Understanding and using symbolic fractions in mathematics is critical for access to advanced STEM concepts. However, children and adults consistently struggle with fractions. Here, we take a novel perspective on symbolic fractions, considering them within the framework of relational structures in cognitive psychology, such as those studied in analogy research. We tested the hypothesis that relational reasoning ability is important for reasoning about fractions by examining the relation between scores on a domain-general test of relational reasoning (TORR Jr.) and a test of fraction knowledge consisting of various types of fraction problems in 194 s grade and 145 fifth grade students. We found that relational reasoning was a significant predictor of fractions knowledge, even when controlling for non-verbal IQ and fractions magnitude processing for both grades. The effects of relational reasoning also remained significant when controlling for overall mathematics knowledge and skill for second graders but was attenuated for fifth graders. These findings suggest that this important subdomain of mathematical cognition is integrally tied to relational reasoning and opens the possibility that instruction targeting relational reasoning may prove to be a viable avenue for improving children’s fractions skills.  相似文献

Mothers who use substances need integrated, multi-sectoral intervention services to support substance use discontinuation. We explored mothers’ service use at Breaking the Cycle, an early intervention and prevention program for pregnant and parenting women and their young children in Toronto, Canada. We conducted retrospective analyses of families’ service records and client charts (N = 160). Aims were to 1) describe women’s use of service, 2) examine how early engagement of pregnant women related to postnatal service use, and 3) examine the circumstances in which women ended their service relationship with Breaking the Cycle. Specifically, we examined circumstances at service ending relating to women’s service goals; custody status with children; and global substance-use, parent-child relationship, and child development outcomes. We found that these vulnerable women were actively engaged in many services and for a long duration, early engagement was associated with greater service use, and greater service use was associated with more positive circumstances upon ending service. Results provide support for a relational approach to service that promotes not only the relationship between mother and child, and mother and service provider, but also highlights relationships among staff, between staff and management, and between community partners as integral to effective service delivery. Integrating positive relationships at all levels is critical to support vulnerable families with complex needs.  相似文献

[目的/意义] 针对包含单一类型知识单元的知识网络难以全面反映学科知识结构的问题,提出一种从多维度进行知识网络结构融合的方法,为学科领域知识结构挖掘提供借鉴。[方法/过程] 利用LDA及TF-IDF方法抽取学科知识单元,然后运用语义相似度和关键词共现分析方法构建3个学科知识子网络:主题网络、关键词网络和实体网络,并采用空间节点传递对齐方法对齐子网络节点,接着设计基于图卷积操作的自编码模型对知识节点进行表示,最后通过计算余弦相似度重构学科知识网络。[结果/结论] 实验部分以人工智能领域为例,构建融合主题、关键词和实体的学科知识网络并展开分析,实验结果表明,本文所提方法能有效地揭示学科领域研究内容和知识结构,为学科知识发现与组织研究提供有益参考。  相似文献

为建立绿色港口,实现港口的节能环保,对港口综合能源系统(port integrated energy system,PIES)的评价方法进行研究,提出一种主客观信息融合的PIES评价指标体系,将主观评价与数理统计模型进行结合,兼顾评价过程中的主客观因素,并采用基于马氏距离的统计检验方法对评分矩阵进行修正,实现对PIES的全面评价。通过青岛港董家口港区的调研数据,验证该方法的有效性。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

As an important part of art and culture, ancient murals depict a variety of different artistic images, and these individual images have important research value. For research purposes, it is often important to first determine the type of objects represented in a painting. However, the mural painting environment makes datasets difficult to collect, and long-term exposure leads to underlying features that are not distinct, which makes this task challenging. This study proposes a convolutional neural network model based on the classic AlexNet network model and combines it with feature fusion to automatically classify ancient mural images. Due to the lack of large-scale mural datasets, the model first expands the dataset by applying image enhancement algorithms such as scaling, brightness conversion, noise addition, and flipping; then, it extracts the underlying features (such as fresco edges) shared by the first stage of a dual channel structure. Subsequently, a second-stage deep abstraction is conducted on the features extracted by the first stage using a two-channel network, each of which has a different structure. The obtained characteristics from both channels are merged, and a loss function is constructed to obtain the classification result. This approach improves the model's robustness and feature expression ability. The model achieves an accuracy of 84.24%, a recall rate of 84.15%, and an F1-measure of 84.13% when applied to a constructed mural image dataset. Compared with the AlexNet model and other improved convolutional neural network models, the proposed model improves each evaluation index by approximately 5%, verifying the rationality and effectiveness of the model for automatic mural image classification. The mural classification model proposed in this paper comprehensively considers the influences of network width and depth and can extract rich details from mural images from multiple local channels. An effective classification method could help researchers manage and protect mural images in an orderly fashion and quickly and effectively search for target images in a digital mural library based on a specified image category, aiding mural condition monitoring and restoration efforts as well as archaeological and art historical research.  相似文献

