In the 1990s, two models for the financing of higher education were introduced in Rhineland- Palatinate. In 1993, a special system for distributing the budget was established (Mittelbemes sungsmodell) . According to this model, [euro]35 million is given to eleven universities annually. In 1998, a second model, called Personalbemessungskonzept, was implemented. Here the personnel costs for approximately 7,000 academic and non-academic members are distributed amongst the universities. EuCEENet forms a new basis for communication between European centres of excellence in continuing engineering education. It provides an infrastructure for persons in charge of continuing engineering education within the participating institutions for continuous discussion and cooperation in areas of common interest, to act as access points to continuing engineering education provisions at a European level, and for collaborative European continuing engineering education efforts. The University Extension Centre at Vienna University of Technology established EuCEENet on the basis of standard listserv software provided for EARN. EuCEENet is able to support many activities of its members. Its strength is that participants are connected personally and not only technologically and that they are representing organizations with similar objectives and quality standards so that they can trust each other. 相似文献

The unfolding of individual interests is reconstructed as part of a person's everyday experience in dealing with multiple goals. This is exemplified by referring to how adolescents cope with developmental tasks while striving for their ideal selves. Exploratory interaction with objects of potential interest is regarded as a central element that provides information on the criteria for interestingness and enables selective choices. When exploring an object of potential interest, persons have to take into account other goals that may or may not be conflicting. The basic idea is to foster interest development while minimizing goal conflicts and the resulting problems of diminished experience in the interesting activity or diminished performance in noninteresting but important activities. 相似文献

Vocational Education and Training and Human Capital Development: current practice and future options

EU neighbouring countries (partner countries) have made considerable efforts to improve their vocational education and training (VET) systems, with different policies and strategies that take account of country-specific priorities in human capital development. This article addresses the donor community. It analyses the role of partner countries' VET in contributing to human capital development in order to benefit better from the globalised economy. The emerging debate on the role of VET in these countries and among donors is considered in terms of the functional dimensions of employability, productivity and sustainable growth, taking into account the economic, social and ecological dimension of growth and development. Not addressed is the systemic perspective on VET in terms of improving existing curricula, learning arrangements and textbooks. The article focuses, rather, on functional dimensions of VET that are relevant to achieve development goals and makes some recommendations for international cooperation. Given the complexity of multi-stakeholder-driven VET systems, cooperation needs to build on existing VET structures. Moreover, cooperation must contribute to an effective reform implementation. 相似文献
