This research is designed to provide information for participants, facilitators and policy makers in the area of Extended Schools. Its salient purpose is to investigate and examine the feelings, beliefs and attitudes of teachers and parents involved in the development of the Extended Schools project in Northern Ireland. The Extended Schools project was formally launched by the Northern Ireland Secretary of State on 7 March 2006, and aims to provide a wide range of services and activities in school with the intention of helping to meet the needs of children, their families and the wider community. The qualitative approach was deemed the most appropriate methodology for gathering data.  相似文献

明代温州人姜准撰写的《岐海琐谈》,记载了大量宋元明时期的温州民间信仰资料,其内容涵盖神灵信仰、鬼怪信仰和巫卜类信仰三类,是研究温州地区民间信仰的重要文献。时过境迁,但《岐海琐谈》中所记载的许多民间信仰依然广泛存在于现代化的温州社会中,传统的民间信仰发挥着现代化社会所必需的某些社会功能,传统民间信仰的衰萎也将是一个相当长的历史过程。  相似文献

Reform‐based curriculum materials have been suggested as a mechanism to make inquiry‐based instruction more prevalent in secondary science classrooms, specifically when accompanied by comprehensive professional development (Loucks‐Horsley, Hewson, Love, & Stiles, 1998 ; Powell & Anderson, 2002 ). This research examines the implementation of a reform‐based high school chemistry curriculum in a large, urban school district. We explicitly consider the role of the teachers' knowledge and beliefs in their implementation of the reform‐based chemistry curriculum, as well as school level factors. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected in the form of beliefs interviews and classroom observations from 27 high school chemistry teachers. Analysis of the data revealed that implementation of the curriculum was strongly influenced by the teachers' beliefs about teaching and learning, and the presence of a supportive network at their school sites. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The aim of this study was to examine teachers’ perceptions and concerns about the implementation of the preschool curriculum developed over 10 years (2005–2015). This paper reports findings from an interpretive case study design in four preschool settings in Tanzania with 12 teachers and 8 parent participants. Data were generated using interviews and documentation. The research focus was on how teachers have implemented the 2005 preschool curriculum. The findings indicate that the implementation of the curriculum was problematic due to teachers’ lack of knowledge of a child-centred pedagogy. In addition there were no teachers qualified to work with young children, overcrowded classrooms, poor teaching and learning environments, and insufficient teaching and learning materials and facilities. This study recommends that to improve the current situation and attain quality provision of early education, teachers need to develop their professional knowledge through in-service training. The government policy planners need to provide initial teacher education, professional development, and conducive teaching and learning environments with available resources for effective teaching and learning practices.  相似文献

The objective of this study centres on identifying and classifying the conceptions of teaching and learning held by future secondary school teachers, and on analysing the relationship between these conceptions and the way classroom space is organized and exams are designed. The test instruments used were applied to a sample of 138 graduates, who were all following the Pedagogical Aptitude Course (CAP) during the academic year 2002/03. Results show that the more traditional teaching/learning models are related to a more vertical classroom layout. Significant correlations between beliefs and exam demands were also found.  相似文献

大学生理想信念教育的困境,并不是社会主义理想信念的真理性价值的丧失,也不是大学生主体性价值需求的不足,而是作为真知的社会理想信念与大学生个体价值认同的矛盾分裂。在坚持社会主义理想信念法权地位的基础上,加强和改进大学生理想信念教育,必须实现社会理想信念与大学生个体价值认同的统一。在由特殊向一般、个体向社会转化的过程中道德信仰起着价值中介、基础的作用,具体表现为道德信仰的社会历史功能和理论逻辑功能及其统一。而这在理想信念教育中又具有普遍性,并具有示范和推广意义。  相似文献
