Color is an essential material for painting and creates marvelous world. Though it is not supposed to be one of the materials in the novel, colors in The Great Gatsby present a colorful novel in painting world. Green, traditionally associated with good images such as spring,hope and youth, is a significant color in g Gatsby's world. Nevertheless, green has a symbolic meaning of despair and instead hope.
