In this article we examine the complex relationship between care experience, mental health and exclusion from school and how young people (YP) negotiate these different experiences and identities. The study is a secondary analysis, informed by symbolic interactionist theory, of interviews conducted with 19 care experienced YP in Scotland. Not all of the YP were excluded and not all had a formal mental health diagnosis, as such our study design allows interrogation of the contexts and relationships which not only facilitate but also disrupt pathways to exclusion. It also allows reconsideration of assumptions of vulnerability which are often applied to care experienced YP. Our findings suggest that these YP are moving beyond ‘role playing’ the identities ascribed to them and actively seek out relationships which enable them to construct alternative identities.  相似文献

In this essay, Hans-Christoph Koller presents a concept of transformational processes of Bildung in an attempt to redefine the German notion of Bildung referring to actual social conditions of educational processes. According to this conception, Bildung is a transformation of world- and self-relations that can come about when subjects are confronted with problems for which they have no established routines of engagement. With reference to theories of Pierre Bourdieu, Bernhard Waldenfels, and Ulrich Oevermann, Koller looks for answers to three questions: (1) Which concepts and theories are able to adequately grasp the world- and self-relations of subjects going through processes of Bildung? (2) How can the problems that trigger processes of Bildung and that challenge subjects to transform be determined more precisely? (3) How exactly does the emergence of new figures of world- and self-relations take place when we “successfully” complete a process of Bildung? Finally, the essay concludes with an attempt to clarify the normative implications of this theory.  相似文献

Education Preparation Programs (EPPs) are increasingly pressured to demonstrate alignment between program supports and candidates’ outcomes. Using mixed methods, we studied the Early Field Immersion School (EFIS), an effort to improve candidates’ early field experiences. Participants included 171 candidates enrolled in a graduate certificate program and 11 university-based faculty. EFIS candidates spent increased time in early field experiences, yet EFIS was not associated with candidates’ performance at program exit. Although we found that while candidates and faculty alike valued EFIS supports, participation was negatively associated with perceptions of preparedness. We discuss these discrepancies and offer suggestions for ongoing research.  相似文献

Universities aspire to offer students a transformative experience, but rarely spell out the nature of this transformation. In this essay, L. A. Paul and John Quiggin frame the successful university education as transformative in the philosophical sense. They explain the way that a successful college education can be understood as generating an individual conceptual revolution, and thus, as a transformative experience. Education can create epistemically transformative change through the process of developing critical thinking skills, leading to conceptual replacement and the discovery of new intellectual frameworks. This epistemic transformation, if deep enough, scales up into a personal transformation. After explicating the nature and structure of transformative education, Paul and Quiggin show how understanding transformation in terms of personal change and awareness of unawareness clarifies the debate over its value.  相似文献

创新公益性机构与社会化组织融合发展机制,对于完善我国农技推广体系和建立现代农业经营制度具有重要意义。本文基于实地调研,采取案例研究和对比方法,提炼了典型模式,分析农技推广机制创新的经验,提出完善我国农技推广体系的对策。结果表明,我国农技推广体系机制创新,形成了政府主导下组织再造、社会化组织有偿服务、政府购买服务、农科教推协同推广4种模式。基层实践推动了我国农技推广体系变革,公益性推广服务职能得到拓展、农技供给结构发生变化、社会化服务市场快速发展、政府主导作用日益突出。新形势下,需要进一步强化政策顶层设计、深入推进公益性机构改革和提高政府对农技推广的管理能力。  相似文献

[目的/意义]构建基于用户体验视角的学术虚拟社区评价指标体系,既有利于提升学术虚拟社区的知识服务水平,也有利于提高其影响力与竞争力,对于学术虚拟社区的持续健康发展具有重要意义。[方法/过程]本文从用户体验视角出发,以D-S证据理论为基础,运用D-S证据合成方法,构建用户体验视角下学术虚拟社区评价指标体系,并计算各级指标的权重系数。[结果/结论]最终得到包含8个一级指标和24个二级指标的学术虚拟社区评价指标体系。其中,可靠性权重为0.2568,易用性权重为0.0625,规范性权重为0.0407,互动性权重为0.0888,关怀性权重为0.1176,丰富性权重为0.0322,有用性权重为0.1784,时效性权重为0.2230。最后以小木虫为例进行了评价分析。  相似文献

Numerous studies show empathic concern promotes altruistic motivation and prosocial behavior. Here, we discuss empathic concern, its relation to altruistic motivation, and how empathic concern is invoked in experimental studies. We do this with an eye toward applying laboratory techniques in the classroom, and everyday life, to foster empathic concern and altruistic responding. This goes beyond teaching about empathic concern to setting up conditions that help people experience this psychological state, and its benefits, firsthand. Smartphone-based ecological momentary interventions (EMIs) can help us do this by raising self- and other-awareness, and by promoting empathic states and practices in daily life. While smartphones often pull us away from direct personal interaction, we explore ways of using these devices to redirect our attention to those around us. We end by suggesting that these ways of helping people regularly experience and act upon empathic concern in daily life might help nurture a compassionate disposition.  相似文献

鉴于当前初创企业商业模式预评价的理论和实践难题,本研究综合运用R-聚类和变异系数分析等多种定性和定量研究方法,建立了定量的、层次化的初创企业商业模式预评价指标体系。该指标体系共包括目标层、准则层和指标层等三个层次,以商业模式竞争力为目标层,以创新度、成长度、效率度、稳定度、盈利度、区隔度、包容度等为准则层,并包括新颖性、差异化程度等29个指标层衡量指标。本研究丰富了商业模式预评价研究,在当前多样化、分散的商业模式预评价研究中建立起了初步的沟通桥梁,为初创企业在诸多商业模式潜在预案中做出抉择提供了可操作的评价指标体系依据,有助于商业模式理论研究和实践探索的深入。  相似文献
