加强民族地区公共图书馆服务体系建设,是实现各族群众基本文化权益的重要途径。改革开放四十年来民族地区公共图书馆发展取得了辉煌的成绩:①图书馆数量不断增加;②办馆水平不断提高;③文献资源日益丰富;④服务水平不断提升;⑤数字化进程逐步加快;⑥馆员能力不断提升;⑦学术交流与合作日益频繁。民族地区公共图书馆在发展过程中积累了丰富的经验:国家倾斜与扶持政策为其发展提供了有力保障;现代公共图书馆理念是其发展的重要引导;民族文化保护与传承是事业发展的主要动力;自主创新是事业发展的关键;外部援助与自力更生相结合是其发展的根本道路。但同时民族地区公共图书馆发展在以下方面仍有待加强:经费保障机制有待健全;公共图书馆服务体系建设亟待完善;服务供给与需求亟待契合;人才队伍建设亟待加强;法制建设尚待健全。表3。参考文献57。  相似文献   

Feeling like a fraud: Helping students renegotiate their academic identities

A sense of belonging is an integral aspect of success in a long-term, group-oriented endeavor such as the pursuit of a college education. When students feel their presence at college is fraudulent, their achievements unfounded, or that they will be further disenfranchised if their true self is discovered, it is less likely that they will connect to the people who and services that can help them achieve their educational goals. This “imposter syndrome” or “imposter phenomenon” can be addressed and turned around through a concerted effort. While that effort involves a personal journey, like any journey it is often aided and accompanied by others. Through strategic outreach efforts, academic libraries are positioned to be important players in that journey, helping these “imposters” renegotiate their self-images to include a sense of their essential place in academia and belief in their ability to successfully complete their academic goals.  相似文献

Plagiarism and copyright infringement are terms that most students are familiar with, and when asked, most students will readily express the sentiment that plagiarizing the work of others or committing copyright infringement is wrong. Despite students' basic understanding of these concepts, many struggle to put them into practice. Often this is a result of students not having enough knowledge about how to cite sources or how copyrighted works can legally be reused for scholarly purposes. This article identifies a way in which copyright and plagiarism can be taught as well as a process students can work through when addressing these issues.  相似文献

This article presents results of a study of library-related posts on Yik Yak, a former social media app, and questions received via more traditional library-maintained virtual reference service platforms—namely, chat/instant messaging, SMS/text messaging, email, and LibAnswers' Query Spy—at College of Charleston's Addlestone Library. Based on an analysis of the results, suggestions are made for using social media tools similar to Yik Yak as a tool for interacting with patrons in academic library settings, specifically as a means to gather feedback about the library and to provide basic reference services.  相似文献
