A controversial issue in the field of Second Language spoken English acquisition is which one plays a more important role, the formulaic speech or the creative rules? And researchers have long kept different opinions about the definition of formulaic speech. The present paper discusses the definition of formulaic speech, describes relevant empirical studies and summarizes some roles of formulaic speech from our own experiments, hoping to provide some insights for second language spoken English teaching and learning. 相似文献
