Problems and Perspectives of a Theory of Transformational Processes of Bildung

In this essay, Hans-Christoph Koller presents a concept of transformational processes of Bildung in an attempt to redefine the German notion of Bildung referring to actual social conditions of educational processes. According to this conception, Bildung is a transformation of world- and self-relations that can come about when subjects are confronted with problems for which they have no established routines of engagement. With reference to theories of Pierre Bourdieu, Bernhard Waldenfels, and Ulrich Oevermann, Koller looks for answers to three questions: (1) Which concepts and theories are able to adequately grasp the world- and self-relations of subjects going through processes of Bildung? (2) How can the problems that trigger processes of Bildung and that challenge subjects to transform be determined more precisely? (3) How exactly does the emergence of new figures of world- and self-relations take place when we “successfully” complete a process of Bildung? Finally, the essay concludes with an attempt to clarify the normative implications of this theory.  相似文献

‘This could be our reality in the next five to ten years’: a blogpost platform as an expectation generation device on the future of insurance markets

William James (1919) characterises hypotheses as either live or dead. A hypothesis is live when it is taken into account as a ‘real possibility’. We follow James’ suggestion to not attribute intrinsic properties to hypotheses, but rather investigate how they came into being and look at the effects they generate. Expectations of digital technologies are a topic of vivid debate in the insurance industry. Before these expectations can become ‘live’, they have, in the first place, to be generated by market devices. We investigate how the reinsurance blogpost platform Open Minds functions as an ‘expectation generation device’ on the future of insurance markets. Combining Beckert’s work on the role of fictional expectations with the pragmatist turn in sociology of markets, we propose to study ‘expectation generation devices’, provoking expectations on economic markets. In our empirical analysis, we demonstrate the explicit fictional character of the Open Minds contributions, and analyse how a contained space of openness is generated to provoke expectations. We demonstrate how Open Minds can become live through circulation to other expectation generation sites in the insurance industry and beyond. We conclude by reflecting on the importance of expectation generation devices as a particular type of market devices.  相似文献

[目的/意义] 系统回溯国内图书馆新媒体移动服务研究的理论基础与实践案例，总结理论研究进展和实践应用中的共性特征与优势经验，剖析当前实践中存在的问题，并针对相关问题提出解决方案。[方法/过程] 以"中国科讯"为研究案例，总结其在服务路径、服务方式与服务能力方面的实践探索。[结果/结论] "中国科讯"有效解决了国内图书馆新媒体服务定位不明确、不清晰、不全面的三个问题。图书馆需要加快传统新媒体移动服务逐步向集成多种功能的新媒体移动服务转变。  相似文献

采用文献资料法等研究方法对新时代我国少数民族地区体育公共服务分层治理进行研究，旨在为提高我国少数民族地区体育公共服务质量和建设体育强国提供建议。研究认为，少数民族地区体育公共服务分层治理是基于我国社会分层的现状以及各阶层体育需求和参与特征存在的差异而采取的差异性治理方式，分层治理有"因层制宜"的意蕴，有利于促进我国少数民族地区体育公共服务均等化和改变少数民族地区体育公共服务"供给不足"和"供非所需"的困境。现阶段我国少数民族地区体育公共服务分层治理的思路包括明确少数民族地区体育公共服务分层治理主体责任、完善少数民族地区体育公共服务分层治理资金保障机制、积极探索少数民族地区体育公共服务分层供给方式、构建少数民族地区体育公共服务分层治理协商机制、建立少数民族地区体育公共服务分层供给绩效评价体系。  相似文献
