摘    要:<21世纪大学英语>(21st Century College English)是获奖的"全国普通高校优秀教材".该教材文化背景知识(Text-related Information)丰富、内容新颖.在教学中充分利用教材中的文化背景内涵,加强大学英语文化融入教学,是提高学生的跨文化交际能力和适应日益增强的国际交流的需要.

Abstract:st Century College English" has been awarded the "Excellent Text-Books of China's Normal Higher Institutes". The article lays stress on the analysis of the rich and clored text-related information of the text-books and then sets forth how to make ful use of the rich and clored text-related information to further develop the teaching of English culture-introduction, so that the students can constantly improve their cross-culture communicative competence and to meet the requirements of the world-wide cross-culture communication.
