Writer identification approach based on bag of words with OBI features

Handwriter identification aims to simplify the task of forensic experts by providing them with semi-automated tools in order to enable them to narrow down the search to determine the final identification of an unknown handwritten sample. An identification algorithm aims to produce a list of predicted writers of the unknown handwritten sample ranked in terms of confidence measure metrics for use by the forensic expert will make the final decision.Most existing handwriter identification systems use either statistical or model-based approaches. To further improve the performances this paper proposes to deploy a combination of both approaches using Oriented Basic Image features and the concept of graphemes codebook. To reduce the resulting high dimensionality of the feature vector a Kernel Principal Component Analysis has been used. To gauge the effectiveness of the proposed method a performance analysis, using IAM dataset for English handwriting and ICFHR 2012 dataset for Arabic handwriting, has been carried out. The results obtained achieved an accuracy of 96% thus demonstrating its superiority when compared against similar techniques.  相似文献   

Between business and morality: cultural politics in independent bookshops in China

ABSTRACT

This article investigates how cultural businesses may facilitate contentious political activity in authoritarian contexts. Existing research in Western liberal democracies has shown the widespread political activism of actors in the cultural and creative industries. Whether such activism exists in authoritarian society, how it may differ in character and form, and what implications this will have for our understanding of relations between business, politics, and culture in authoritarian countries remain to be addressed. Drawing on data collected from 55 ‘independent bookshops’ in China, I illustrate how these organisations perform ‘cultural politics,’ a type of political participation in which actors employ mainly symbolic means to express social and political concerns. The organisations’ economic relations and conditions facilitate their efforts to create spaces in which contentious questions can be raised, sensitive topics explored, and alternative ideas expressed, despite the Chinese state’s political regulation of the cultural sphere. The finding of the economic embeddedness of cultural politics sheds new light on our understanding of the political economy of cultural businesses in contemporary China.  相似文献   

市场认同上市公司研发支出资本化的价值吗?——基于创业板的经验证据

基于创业板的相关数据,利用改进后的股票价格模型和股票收益率模型,检验资本化研发支出的价值相关性,并对不同种类资本化研发支出(自主研发无形资产和开发支出)对公司价值影响的差异性进行了深入分析。研究发现,资本化研发支出与股票价格和股票收益率不相关,费用化研发支出与股票价格和股票收益率显著负相关;自主研发无形资产与股票价格不相关但与股票收益率显著正相关,开发支出与股票价格和股票收益率不相关。研究结果表明创业板上市公司资本化的研发支出具有一定的价值相关性,但股票市场投资者对创业板的资本化研发支出反应不充分,并且这种疑虑主要是由于开发支出导致的。  相似文献   

个人云存储网站影响力评价体系构建研究

[目的/意义]个人云存储网站影响力的有效评价对用户选择云存储服务有着重要的参考作用，为个人云存储服务提供商改善网站设计质量提供方向。[方法/过程]通过整合WebQual 4.0模型和中国顾客满意度测评指标体系，并结合个人云存储功能特征，构建了个人云存储网站影响力评价指标体系，运用层次分析法计算各层级指标权重。选取典型个人云存储网站（百度网盘、腾讯微云、天翼网盘、115网盘）进行实证分析。[结果/结论]研究结果显示，对个人云存储网站影响力作用较大的指标主要包括：存储容量、有用性、高效分享、用户规模。百度网盘网站影响力最大，115网盘网站最小。未来个人云存储网站服务提供商应更加关注网站存储容量、有用性、高效分享及用户规模方面的提升。  相似文献

【目的】 分析科技期刊钓鱼网站常用技术手段，并提出防范措施。【方法】 总结科技期刊钓鱼网站屡禁不止的原因，分析钓鱼网站常用的技术手段，从科技期刊、作者、政府相关部门、互联网企业等方面提出防范科技期刊钓鱼网站的具体措施。【结果】 假冒科技期刊官方网站网址和利用漏洞攻击科技期刊官方网站是科技期刊钓鱼网站常用技术手段。为了遏制钓鱼网站的不法行为，科技期刊编辑部需重视网络安全建设，并努力提升官方网站的可见度；作者应提高防范意识；政府相关部门需提高监管水平；互联网企业应加大防范力度。【结论】 只要科技期刊、作者、政府相关部门、互联网企业等多方共同采取切实有效的防范措施，定会让钓鱼网站再无可乘之机。  相似文献

自主创新、协同研发与外国技术——基于地区工业企业数据

创新是经济增长的核心,研究制约我国区域技术创新效率的内外部影响因素,对于建成自主创新型国家具有重要的理论和现实意义。文章通过应用随机前沿模型,基于全国各地区规模以上工业企业的面板数据,实证测算了各地区技术创新效率,并从区域创新网络系统的角度,主要考察了自主创新、协同研发与外国技术对创新效率的影响。研究发现:我国区域技术创新效率处于较低水平,自主创新能力较弱,协同研发对技术创新效率的影响不显著,而外国技术却有着显著的正向影响,这反映出我国产学研合作平台建设有待完善;东中西部地区的创新能力差异在进一步缩小;教育水平对技术创新效率产生负向作用,这表明我国的教育体制存在严重问题,改革教育体制势在必行。  相似文献
