Software engineering education has been emerging as an independent and mature discipline. Accordingly, various studies are being done to provide guidelines for curriculum design. The main focus of these guidelines is around core and foundation courses. This paper summarizes the current problems of software engineering education programs. It also proposes some important dimensions as integral parts of software engineering education: interdisciplinary skills, practice experience, communication, skills on continuing education and professionalism. In the current guidelines and studies these dimensions are not addressed specifically. Although there could be other dimensions to be considered in software engineering education, we believe that the proposed ones are very crucial as software engineering is evolving more rapidly than any other engineering discipline. This study also provides a survey of some major universities’ undergraduate software engineering programs to evaluate these dimensions.  相似文献

In Part I, the nature of scalars and vectors was discussed for the Newtonian world. However, in the relativistic world, physical quantities follow Lorentz transformations. Building upon self-regulated learning theories, we examined the nature of student writing goals and the relationship of these writing goals to revision alone and in combination with two other important sources of students’ self-regulated revision—peer comments on their writing, and reflections for their own writing obtained from reviewing others’ writing. Data were obtained from a large introductory undergraduate class in the context of two 1000-word writing assignments involving online peer review and a required revision. We began with an investigation of students’ free response learning goals and a follow-up quantitative survey about the nature and structure of these writing goals. We found that: (a) students tended to create high-level substantive goals more often, (b) students change their writing goals across papers even for a very similar assignment, and (c) their writing goals divide into three dimensions: general writing goals, genre writing goals, and assignment goals. We then closely coded and analyzed the relative levels of association of revision changes with writing goals, peer comments, reflections from peer review, and combinations of these sources. Findings suggest that high-level revisions are commonly associated with writing goals, are especially likely to occur for combinations of the three sources, and peer comments alone appeared to make the largest contributions to revision.  相似文献

This article deals with the various properties of electromagnetic radiation, its sources and detectors, its nature, and its uses. Machining of micro holes with micro electro- chemical machining (micro ECM) process has been carried out with an indigenously developed set up. This paper describes relevant problems and solutions for the circular micro holes machining process on 304 stainless steel sheets with 60 μm thickness using high speed steel cylindrical tool of diameter 500 ~tm and using dilute I-I2SO4 as elec- trolyte. The taper angle variation of the machined hole is analyzed and reported for different experimental setting parameters. The minimum value of the taper angle of machined holes is achieved at the parameter setting of 0.4 mol/L H2504, 700 kHz, 600 ns and 21 V, for stainless steel sheets and HSS tool.  相似文献

This paper presents an optimal fuzzy partition based Takagi Sugeno Fuzzy Model (TSFM) in which a novel clustering algorithm, known as Modified Fuzzy C-Regression Model (MFCRM), has been proposed. The objective function of MFCRM algorithm has been developed by considering of geometrical structure of input data and linear functional relation between input–output data. The MFCRM partitions the data space to create fuzzy subspaces (rules). A new validation criterion has been developed for detecting the right number of rules (subspaces) in a given data set. The obtained fuzzy partition is used to build the fuzzy structure and identify the premise parameters. Once, right number of rules and premise parameters have been identified, then consequent parameters have been identified by orthogonal least square (OLS) approach. The cluster validation index has been tested on synthetic data set. The effectiveness of MFCRM based TSFM has been validated on benchmark examples, such as Boiler Turbine system, Mackey–Glass time series data and Box–Jenkins model. The model performance is also validated through high-dimensional data such as Auto-MPG data and Boston Housing data.  相似文献

Based on questionaire responses from clients who have taken over indiginous technologies for commercialisation, an attempt has been made to identify and assess the relative magnitude and impact of the positive and negative factors influencing technology trnsfers. Parameters dealt with in this study relate to: (a) problems of time-lag; (b) the status, nature and extent of development of technologies; (c) sources of help in the commercial implementation of the technologies; (d) qualitative aspects of factors, such as plant design, operational difficulties, market demand and post-trnsfer assistance given by the transferring institutions; (e) capital investment needed for commercialisation of the technologies;p and (f) the general reaction of the clients to the technology transferred. The conclusions deal with minimising time-consuming procedural interlinks, selection of clients, avoidable managerial lapses in project selection, improving and augmenting the design and engineering capability of the transferring institutions, and uniform wxtension of post-transfer services to the clients.  相似文献

This paper intends to present an overview of a mobile game-based learning application, BaghLearn that develops and upskills programming and algorithmic knowledge by cross-curricular capabilities through a traditional world-based game. The focus of this research was to explore the learning effectiveness of BaghLearn on students. Mixed method research approach was applied to collect, process and analyze the research data in which undergraduate students who had some prior knowledge or had taken algorithm courses were instructed to test the mobile game learning application. This study exhibits the idea of integrating learning with contextual mobile game as an effective approach in understanding the influence of games towards cognitive achievements of students in computing education. In addition, there are no major requirements for the use of this application (can be maintained in resource-constrained contexts such as Nepal), which makes it expressively satisfying and useful for students who are relentlessly using mobile devices. Besides, this study evaluated the influence of BaghLearn towards learning of the design and analysis of algorithm course, which is a compulsory course for most undergraduate computing education program. Furthermore, the study findings can be used as a guideline for developing learning solutions and usability evaluation of such solutions, especially for infrastructure-constrained contexts. Students using the BaghLearn opined that the application is easy to use, supportive and lead to improved learning satisfaction.