[目的/意义]人类社会在从信息社会向后信息时代过渡的进程中,正在经历从"信息"向"智能"的跨越。在大数据环境和人工智能技术发展的双重因素作用下,知识融合作为知识化和智能化过程中的关键环节,为完善知识服务、智慧服务、催生高级智能形态提供了重要的理论和技术支撑。开展基于全学科视角的知识融合调研,扩展知识融合研究视域,为全面阐释知识融合研究现状,构建统一的知识融合理论研究框架提供借鉴。[方法/过程]本文采用定量与定性结合的文献分析方法,分析不同学科视角下知识融合研究现状,归纳知识融合在不同学科中的主要研究内容和关注的问题、知识融合涉及到的因素、知识融合的应用场景等。[结果/结论]知识融合研究属于多交叉学科领域,概念边界模糊,研究领域分散,目前尚未形成统一的研究框架。本文通过文献调研,在充分总结既往知识融合研究成果的基础上,划分知识融合的研究取向,为知识融合研究提出合理建议。  相似文献

The massive number of Internet of Things (IoT) devices connected to the Internet is continuously increasing. The operations of these devices rely on consuming huge amounts of energy. Power limitation is a major issue hindering the operation of IoT applications and services. To improve operational visibility, Low-power devices which constitute IoT networks, drive the need for sustainable sources of energy to carry out their tasks for a prolonged period of time. Moreover, the means to ensure energy sustainability and QoS must consider the stochastic nature of the energy supplies and dynamic IoT environments. Artificial Intelligence (AI) enhanced protocols and algorithms are capable of predicting and forecasting demand as well as providing leverage at different stages of energy use to supply. AI will improve the efficiency of energy infrastructure and decrease waste in distributed energy systems, ensuring their long-term viability. In this paper, we conduct a survey to explore enhanced AI-based solutions to achieve energy sustainability in IoT applications. AI is relevant through the integration of various Machine Learning (ML) and Swarm Intelligence (SI) techniques in the design of existing protocols. ML mechanisms used in the literature include variously supervised and unsupervised learning methods as well as reinforcement learning (RL) solutions. The survey constitutes a complete guideline for readers who wish to get acquainted with recent development and research advances in AI-based energy sustainability in IoT Networks. 科学知识和人文知识的分化逐渐加深了两类知识之间的隔阂与对立。将批判性思维引入两类知识的探讨旨在以批判性思维作为弥合两类知识分裂之突破口。科学知识中的批判性思维重在对客观真理的追寻,具体指向对逻辑思维不足、神学和迷信的批判。人文知识中的批判性思维重在对精神世界的观照,具体指向对技术主义弊端和绝对客观主义的批判。尽管科学知识和人文知识中批判性思维的特点不尽相同,但批判性思维强调科学知识和人文知识的自我反思,这为批判性思维促进两类知识的融合提供了可能性。从起点、过程、目的三个层面建构批判性思维促进科学知识和人文知识融合的路径,并在此基础上进一步提出构建"科学—人文"知识教学联合体以达成批判性思维视角下知识融合的教学。  相似文献

观点采择是个体社交能力的基础。关系框架理论RFT认为观点采择是一种操作性行为,其核心是包含人际、空间及时间三个维度的直证关系反应。基于RFT的评估和训练方案BHP采用多范例的方式来训练直证关系反应,从而促进观点采择。采用BHP方案训练孤独症儿童观点采择的多项研究发现,该方案能有效提升被试的观点采择能力,并有较好的维持和泛化效果,为孤独症儿童的社交能力发展奠定基础。本文通过介绍和批判性分析BHP及相关研究,为我国孤独症儿童观点采择训练提供新思路和新选择。  相似文献
