There is a substantial difference in use and development of information and communication technologies and services between and within countries. Some denote this phenomenon as the digital divide.This paper addresses the competence aspect of the digital divide. It proposes municipal ICT schools as one model aimed to bridge this gap and provides an assessment of the model based on the results from a field trial in three rural municipalities in Norway. The model brings the benefits of increased competence of ICT in the communities but in addition have a potential with regard to stimulating talent development, serving as a resource for local business and offering meeting places in the communities for building social capital. The model may be successfully implemented within reasonable economic limitations but is also challenging in several ways, for instance on how teaching resources are recruited and supported.The purpose of the paper is to bring forward the discussion about how to bring all people, also those in rural areas, to be participators in the information technology age.  相似文献

We discuss a teaching approach that we believe promotes deep learning and diminishes the powerful voice of the teacher, thereby allowing students and the teacher to reason actively and inquire together in the classroom. This teaching approach is based on an integration of the concepts of dialogue and of mediation and utilizes learning tasks to structure dialogue with students during classroom meetings and outside the classroom, when students work independently. Students' experiences of this approach within the two courses reported on in the article were generally positive.  相似文献

Recent theories suggest that negative effects of fatigue on performance are determined by perception of effort and motivation rather than being directly caused by reaching physiological limits. In the current experiment, the influence of motivation on fatigue-induced decrements in soccer performance was experimentally investigated. Sixty amateur soccer players performed a validated soccer-passing test before and after a fatigue protocol. Results showed that players’ motivation and performance decreased after the fatigue protocol for players in the control group. In contrast, players in the motivation group (i.e., with motivation experimentally induced after the fatigue protocol) were able to uphold their motivation and increase their performance. These results indicate that motivation plays a crucial role in performance under fatigue, as fatigue-induced decrements in soccer passing performance can be counteracted by high levels of motivation. Future research may explore the limits of this counteracting effect and extend findings to other relevant performance aspects.  相似文献

The object of the current study was to investigate anxiety-induced changes in movement and gaze behavior in novices on a climbing wall. Identical traverses were situated at high and low levels on a climbing wall to manipulate anxiety. In line with earlier studies, climbing times and movement times increased under anxiety. These changes were accompanied by similar changes in total and average fixation duration and the number of fixations, which were primarily aimed at the holds used for climbing. In combination with these findings, a decrease in search rate provided evidence for a decrease in processing efficiency as anxiety increased.  相似文献

The effects of training with overweight and underweight cricket balls on fast-bowling speed and accuracy were investigated in senior club cricket bowlers randomly assigned to either a traditional (n = 9) or modified-implement training (n = 7) group. Both groups performed bowling training three times a week for 10 weeks. The traditional training group bowled only regulation cricket balls (156 g), whereas the modified-implement training group bowled a combination of overweight (161-181 g), underweight (151-131 g) and regulation cricket balls. A radar gun measured the speed of 18 consecutive deliveries for each bowler before, during and after the training period. Video recordings of the deliveries were also analysed to determine bowling accuracy in terms of first-bounce distance from the stumps. Bowling speed, which was initially 108 +/- 5 km h(-1) (mean +/- standard deviation), increased in the modified-implement training group by 4.0 km x h(-1) and in the traditional training group by 1.3 km x h(-1) (difference, 2.7 km x h(-1); 90% confidence limits, 1.2 to 4.2 km x h(-1)). For a minimum worthwhile change of 5 km x h(-1), the chances that the true effect on bowling speed was practically beneficial/trivial/harmful were 1.0/99/< 0.1%. For bowling accuracy, the chances were 1/48/51%. This modified-implement training programme is not a useful training strategy for club cricketers.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung. Zusammenfassung Der Softwaremarkt für Data-Warehouse-Systeme hat in den letzten Jahren stark zugenommen. Da Standards fehlen, bringen Softwaresysteme jeweils eigene multidimensionale Datenmodelle und (physische) Entwurfswerkzeuge mit, sodass der Entwurf von Data-Warehouse-Datenbanken verfrüht auf die eingesetzten Systeme zugeschnitten ist. In diesem Beitrag präsentieren wir ein werkzeuggestütztes Entwurfsvorgehen, das ausgehend von einem Drei-Ebenen-Entwurf die zielplattformunabhängige, konzeptionelle Modellierung multidimensionaler Data-Warehouse-Schemata und anschliesend eine Transformation und Optimierung dieser Schemata für konkrete Zielplattformen ermöglicht. Zusammenfassung. In diesem Beitrag wird eine Methode zur Konstruktion robuster Klassenhierarchien vorgestellt. Hierzu wird aus den überlegungen bezüglich der polymorphen Verwendung von Klassen [2] eine Vorgehensweise zur Konstruktion von Klassenhierarchien abgeleitet. Die Begriffe Konformit?t und Spezialisierung werden verfeinert, indem nicht mehr s?mtliche Methoden einer Klasse, sondern Teilmengen davon betrachtet werden. Dies führt zum Begriff der partiellen Konformit?t. In Erweiterung von [2] sind partiell konforme Klassen dann polymorph verwendbar, wenn der Anwendungskontext, der sich aus der Benutzung der Klasse ergibt, sich ausschlie?lich auf konforme Methoden erstreckt.
