| 摘 要： | 模糊限制语是一种常见的语言现象,它主要分为变动型和缓和型两大类。在跨文化交际中,模糊限制语的使用能够体现礼貌原则,起到缓和语气、避免冲突的作用。文章从跨文化交际的角度,阐释了模糊限制语所具有的多种不同的语用功能。

| Abstract: | Hedge is a common language phenomenon, mainly consisting of approximators and shields. In eross-cuhural communication, the proper use of it can make English speeches polite, mild and avoiding conflicts. This paper explores the different pragmatic functions from the perspective of cross-cultural communication. |
