西南地区少数民族传统体育文化资源开发利用的必要性及意义

Measuring Effectiveness in a Virtual Library

Measuring quality of service in academic libraries traditionally includes quantifiable data such as collection size, staff counts, circulation numbers, reference service statistics, qualitative analyses of customer satisfaction, shelving accuracy, and building comfort. In the libraries of the third millennium, virtual worlds, Web content and remote customer populations mean that traditional measures of quality service are no longer complete. Applying methods to quantify effectiveness is vital to future success, and is a necessary precursor to examining quality of service. This case study of a small, virtual academic library, created to serve a non-traditional student population, faculty, and community, illustrates the use of measures such as the saturation rate of student population, the percentage of bibliographic sessions and orientations compared to number of courses offered, and Web site traffic patterns. As library services are affected by factors such as self-sufficient customers, declining physical collections, staff cuts, and increases in virtual traffic, all types of academic libraries may find it useful to implement the relatively uncomplicated data analysis explored in this article, in addition to established methodologies.  相似文献   

Improving the Root Mean Square Error of Approximation for Nonnormal Conditions in Structural Equation Modeling

In this study, the authors investigated incorporating adjusted model fit information into the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) fit index. Through Monte Carlo simulation, the usefulness of this adjusted index was evaluated for assessing model adequacy in structural equation modeling when the multivariate normality assumption underlying maximum likelihood estimation is violated. Adjustment to the RMSEA was considered in 2 forms: a rescaling adjustment via the Satorra-Bentler rescaled goodness-of-fit statistic and a bootstrap adjustment via the Bollen and Stine adjusted model p value. Both properly specified and misspecifed models were examined. The adjusted RMSEA was evaluated in terms of the average index value across study conditions and with respect to model rejection rates under tests of exact fit, close fit, and not-close fit.  相似文献   

An Experimental Study of the Effect of Educational Guidance on a Selected Group of High School Sophomores

The question of an interaction over time between ability grouping and personality variables was the focus of the present study which examined pertinent data from 260 female high school students. Two standardized personality instruments, in addition to several scales designed by the E’s, were administered to students of the upper and lower ability tracks in a Catholic high school, grades 9 and 12. Ss in the lower track were found to have a lower need for achievement, a higher need to avoid failure, and a higher average score of test anxiety than Ss in the upper track. The effects of ability grouping did interact with grade level for a correlate of personality, level of aspiration. Relative to Ss in the upper track, the lower track Ss experienced a reduction in level of aspiration over time. Both future directions of associated research and educational practices were discussed within the context of the present findings.  相似文献

This paper aimed at examining the barriers to and facilitators of disseminating and utilizing the results of a local Swedish school survey. Interviews with 21 school district managers/principals were performed. Results showed that dissemination and utilization of local survey data appeared as two interrelated processes. With those processes, various barriers and facilitators were mentioned. The barriers and facilitators were not merely the opposites of each other; instead they qualitatively differed from each other depending on what phase in the process the manager/principal referred to. The results also showed that the dissemination phase was both a prerequisite for and interwoven with the utilization phase, e.g. dissemination efforts were important for how the survey results were utilized.  相似文献

在学术期刊上公开发表的科研论文是科研成果的主要表现形式之一,学术期刊作为科研成果发表的媒介,其科研评价功能是明确的,主要体现在论文发表前的评审过程和论文发表后的反响情况.利用期刊的各种计量指标评价科研成果适应了科研管理科学化、制度化、有效化的时代要求.通过分析核心期刊科研评价的利弊,提出采用综合评价、明确期刊与论文间的关系、区别3种不同层次的评价对象、借鉴分级管理办法、进行校内优秀论文评审、推行论文代表作制、区别评价教学和科研人员的学术成绩,考虑科研成果评价的多面性等8个方面改进学术期刊科研评价机制的措施.  相似文献
