劳伦斯的《白孔雀》是一曲现代牧歌,小说中描写的自然风景、农事、爱情及理想化的乡土生活,都具有牧歌属性。哀歌是牧歌发展的一个分支,以衰败和忧伤的格调,表达作者的失意与哀伤。在现代文明的冲击下,小说中传统农业耕种方式逐步瓦解,人与自然的和谐关系遭到破坏,爱情和友情也走向解体,哀歌的主题也随之展现出来。  相似文献

In this paper, I conduct a critical discourse analysis of the Morehouse College Appropriate Attire Policy and discuss how issues of race, gender, and sexuality converge to reveal both overt and hidden meanings embedded in the policy. I also consider how power is used towards “other” black college men who neither fit neatly into prescribed gender norms, nor foster representations of “good” black men. I situate this critical policy analysis in the context of two ideas: bipolar masculinity and the politics of respectability, and offer implications for the use of intersectional frames in scholarship and research on men and institutional policies.  相似文献

裴度、元稹交恶是中唐一个重要的政治事件。二人由关系相对融洽到关系恶化再到长庆期间矛盾公开化,有一个逐渐发展的过程。他们之间的矛盾是中唐错综复杂矛盾的一个交织点。个人恩怨是矛盾的起点,其背后由于各自所属利益集团不同而导致的政治见解的差别是矛盾产生的根本原因。其中,裴度与元稹所代表的翰林学士集团之间的矛盾,以裴度为代表的主张削藩的力量与以皇帝为代表的“妥协派”之间的矛盾以及以裴度作为资深政治家与元稹所代表的文士之间的矛盾,是矛盾的焦点。裴度与元稹的矛盾对中唐文学的走向产生了重大影响。  相似文献

A Test of the Infusion Method

ABSTRACT

Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine whether the infusion method of teaching social work students about populations at risk is an effective educational strategy.

Method: Participant MSW students were given pretests and posttests of the Attitudes Toward Lesbians and Gays Scale at the beginning and end of the semester in which the infusion method of teaching about vulnerable populations including gay men was used in a required course on psychodynamic developmental theories.

Results: Students' homophobic and antigay attitudes were lowered to a statistically significant degree.

Discussion: All of the significant change occurred in the section with students whose mean pretest scores were in the mid range of the total group. Neither the sections with the highest or lowest mean score were affected. This illustrates the challenges of influencing firmly held values yet suggests that the values of those less decided can be influenced by this teaching method.  相似文献
