| 摘 要： | 文章主要以英译汉诗的语篇为例，从词义和语篇的层面上探讨了英语与汉语在表现形式上的本色和差异。其一，在语义上，英语词汇具有客观明晰、词丰义微、以多代少的特点，但并不冗余；汉语词汇则有主观概括、词约义富、以少替多的特点，但并不短缺。其二，在语篇上，英语具有衔接严谨、诉诸理性、语篇易长的特点；汉语则连贯紧凑、诉诸意象、语篇易短。正因如此，英诗诗意易于明朗，汉诗诗意易于模糊。认识这两种显著的差异，可以从英汉互译的角度。促进英语学习的研究。
