The business process outsourcing industry has got disrupted, first by the significant shift in value creation activities from the clients to the service providers, and second by pervasive digital penetration, resulting in the emergence of Digital Transformational Outsourcing (DTO). Service providers now play a more significant role, making their capabilities important. In the new context, service providers require a uniquely different set of dynamic capabilities to handle end-to-end business functions on behalf of their clients while delivering digital value propositions.We study 26 of the largest global business process outsourcing providers to conceptualise and identify six dynamic capabilities of service providers salient in the new context, i.e., consultative, orchestration, insights, network management, knowledge access, and standardisation. Interviews conducted with industry experts provided evidence in support of the identified dynamic capabilities. A novel firm capability dataset was created using secondary data, and using fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), we identify configurations for high and low performance and find them to vary by the firm's broad/narrow scope.  相似文献

Cloud computing is a popular outsourcing solution for organizations to support the information management during the life cycle of digital information goods. However, outsourcing management with a public provider results in a lack of control over digital products, which could produce incidents such as data unavailability during service outages, violations of confidentiality and/or legal issues. This paper presents a novel distribution model of digital products inspired by lean supply chain principles called CloudChain, which has been designed to support the information management during digital product lifecycle. This model enables connected networks of customers, partners and organizations to conduct the stages of digital product lifecycle as value chains. Virtual distribution channels are created over cloud resources for applications of organizations to deliver digital products to applications of partners through a seamless information flow. A configurable packing and logistic service was developed to ensure confidentiality and privacy in the product delivery by using encrypted packs. A chain management architecture enables organizations to keep tighter control over their value chains, distribution channels and digital products. CloudChain software instances were integrated to an information management system of a space agency. In an experimental evaluation CloudChain prototype was evaluated in a private cloud where the feasibility of applying supply chain principles to the delivery of digital products in terms of efficiency, flexibility and security was revealed.  相似文献

Digital-technology usage in dynamic and complex work practices is a core phenomenon in innovation research. There are, however, few detailed analyses of how people organize the use of digital tools in their work practices. We aim to offer more insight into how individual actors use digital technology, how these actors organize its use in collectives, and how they organize their work with that of other actors in order to realize collective-level goals. We implemented a qualitative research design, based on interviews in architectural firms complemented with observations and archival data. By analyzing interactions of multiple individual actors with digital technology, we found that actors organize usage in collectives through activities that we call configuring-in-use and reflecting; and that they combine these two organizational activities in order to realize collective-level goals. We identify the combination of these organizational activities as configurational usage. We contribute to literature on the usage of pervasive digital technology by providing a detailed empirical investigation of organized usage of digital technology. Furthermore, we refine the conceptualization of configurational usage, improving understanding of core processes of digital innovation.  相似文献

Citizen users play important roles in the acceleration phase of energy transitions, during which small-scale renewable energy technologies (S-RET) become taken up more widely. From users’ perspective, turning the early, and typically slow, proliferation into a more rapid and widespread diffusion requires not only the adoption of S-RET but also the adaptation, adjustment, intermediation and advocacy of S-RETs. These activities become necessary because S-RET face a variety of market, institutional, cultural and environmental conditions in different countries. New Internet-based energy communities have emerged and acted as key user-side transition intermediaries that catalyse these activities by qualifying market information, articulating demand and helping citizen users to reconfigure the standard technology to meet the specificities of different local contexts. In doing so, Internet communities foster an appreciatively critical discourse on technology. Such user intermediation is important in expanding the markets for S-RET beyond that of enthusiasts, environmentalists and other early adopters, to the early majority of adopters who demand more exposure, clearer information and less uncertainty about new technology options.  相似文献

Digital technologies allow teachers and students to experience new pedagogical approaches leveraging on interactivity and collaboration. Among the available techniques, digital storytelling (DST) has been usually regarded as an activity that can both enrich the teaching practices and foster students’ active behaviour. This paper aims at analysing to what extent a DST platform proposing the collaborative writing of a fictional story and leveraging on an active learning technique such as role-play can affect a variety of dimensions, namely students’ performance, commitment, creativity and social skills. Combining the analysis of the data-log automatically collected by the system with the evaluations given by teachers before and after the activity, this article shows that the use of a DST tool in the teaching practice can have positive effects on students, including the ones that usually manifest moderate scores for the previously mentioned dimensions. Additionally, semi-structured interviews and direct observations provide an insight on how the benefits stemming from the use of a DST tool in the classroom can especially lie on the collaborative process that is activated.  相似文献

Video production offers a way for students to learn content-area knowledge while simultaneously developing technology skills deemed important in contemporary society. Yet, the research has not been examined in a systematic way to reveal how these types of projects are oriented to align to instructional goals or how learning is investigated when they are implemented as part of content-area pedagogy. A scoping study was conducted to review the research literature on implementation of student video production in content-area classrooms. A total of 61 studies published from 2006 through 2017 were selected and analyzed through a systematic process. Findings suggest that video production projects were conducted to meet information, performance, composition, literacy, or creativity learning goals in content-area classrooms. Strategies used to investigate student learning included evaluation of learner perceptions, analysis of the process of creating video, assessment of the final video project, or a combination of these approaches.  相似文献

[目的/意义] 探究用户使用电子书意愿的影响因素,以有助于电子书产业走出缓慢的发展困境。[方法/过程] 以UTAUT2、使用满足理论为基础,从需求满足和外部情景因素两个层面构建影响因素模型,并将需求满足细化为内容需求、社交互动需求和休闲娱乐需求3个测量变量。采用问卷调查方法收集有效样本1 013份,使用AMOS21软件对模型进行验证。[结果/结论] 研究发现,需求满足、阅读习惯、价格价值、社会影响对使用意愿有正向影响作用,而激励措施对使用意愿有负向影响作用,努力期望对使用意愿的影响不显著,并依据研究结果提出促进电子书产业发展的建议。  相似文献

近年来,日本有越来越多的图书馆开始尝试将馆藏珍贵文献资源进行数字化并在网上公开服务。但从数字人文学角度而言,这些资源存在着"使用范围与规范不明确""公开的数据格式不统一""数字资源的搜索手段不完善"等种种问题,因而可能无法为读者提供有效的服务。"京都府立图书馆珍贵文献收藏"项目是将京都府立图书馆馆藏珍贵文献进行数字化并在网上公开服务,于2019年3月推出第一期,内容为明治时期到战后期(第二次世界大战结束后联合国军占领时期)面向外国游客、以京都为主的城市观光指南。该项目采用了CC0协议(创作共用协议零权利协议)使用许可、DOI机制(数字对象唯一标识符)、IIIF(国际化图像互操作框架),均为世界标准,开创了日本图书馆领域的先河,今后将向全国推广。此次报告我将介绍本系统研发的过程、系统构建的细节。我们还询问了市民与人文学专家的实际使用感受、系统的使用效果与改善意见,也将一并向各位介绍。  相似文献

在“中国制造2025”、“互联网+”的大背景下,高端装备制造业面临产品规模化定制与数字化战略转型的机遇和挑战。本文基于对高端定制化装备制造企业本质和典型特征的分析,提出一套以客户价值链和产品生命链为纲,研发设计数字化和产品机器人化为龙头,多个信息化系统为基础的高度适配的数字化体系架构,并解析了此体系架构各个部分的内涵和关系,重点阐述以“五维模型”为核心,面向高端定制化装备全生命周期管理的研发设计数字化思路和方案,最后以中国铁建重工集团有限公司数字化体系的规划和建设实践为例,总结了其对高端装备行业的借鉴意义以及未来发展的趋势。  相似文献
