐space theory; and (3) innovative design and evaluation models based on a ‘method assemblage’. As such, the integrative framework provides new tools and perspectives to advance the field of children's digital books.  相似文献
